Any chance you can make a sword for both hands, for someone PSAing her since she's a righty, and for the standard Link? Plus dual sword would come in hand for that Link we talked about. :3
Well I don't think it's a problem to share what Nuke and I were talking about.
Samus has 12 Ext GFX. I would typically just hex lines off to remove certain ones to lower file size.
Nuke swapped Luigi's efls file over Samus, making Samus only have 5 for Luigi. This counted as removing 7 and dropped the file size just the same.
If you want to swap to simply remove all and don't plan on using the GFX models in a FitName.pac, Jigglypuff's EFLS is the best to swap, it only has 3 GFX.
If anyone wants, I can make a base empty efls file for use with just models and no character GFX.
Hmm but is it the same way I did it?... Did you hex or swap? PM me if you want to >.>...
Hexed out lines of the Ext. GFX. <.< That's all. If you look at CoN, he's missing a bunch of Ext. GFX's in his .efls. That was so he would only spawn the models, and not the separate graphics assigned to the Ext. GFX ID.
Ive found a very good way to drop a characters file size down greatly.... Its only good for Custom characters.. If you wanna start from scratch that is... For example Ive been able to drop Samus's file size down to 219KB's from the original 253KB's... All thanks to your swapping method .... Thanks Dingo...
P.S. Why isnt this thread in a sticky?
Because most tut threads aren't, and nobody pays much attention (visibly) to any of my tutorials.
And I knew about the file size dropping with CoN Naruto. Deleted GFX so his filesize dropped a lot. I just never said anything.
Oh,is drag and drop rotation annoying and do you hate it? I advise you not to use Modset.
Aside from the constant random 360 and 720 rotation spikes I got that made me spend 4 times as long on something simple from me obviously doing something wrong, I love it. xP
Not to my preference with the interpolation. The rotation spikes could be avoided. The interpolation sucks more then anything at times. Any chance of this modset without the interpolation?
Drag and Drop Translation = Stage Hacker Preference Drag and Drop Rotation = Animation Hacker Preference
Stage hackers would prefer drag and drop for translations. That's why it would be suggested. Though not anywhere as annoying as bone rotation for animations, I'm sure it would make stage hackers quite a bit happier.
I'm saying that based on the fact that I hate the draggable bones and interpolation. Makes character animation not worth doing for me.
If the first and 2nd patch don't work, then you have to keep patching until it hopefully works. People have had to patch things 16-30 times before. Some things like Marth's sword handle should be vertexed the old way.
Hi dingo, How did you get another shoulder pad on dartz for ike? Im making a replica of guts over ike and the fact of only one shoulder pad drives me nuts XD
I made the right shoulder pad out of his shoulder and his scarf.
The next thing I'm making is a stage to replicate this area of Legend Of Dragoon.
After swapping the animation and moving the bones by dragging slightly, interpolation kicked in on top of rotations spiking like 720%.
I guess I just suck with this since now I have to fix and redo everything in .62b to avoid all the problems ._.
I'll stick to just swapping and fixing with .62b. I'd rather not chance things doing that and spending way more time with three steps (swap & fix translation, adjust rotations, go over everything done to make sure it works right) and just stick to swapping and fixing translation with some minor tweaks for legs on ground level. Interpolation becomes a big problem for characters at random times anyway.
