To give Link faces, you need to vertex them off the original face polygon. So, do this:
Vertex each different face (Note! Vertex: Moving vertex point, not adding or deleting more nor modifying the mesh other than for moving and rotating its current vertex points) off a clone of the current face polygon.
Once you are done with a face, save the .MAX file then proceed to make the next face (Cloned of the main face).
Once done with them all, import into BrawlBox and rename the faces' vertex sets to match Link's original vertex sets names, then go ahead and delete the face objects from the Mdl0.
If you can't vertex: Tough luck.
as for pac-man, all that's left for him is to model one more mouth expression, model tongue, modify open smile mouth, slight eye edit, make new eyes for other expressions, and texture and map. will take a day or two to finish when I start back on him. for those that like to see progress here you go
sorry for the lack of activity, been busy. anyway I have some progress for pac-man:
I decided to custom model his 3ds/wii u look. It will have better expressions to use over sonic, a better rig, and some other stuff.
also for those interested have an album for ryu hayabusa progress. these are the costumes that will be imported. they are already matched up to marth skeleton, just needs to be optimized and rigged after correcting the error on 2 of the costumes
We were gonna use it for PM, but we went with a different suit instead... I dunno. Mine has a different gun. Do you want it for recolors n stuff? Or should I just release it myself?
recolors and stuff, no. I wasn't going to do recolors for mine either, was going to have it as an alt. you did what I was gonna do minus the gun, didn't think of making a new gun. it's looks like it already has specs and I am pretty sure you are gonna add glow to it.
if I do anything, it would be to change the gun model back, not that the new gun model is bad. it's just that it's the gun model that was used on the suit originally. so unless you guys want the arm cannon that came with the powersuit, I am going to drop that project.
As for other progress, there is none. link's face, hands, and pouches are black, so I have been trying to figure that out. that's the reason why I haven't gotten to releasing pac-man, too busy messing with link.
I think thats the best option , but his arms look fine to me, imo Btw i havent looked at this thread before, everything looks awesome. *subscribes*

pac-man will be up tomorrow after I finish my homework. I just have to test everything and try one last time to give him some materials.
I managed to give link some new expressions with working eyelids. it's not as good as before, the verts mysteriously increased for two of the different faces and I got lazy when I had to create them a second time.
all he needs now is: rig fix on skirt/chainmail, and materials and shaders. I still have the bomb, bows, clawshot, slingshot, and other stuff, so those will be uploaded with him as well.
I cannot edit pac-man's arm length. so he will have long arms, when I figure out how to do bone edits I will come back to him and make them shorter. may just release what I have for him and move on. then edit based on any feedback that was given.
for anyone that cares there are 4 characters that are getting edits:
- ryu hayabusa: better rig, 4 new costumes(6 total), specs, metal, and fs eyes
- skyloft link: fixed arm rig, expressions, fs eyes, and items to replace brawl items
- other m zss: expressions, vertexed head and body similar to brawl, better replacement gun, fs eyes, and metal
It was mainly toward the onset of the project, when people were still submitting "DLC" material. One time I did something similar, Shun One actually told me once that he actually "appreciated the nod". I personally love to see when people use my work, it's incredibly flattering.
But again, I've already apologized and it won't be an issue; so perhaps we can move on. I've even deleted the post. :/
They did DLC for the smash 3 project, it belongs here. a few extra costumes for those that may want it, not a costume from a project they are working on.
almost done t-posing power suit samus brawl trophy. just have to fix the rubber connecting parts for the elbows, and then I gotta straighten out the hand.
just saw the updated OP. YES, finish power suit samus! im collecting the more iconic suits. we have excellent varia, light, dark, PED, and gravity suits, as well as an upcoming fusion suit for Project M. we just need an amazing Power Suit Samus to be golden.

I'm pretty sure there's a T-posed Power Suit model ripped straight from Prime floating around on the internet somewhere, it'd probably save you a lot of trouble.
i couldn't find one. that's the only reason why I am t-posing and rigging the brawl trophy. probably didn't search hard enough but I got tired of the wiki crap that kept coming up so I stopped searching after awhile.
Why not take Brawl Link's eyes, and throw them on the model?
I didn't mean the eyes, I actually meant the area around the eyes on the face. SS link face has two part and then the eyes. brawl has the face as one model and then the eyes. the face eye part needs transparency and uses different textures for blinking and stuff. I suck at explain so pic below

as for uploading, sometime during next week but after Tuesday. not sure if it will be day or night.
as for link, I got the expressions to halfway work. the eyes don't work because they are textured on and not modeled. UVs are involved but because I have to delete the objects for the expressions to work, the UVs are destroyed. I tried to make it work because I was too lazy and didn't feel like modeling it. it looks like it's not going to work unless I do model it.

he is pretty much done, just need to get the expressions done, add materials, and make dozens of models with different combinations for sword/shields.
his arms look...odd. i know its because sonic has odd arms. but they look weirder
that's because his arms are longer than they should be. GBC told me about that but I was working on something else and forgot to make them shorter when I got back to pac-man. I will see if I can import him back into max and edit them without having to redo the bone edits.
I am still trying to learn how to do bone edits and don't want to keep bothering snoopy about it. so they may or may not change.

still working on the ouch face just gotta vertex the mouth to complete it. hopefully I can use all of them. the eyes need different textures than the face so I am gonna see if I can figure something out. I have a few ideas but I am not sure if they will work, one will also raise the file size by a lot. if i can't figure it out then there will only be two expressions used: normal and talk because they use the same eye textures.
I decided to keep him strictly SS, so I removed the new hair and buckle.
as for progress, pac-man is almost done, just working on recolors. all of the glitches are gone now and the rig is ok I guess. my dolphin is slow so I am not sure how it looks in a faster pace game. either way sonic animations doesn't help.
also doing some texture edits for samus, redid all of the bold thick lines from the original other m textures and made them sharper. touched up on the morphball texture as well, I am not too good with texturing so it doesn't look great close up but it's looks good in game.
after the texture edits are done accurate smash 4 recolors will be made. I am also looking into some stuff to fix like the hair problem for the see through visor ver. if anyone found something that they wish to point out, let me know.
