If you're talking about porting Sephiroth's model or something over to Diddy, then yes, it'll work and not break your game, but depending on which character you're putting over who, there can be some glitches, but most are fixable. It's one slot to do so.
Hmm... I see. Stiff competition. Hopefully, that'll only make our PSAs better!
Anyways, I'm probably still going to continue working on Marth, but afterwards, I might try a port onto Diddy, because Marth and Diddy have the same number of bones and Diddy's TransN index is less than Marth's.
No offense to you, but I think Sephiroth will be popular for a similar reason to something like Cloud or Shadow: everyone has the costume, so the PSA will fit right in. Again, I see your point, though, and I will consider a port onto Diddy.
Anyways, this isn't the place for it, but Soren was my very first PSA that I got and it inspired me to start PSA... so yeah, you're kinda like my idol and it's a pleasure to compete with you
Maybe I could try to port Soren or Aeon over to Diddy, too?
@Mr. N: I can see why you would feel that way... there are many, many PSAs on Marth, but there are many PSAs on Ike, too, and Cloud beat out all of them, and I'm hoping Sephiroth can do the same for a similar reason.
@Aafyre: Yeah, I saw it a long time ago and it had some really brilliant ideas and the way each move had a GIF for it really won me over. And you make a good point that we really do need a Sephiroth PSA.
Many of the moves look very reasonable to do, and some of the more interesting effects like wall jumping can be done the same way Eldiran added wall jumps to Zero, so I think we have a great project here!
Maybe you can just use a little ghetto fix... detect the B button being pressed and the Control Stick being held down at the same time in all Fall animations and then go to the Subaction.
I think so... you might have to copy over the subactions that he used, too, because he decreased range and stuff like that. Check his post for other things he changed.
Either you can change the hitboxes and stuff on Eldiran's Sword Ganon or you can let B+ Ganon draw out the sword.
Eldiran made it so the down taunt creates the article or deletes it. Also, he used a variable (I think) to detect whether the sword is drawn or not to determine whether or not to use the sword version of the move or the normal version.
To attach the sword to Ganon's hand permanently, go to the root for Ganon's sword in a hex editor and go to the offset 8 more than the root. That'll be the bone that the article is attached to. Just change it to Ganon's hand bone.
Or you can look in an unedited PAC and go to 0x00021CD3 and find where that is in the edited B+ PAC.
You might have to look at Eldiran's Sword Ganon code in PSA to find out more about the specifics, but I think that's the general idea.
OK, I'm back... and I happen to like color. And my life will start again when school starts in a week.
So... let's get all the moves straight so I can finish as fast as possible.
Is the down B going to be Ruin or Cure or what?
If the Neutral B travels along the ground, how is it supposed to work when you're in the air?
So... Aero is just going to be teleporting? Is it going to be like... you have a little time window and then you choose a direction and then warp in one of 8 directions? And what in the world is it supposed to look like?
Anybody can help me find videos of moves because I've never played the game...
And I'm going to be gone again for two days, so I won't be working on it or anything, but once I get back, I'll try to shift into gear and finish really fast!
