An update? Um. Yes!

I love the work with the mod... always wish Waluigi got his chance to shine... which is why I made a petition about it! I found this mod/hack through a google search. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to sign the petition to "give Waluigi a chance in the spotlight" It'd be greatly appreciated!

I love Waluigi, but, even if you get 150,000 signs, which is already unlikely, I doubt Nintendo will bat an eye.
But hey, good luck.

Alright, I managed to fix the translation control. Works perfectly in world coords all the time even if the bone is rotated.

That is incredibly good to hear.

Hm... Maybe his pummel could have reduced damage.

The Waa's advantage though is. Unlike Warlock Punch, or Falcon Punch... It's safe to use in the air off stage. You can gimp a foe, or pressure them with it.

His forward smash is based on one of the assist trophy versions' last hits. Which sends the foe flying.

The recovery could be a character weakness. Not every character has a amazing recovery. Plus, try his down B, without pressing anything until it's animation ends. Then use an up B/side B. This extends his recovery a bit.

The dodge roll, along with other animations will be fixed.

You don't think his throws are over powered?

Air Waa's. Fair enough.

I was aware it was his assist move, I didn't think it made a lot of sense then as well. I still personally think it should be switched with his tilt. It just... fits more, I think.

I thought maybe his horrible recovery was intentional. I was aware using his down and occasionally side special could also be used... perhaps I need to play with him a bit more to determine how balanced I think it is.

I'm still working on it... it technically is in world coords, but the conversion to local isn't perfect. >_>

Good to know. Thanks in advance for when you do that. As far as I can tell BrawlBox really is an amazing program and you've done a lot of good work. Kudos to you.

Is it possible to translate bones in accordance with the world? So if you move an arm left, it only moves left, and not diagonal? It's not too difficult to work with as it is, but if it's possible...

I would have too, but I assume there will be a lot of "waa's" included in the sound pack. So having one you can do on command wouldn't sound very nice if you spammed it. But I also don't know if other moves will have him "waa" so. Eh. It's up to MK64.

Quasi-relevant. Thought I'd post these here as... motivation or something.

Most throws do around 7-10% damage, but his do 13-15%. And his grab pummels do 4% as opposed to everyone else's 2%.

His Neutral Special (which will be great with a proper WAA) is a little bit too weak. It's only slightly slower than the Warlock Punch which does a whopping 32% and has a huge knock back as opposed to Waluigi's 15%.

His forward smash doesn't seem like a launching attack as he's kicking the ground. You should switch it with his forward tilt.

He is incredibly difficult to recover with. He falls very fast, doesn't maneuver too well in the air and his recovery move only directs him straight up, hardly helping at all.

As stated the dodges are very unfitting.

Anyway I'm really looking forward to seeing how this improves as it's quite good already. I love how he plays (other than his recovery of course). Can't wait for the sound pack.

Well.... this... is going to make things easier. Thank you.

Is there no way to translate without inputting coordinates?

Waluigi is one of my favourite characters and would love to review him.
I can already say you should change the dodges but I'm sure you're going to do that anyway.

Hey, you're welcome.  ^_^

Thank you, although I still have a small handful of other ideas.
I hope somebody offers to do a bit of psa work, and that the fact I'm willing to animate will help.
14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Project Mewtwo on: April 15, 2013, 03:22:18 PM
I was unhappy with the "final" release of Mewtwo as it was still quite unpolished.

I've added charge animations to his smash attacks and slightly improved his neutral special animations. I wouldn't mind improving more of his animations (and possibly redoing the ones I did as they were done a bit quickly). But I was hoping someone would be willing to offer to help with the psa just a tiny bit first (my requests are all rather simple I think). Could somebody:

1. Remove the yellow flashes from his attacks. I know other characters flash a tiny bit too, but I never even noticed it, Mewtwo just blatantly flashes yellow and it's quite ugly. If you could make it look like the other charges that would be nice, but honestly it would be okay to simply remove the flashing all together.

2. Remove some unneeded effects. His Final Smash has a bunch of wind animations, it plants the opponents in the ground and then he does this explosion thing. It would be nice to have it reverted to Lucarios Final Smash. His Up Smash also has some unneeded "star" effects. Just the one "flash" effect or darkness effect would be nice, instead of three different effects piled on top of each other.

3. I'd like to give him a one handed Neutral Special (Shadow Ball?). It seems to fit his character more. I can make the animation but I can't make the effects appear in the right place (the energy ball). The effects for all his attacks for the animations I change actually are in the wrong place, so if those could kindly be fixed as well.

Here is my slightly improved Motion file for Lucario for anybody interested in helping and would like to see the  animations I made. http://www.mediafire.com/?5knrc1qvscjuwqw

That would be brilliant Cheesy.
Oh and for what it's worth, his version of the attack is called Assault Rain.
