You know, I'm gonna be that guy. Mainly cause no one else ever seems to ask this.

Exactly when do you plan on being finished with these and stopping? XD

Seriously, it's like just when a whole set seems like it's going to be finished, full and complete, you end up switching things up yet again and starting all over again and again and again. It gets kinda tedious to update every single time, hoping that this'll be the definitive  and finalized version of the CSP pack only for it all to start over again. ¦D

I love the work you put into these, but I'm starting to see no end for them in sight so I had to ask to sate my curiosity. Is there a finish line for this with the main characters/CSPs at the least? o.o
I won't speak for SJS, but this question does seem equivalent to asking an artist when they plan to stop drawing.

Thanks, I feel like I finally achieved that "powerful" look that the previous poses failed to capture.

Just wish I could have fit more of the render in the CSP.

I appreciate feedback, I'll give it a try for alternative textures, one with normal blonde hair and more purple on her dress with full gray gloves and colorful jewels on her crown, and one with black hair more blue on her dress 'n stuff and the black gloves with white palms, someone said something about it, and I thought it was an amazing idea, also the one with gray gloves will have fingerless gloves, just for the lulz
I think gray gloves with white palms would be fine, but the direct black/white just doesn't mesh well as it is now. That's my opinion, though. Have fun. (:

Hello. Pardon the intrusion. I'm quietly watching this thread as the whole Mirage theme is working its way into the vault, and I like what's going on here.


Ok I'm back, I'm sorry I took so long, now I just need someone to help me fix the gloves colors, the dress' details and add the M on it so it looks cool 'cause I just can't get it right, What do you guys think of it now ? I really hope I'm doing it right
So, if anyone helps me get the details right, I'll be very happy and hopefully I will release it today!
I love that dress. The patterns show up beautifully.

But from the waist up, the contrasting colors look really gaudy. The white could probably work if it wasn't right next to black so much. Perhaps the black on the blouse and the gloves could be a lighter grey or purple? I'm not quite sure what will work, but the harsh black/white contrast above the beautifully blended dress doesn't seem to work well together, in my opinion.

Also perhaps have that central jewel on her crown stand out more with a lighter color. It kinda just fades into the metal there and doesn't catch the eye like jewelry, well, should.

I'm rather indifferent on the hair, though if you made the hair black, you could work lighter colors into the bust while having something to tie in the the black of the dress's hip fabric.


It's almost there, though. Keep it up.

I'll rather miss the fancy Einherjar images, but I will agree they more accurately represent the portraits now.

I want to learn how to do that sexy-ass lighting. I'm dying to learn how to make dem high quality CSPs.
Same here. I see what you did there ...
Photoshop, mostly. I haven't found a way to get very powerful lighting in Brawlbox, so I add a few layers in PS to tweak the contrast and color balance a tad to simulate an actual lit environment. I also paint over it with a layer of highlights and shadows, which is why I haven't done many imports (since the custom-painted lighting would have to be redone).
That explanation totally makes my topic title relevant now.


That said, your Touhou imports may take a few updates, Kyouma. (;

Request info's in the OP, but here it is again for quick reference:

Request Info:
You may make requests if you wish. Or not. However, should you do so, Kage Ryu may or may not take it immediately, depending on the request, but there is a method to the madness. Here's a rough gauge of how quickly Kage Ryu may get around to the request:

Next Update: A simple texture hack with little to no vertexing of a character that will be done next.
Soon: A simple texture hack with little to no vertexing of a character I have already done.
Later: A heavy vertexing or import of a character I have already done that still fits a previously done pose.
Eventually: A character I have not done or a vertex/import of that would require a new pose and new lighting.


In short, feel free to make a request, though when I get around to it depends on whether I've already posed and/or Photoshopped the character already.

Well, Falcon was originally slated to be done next, but the King of Evil is pretty pushy. I decided to listen and not get myself Warlock Punched.
