for some reason, this kirbu reminds me alot of melee's kirby
melee and dreamland are more colorful then brawl, color are a bit different from each other though. I also plan to import most if not all of the Kirby hats from the game.
I am thinking of replacing the character copy abilities or see if anyone would be interested in psa'ing them or something. believe there is a ability for all characters, may have clones. still not sure if I will do this though.
Is there a possibility you'll release two versions of the Wii U Samus? I don't exactly agree with Nanobuds on the texture looking bad, BUT I do think the one shown off in the video was much nicer, personally. Looked like actual metal, and I really liked the green neon lighting given on her suit lines. Personally, I feel like Smash could use some more characters with light sources and such.
Basically, I was thinking of one version, the one that you're working towards (which is more like Smash 4 Samus), and another with the neon green lines and other metal texture (which is kinda custom and interesting in its own right).
the one in the video and the one we are using for smash 4 are two different models. the other model used in the video is the one in the other m pack. also all of the models in the other m pack will be able to use the smash 4 samus textures. textures for all suits are the same with minor edits that doesn't change anything. except for the power suit.
as for a version with the textures in the video, I believe I can make those textures again and add the smash 4 perforated metal and some detail.
as for ??? there will be two versions, a brawl version and a ??? version. brawl version will come later. almost done with the model work and mapping. the way the textures are set up may look crappy but that's because I don't care and it still looks great on the model. pics will come soon, along with a thread title change replacing the ??? so you will know who it is.
what you see in BB isn't what you will see in game. we edit textures base on what we see in game, haven't changed and we don't know if it will change because of model issues.
also would or do anyone want dreamland Kirby? had him done for a long time just forgot about him til now.
all it is, is the textures from dreamland over brawl Kirby. the models were pretty much the same so I saw no reason to do any edits that. the textures were adjusted so that the placement of the eyes was the same as brawl's. would have did the same for meta knight and dedede but they aren't like Kirby. if done they will have to be actually imports.
he also have all expression textures and fs eyes
if nobody is interested then I will just keep to myself I guess.

still trying to work out the samus model problem. also have something else that I am collabing on. will revealed soon I believe. been working on modeling for awhile. now I just gotta do some mapping and simple texturing, then the textures will be touched up, and then I can start rigging. will have some previews before the rigging I believe. then some more throughout rigging process.

try importing the dae straight from max into brawlbox .68b. then export the shader0 from that model to your desktop. import the dae straight from max into brawlbox 71. replace the shader0 of that model with the one you exported from brawlbox 68b.
this is if you used brawlbox .71 and got this problem.
I do what gravity said when I have to rig characters with legs like that. then use wireframe to separate parts that are still messed up or has verts that are very close and difficult to separate.
Being honest, that worried me at first as well. The video preview looked perfect to me as well. But, good to know it's just a step in the process.

Meant to ask: does this Other M ZSS or the Other M/Wii U Samus edit any bones, IE effect gameplay and/or desync wifi?

the only gameplay issue that should come from anyone of my stuff is lag, that's if I try and do a quick release because of my schedule. if I do that it should be minimum lag unless it's a very high poly model because I always optimizing everything in max unless it is low poly like brawl. then there is the tristripper too. I don't and won't do anything to desync wifi on purpose, anything that does will be an accident.

Yo, ZSS looks nice, great job on her. As for "Wii U" Samus... I have to say it, that texture looks... bad. Like, what is it trying to emulate? It looks way too bright and off-balance, while the actual Wii U texture is much more soft and metallic. The texture you had before looked perfect, what happened to that one?

as for wii u samus it's the spec I added, textures are the same and haven't changed. the edits to the textures I mentioned are going to be done to the specs. texture edits to the suit will be adding perforated metals to a few more areas. may make edits to saturation of the textures if the spec edits doesn't help.

sorry it took so long, I was doing some art stuff. I took a picture I drew a few year ago, scanned, and colored it. then I remember about zss and started getting her stuff ready.
also have a in game working smash 4 samus
just gotta do some texture edits and finish that cannon rigging/animation.
-did some homework -doing homework -did other m zss recolors and going to send out for CSPs, then release. (may release and let csps be uploaded later) -working on smash 4 samus, having problems getting it imported with optimization (may have found solution) -setting up stuff for brawl on laptop for progress and testing when I am not at home (just gotta rip brawl iso again) -practice custom modeling (starting small)
I for one would like to see Young Samus. I don't think anyone has done that yet, plus there's a few Other M Zero Suits that are pretty good, especially one that was recently released. So I think a Young Samus would be a good idea, personally.
Also, I'm waiting patiently (with great anticipation) for your Wii U Samus!
I say yes to the Young ZSS, but I also think Wii U/Other M Samus should be finished first. Just my opinion, though; others may feel differently.
smash 4 samus will be finished first or other m zss. then I will probably do young samus and young zss because the other m pac has three costumes. young zss shouldn't take too long, just using the head from young samus and the body of zss. after that custom make the accessory thing and edit textures.
If you are taking requests right now, would you take something small? Like adding a small object to an already working model?
no requests right now, should be able to do some soon though. just gotta get caught up on my college work and then I will work on some of the request and projects I have in the OP. after that I will be open for some requests.

I keep watching your video, and goodness I can't wait to see how Gravity Suit and others are going to turn out with this. The original texture is just so dang GORGEOUS; it adds a lot more color and professionalism from the previous Other M model, for one. The effects look spot on, too. Those green lines on her suit wouldn't happen to have light sources, would they? They look like they could very faintly be.

Also, I don't know if it matters, but I voted for the Young ZSS option in the poll and somehow didn't see the option to continue the Other M Model pack. So, take one vote from the former, add one to the latter?

also sometime after other m zss and young samus release I will do some merging, texturing, and build a custom whatever it's called to make young zss.

that true other m zss was not done by me. that was a vertexed done by someone else, update to include the holster from other m (something I asked someone credited to do, I asked them to import the model and they were having problems and just added the holster to the vertex instead) and update textures by whoever released it.
the vertex is good but I wanted the actual model. that's why the other m zss I am doing is an actual model import of the model from the game which I will release very soon. or not since the one that was just submitted looks good.
Would you happen to want/need someone to do recolors of your upcoming Other M Samus? I might be able to, and am definitely interested if you need someone to relieve the workload.
thanks for the offer but that won't be necessary, I am working with a few people who I haven't mentioned so nothing is really needed. I just need to finish my college work so that I can make some progress and finish my parts.

- got bored and I did a dreamland Kirby retexture (it is finished). used actual textures from dreamland, didn't need to do vertexing or UV edits because the models are the similiar. will replace his hammer with dedede from the game, down b stones with the ones from the game, and import some copy ability from the game. thinking about putting them over the character copy abilities. pretty sure there is one for all characters, may have some clones though. also planning on doing a psa to replace the final smash with one of the super copy ability specials, may do more.
- added some stuff to the OP, still needs to be cleaned up. what I added was a list of characters I plan to import to replace the brawl model, it's the same character just a different game model. plan on having at least one for each character.
- smash 4 samus is done, just have to do some shader, material, texture, and gun animations.
