Ooohhhh... Looks pretty good! Maybe you should put the left hand closer to the mouth... Other than that, Quality =
Thank you. I think it might be the angle that makes it look kinda weird, since it's that whole index-finger-under-the-nose type of thing I was going for (seen in his Mario & Luigi artwork). I'm going to leave it be, since the highlights and shadows are drawn by hand and I'd like to avoid drawing them again if I don't need to.
In other news, I have updated the thread with more Ness CSPs! I have also determined who my next victim shall be...
Thank you much for your responses! I have gotten rid of the report and sent the user a polite PM to inform them of how Mr. G-Dubs's colors work. I shall keep this in mind for future reports. (:
Hello, I notice the report email I had sent to me says to simply fix faulty reports simply by editing the submission, but I also see a lot of faulty reports submitted here as well. I am uncertain as to which I should do, so for now I'll go with the latter:
^True^ I'm looking forward to see what you'll do to your "next victim"
Thanks much. ^^
The Man in Green has arrived, as prophesied!
Not sure who I'm doing next. Still experimenting with the style, so I'm like to be sticking with characters that don't have much in the way of alpha textures. If you have any critique/feedback, it would be welcome. (:
Good morrow! Welcome to this humble little corner of the forums.
Kage Ryu has taken a liking to making these CSP images as of late. Custom poses, plus a little Photoshop for lighting emphasis. Let us see if that will become a thing. Updates may or may not be consistent and/or frequent.
Request Info:
You may make requests if you wish. Or not. However, should you do so, Kage Ryu may or may not take it immediately, depending on the request, but there is a method to the madness. Here's a rough gauge of how quickly Kage Ryu may get around to the request:
Next Update: A simple texture hack with little to no vertexing of a character that will be done next. Soon: A simple texture hack with little to no vertexing of a character I have already done. Later: A heavy vertexing or import of a character I have already done that still fits a previously done pose. Eventually: A character I have not done or a vertex/import of that would require a new pose and new lighting.
NEWS Kage Ryu currently presents: The King of Evil has arrived, and makes no effort to hide his enormous power. Scarier still, this isn't the end of his reign!
I don't think Brawl style would ruin it, but I also don't think that's quite Brawl styled there. 1. That texture is far too small for the type of detail you were attempting—it looks more like the thick weave you would see on a knitted scarf rather than standard cotton cloth. A larger texture size would allow the texture to be a bit more subtle. 2. Brawl's textures rely heavily on something called ambient occlusion. Ambient occlusion is basically putting shadows where they would appear in most lighting circumstances, such as in the folds and creases in cloth. (LJ basically said this, I just wanted to explain it a bit more.)
The desaturated look is also part of Brawl's style, yes, though personally I don't think that it's necessary to make something look good. Especially with a character such as Sunny Milk, who wears clothing as bright and cheerful as her personality.
I was thinking of a beautiful pose. He has one hand on his head and the other hand on his hip and/or buns. Very sassy. Sassydorf. Maybe I can Photoshop him winking with a sparkle or two coming from the wink. Which is not realistic, but it is very kawaii.
Just be sure to include the pink/white Ganondorf from Apple's King of Thieves set among those CSPs. Nothing is more beautiful.
Not likely. I don't want them to be an interference with the brawling.
Not even just behind the fighters and without platform collision, but still destructable, like the statues in Castle Siege or the pillars in Luigi's Mansion?
