and this is why people keep being asses, because other people reforce it by saying they did something good...
one question PSA wise: is it possible to just hide the HUD? if so, that FS could be somehow made by using 2D models...
Well there is a code that hides the battle portraits, but they are always hidden, so you could work with that, but then it would be just as if Deadpool is pulling out a picture of himself to attack with, which still sounds pretty funny.
He has to at least have a functioning Final Smash, regardless if it's Luigi's, a custom Final Smash, or basic coding to make the Final Smash properly not work. If there was no basic PSA coding for a Final Smash, then the PSA would either make the character freeze in place or crash the game.
Would it even be possible to have Luigi's at this point? Well in any case lets just let Sdoom do his thing.
Well lets get back on topic now, didnt mean to derail the topic lol, i just wanted to further understand Sdoom's opinion on the matter.
Also, Final Smashes are extras to the characters. How often do you use a final smash compared to the general attacks that you use to even break the smash ball. (Assuming you play with them.)
Therefore, they are not mandatory for characters to seem "full" compared to others.
I understand, i just wouldnt like to see people use that as an excuse to not make a final smash for a character.
No not really, mainly because I seldom play with Smash Balls. They're painfully imbalanced and any spectacle of them wears off quickly imo.
Understandable, so you dont like them very much huh?
Well i feel the same way sometimes, but occasionally i like to play with the Smash Ball (as well as other items) on low at least, since if other items are set, the smash ball rarely appears, so its a fun factor if you can even see one and collect it.
When you say "imbalanced" do you mean they kill too quickly, or they just give an unfair advantage, cuz there are quite a few final smashes made that dont kill the opponent, or dont even damage the opponent (like transformations). With your description of Bomberman's final smash, im sure you could design it in such a way that you'd need skill for it to actually be useful.
Work on your other projects first though, i agree with you on the fact that final smashes should be done last.
Considering the Final Smash is an ITEM, no character is useless without one. Final Smashes are icing on the cake, not a fundamental part of a moveset. Anyone that denies this is wrong.
Yeah but for a character not to have one makes them seem like less of a character, you know what i mean? PSAs are more interesting if they do have one, not rushing you or anything, but i would love to see Bomberman's sometime (if you ever get around to it).
I have another theory, how about the authors of hacks start calling their hacks the "Authentic" or "Original" hacks whenever a copy appears. If people are more willing to download the "real" hack, then that will discourage those who submit stuff without actually changing anything in the hacks. I mean, why upload stuff if its not gonna get any downloads right?
The authors could also call them "Official"
It could be a way to divert people away from the copied stuff, and download the stuff from the actual people who make their own hacks.
Edit: just realized that the people who upload copied stuff can do this too , now if only there were some way to get official recognition for hacks (like a tag of sorts), and copied stuff couldnt.
If i may add my two cents, I believe the plagarism rule should include both exact copies of others hacks, AND ANY edits made to it. Simply put, if users want to make changes to something, they are free to do so, but uploading it, should only be tolerable if they ask the original creator. If the creator says no, then it should be considered plagarism. If the creator doesnt answer, then that should be taken as a "no" as well.
You guys really need to have a set rule, that everybody can agree on. I know its difficult, but it certainly would make your lives here easier.
You guys should also have a strict 3 strike policy, and let all users know that if they violate the rules, their privileges can be taken away for however long the mods see fit/however long the rule states.
This is not regarding packs, i dunno what to say about those, as getting permission for all the stuff you used, cant possibly be easy.
Whatever floats your boat man. It's a shame we can only have 6 colours. I'd like to have more. There can be more than one person working on the aforementioned recolours.
I actually started making that animation. I've done 70 frames so far
....
Out of 1152.....
You're only limited to 6 colors at a time, but you can make many recolors for this, and have the people choose which colors they want to use, it would make this more versatile-ish.
Alright, but, let's say I didn't like lucas. I wouldn't need an rel file at all to port Scott over Lucas, or I'd need one for Lucas?
No you dont, if you download the Scott Pilgrim psa for Lucas, all you have to do is put the .pacs and such in his folder. Lucas is the character that Scott was made for, so there are no .rel files needed.
