That would be easily abusable. It's better to have someone with a more impartial mindset and criteria to judge what to do in each situation and how to deal with rule-breaking users.
Unless I'm mistaken, I removed the DD pin at the same time as the ESH one. And NR is more like the staff managing the French side of the community. Not really a hacking team (though they still make hacks), but it sounds close enough to me.
So, in other words... No, they aren't a team. I kept wondering why their site was just a forum. I guess they're your buddies?
And since the ESH pin was still present in the OP even tho the DD one wasn't... it was natural to think the ESH pin still remained active.
Oh... and it seems I've achieved the requirements for the pin collector award.
I like the concepts of the 2 new awards... but the designs not so much, specially the warm welcomer one.
And I just noticed you removed the DasDonkey pin? Sure, we recently decided to stop doing more, but ESH has been dead for more time and there's still their pin. And is Nintendo Revolution even a hacking team?
it should be done more often and more promoted. I didnt even know.
More often? Nah. I think annually is the best way to go. Doing it every few months would take away credibility from the "award ceremony". After all, uncommon things or that happen less often tend to be better valued.
Like Vamayro said, hackers that have been around longer and know more people are more likely to win (not necessarily a bad thing), but it could turn into a popularity contest.
The 2 previous ones have already been popularity contests. People tend to vote just for the hackers they know or like, instead of taking it more objectively... but that's to be expected.
I think Raziel would be better without FS eyes. But if you give him FS eyes, it would be more fitting to have bluish or greenish shining eyes since that's how he's always been depicted.
As for the weapons you mentioned, it would be cool if he had a version of the soul reaver.
There are topics, like certain videogame franchises, that are really popular and have threads dedicated to them. However, sometimes the threads stay dead for some time due to the lack of relevant news going on. But when something relevant surges, only the original author of the thread is allowed to revive the thread according to the rules.
There's where the problem rises, the other users who want to post there refrain from doing so because it's against the rules to necropost, and end up making new threads for the same things that could or should just go in an already existent thread. This also happens if they don't see the thread within the first 2 pages. So instead of reviving the Zelda main thread, people make 3 or more new Zelda threads.
I was considering to just make sticky the most popular threads in off-topic, to fix the necroposting inconvenience, but if I did, it would fill the majority of the first page.
So I want to suggest an "official thread" system. It would just mean that threads dedicated to either popular themes or big topics of discussion, like the next smash, would have "Official Thread" added to the name of the thread, and would mean any user can revive the discussion at any given time, but also including the obligation of posting all related content there instead of making new small threads.
Oh... I just noticed that because of how the word censor works, any posts made and/or edited during the day kept the cat puns even after the censor was removed.
I just had to edit a huge post to fix all those stupid puns and broken links/images. Thanks a [censored]ing lot.
Also, I just did some Google searches to find those. I'm pretty sure there are better icons out there, I just took the first ones I found that fitted the size.
The 3 for admin, global mod, and team member. Simply because from a distance you can't even tell the difference, the 3 of them just look like a white cat from afar.
The black cat for local mods has a different style from all the others, looks like a low quality picture and the cat silhouette would make more sense for team members.
I'm personally not fond of the "green star" cat, but it works fine. It's clear and differentiates clearly from the others.
I say the cats instead of stars are fine and make sense in a site like this. Although some of them don't look that good... and I think it would be convenient to have the admin, global mod and team member cats be more differentiable from each other.
About the other things during the day... The default avatar was ok I guess, only noticed it when an user changed his avatar. The cat puns censor was amusing for a few posts, but grew stale pretty fast. Not to mention that it was annoying getting broken links and images. Nepeta at the bottom was just meh imo.
There's a sub-forum called "Moderation Corner" at the bottom of the forum index for these type of questions and concerns.
And since I've warned you before, let me answer in the simplest way possible. The forums have rules, you've infringed them and that's why you've been warned several times. There isn't a special bias against you.
