1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: LXP Young Link in vPM 3.6 issues on: March 11, 2017, 03:25:30 AM
That'd probably explain why he freezes every time he and Link are in the same match. Is there any way to fix that?

Got him to work. It was just the character ID in the module. Once I changed that to Toon Link's, everything worked. Well, almost everything. He plays perfectly fine, unless he goes up against Link, then everything freezes. Do you know what to do about that? Or is that just something that I'll have to live with?

Thanks for replying.

A .rel issue makes sense; I'll test out your suggestion.

Also, I was pretty sure that the LXP Young Link was just a heavily edited version of CaliburTek's Young Link PSA, which was based off of the Project Sacred: Young Link PSA; both of which were over Toon Link. That being said, I haven't used any Young Link mods over Link, so I could be wrong about my assumption.

So I did exactly what you said, but I got a freeze immediately after choosing the stage. You said that I'd get one if I was using a build with BEX in it, but I'm not. Like it says in the title, I'm using a normal vPM 3.6. Are you positive that he uses Link as a base and not Toon Link? Cuz' that's the only thing that I can think of.

As for the SFX, I'm not sure where to even begin with that.

Simple process: I copied the files out of the "YoungLink" folder in Smash Bros. Legacy XP Beta and pasted them into the "toonlink" folder on my SD card. I then renamed all the files accordingly (ie: FitYoungLink.pac -> FitToonLink.pac) and proceeded to test it out.

Surprisingly, most everything worked perfectly fine. Everything but the hookshot, pummeling, and throwing. I can only grab if I'm really close to someone (the hookshot doesn't extend his reach at all; doesn't even show up, actually), but I can't pummel or throw them. Also, I can't make a tether recovery since the hookshot doesn't come out.

Does anyone know what's wrong? Is there a code that I can put into the .gct? If so, what? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Minor issue: SFX aren't working at all either. I can live with that, but it'd be nice to have.

If anyone knows about this, please tell me: Where are Project M's stock image files? (You know, the images that show how many lives you have left in a match. I'm modding the game with costumes but cannot locate stock image files.)
"X:\projectm\pf\info2\info.pac" or "X:\projectm\pf\menu\common\StockFaceTex.brres". I don't remember which is the one for in-game stocks. Also, the stock icons in "X:\projectm\pf\stage\melee\STGRESULT.pac" are the ones on the results screen.
Hope that helps!

One more thing. Right now i'm using an SD card and i'm trying to use a Shulk PSA thats modded over Ike, but i have no idea where to put the files and which ones to put on my SD card. I downloaded the file for the PSA and looked at the files inside, but IDK where to go from here, and i don't want to try putting it in my SD card without knowing where it should go. Can someone help?

Here's the hack in question BTW: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=203267
Everything in the "Fighter" folder goes into the "fighter" folder on your SD card. More specifically "X:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/ike/".
The easiest way to install it would be to copy the "Ike" folder from the archive and paste it in the "fighter" folder on your SD card.

There are also SFX that are included with this hack which may be needed to ensure it doesn't crash. (Some need it, some don't. idk It's not my area. I do mainly visuals.) Unless you're using Project: M, I'm not too sure on how to install them, but I would try it out without the SFX to see if it works anyways.
If you're really desperate for the SFX, there's a ton of tutorials on here, YouTube, and Smashboards that take nothing more than a quick Google search.

Everything else in the .zip are just visuals which are not required to make the hack work. But those are easy enough to install anyways.

Hope that helps!

Excuse me, i'd really appreciate it if someone could help me on this. I'm on Step 3: Downloading and Using Brawl Hacks. I've gotten the File Patch and Unrestricted Camera codes downloaded onto my SD Card via the Code Manager, but i'm a bit confused here. On Step 3, it gives me the names for the Characters and Stages. Does the guide want me to make mini sub sections in my SD card's Private folder for all of these things? Just curious if i've got the right idea on this.

Also, another question, in Step 4, it gives me a Mediafire link for all of Brawl's Original Files, but when i try to look at those files, Mediafire says it's not my session and i can't access the files, even when i'm logged in and try to access those files. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE IS ANOTHER PLACE I COULD FIND THOSE FILES, PLEASE? : ( I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with these two questions.

One last question, since i'm using the Wii Mode on Wii U for Brawl hacking, do i need to worry about downgrading the Wii portion of my Wii U, or is that ok and not something that i have to worry about?
Codes go in "X:\codes\"
You only have to create separate character and stage folders (named accordingly) if you're planning on modifying the corresponding character/stage.

Here's the correct link for the original Brawl files: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4vhNdf69qaSZ0N0MnBjOXFYMU0#

Concerning the Wii U question, I don't really know since that's not how i do it, but from what i've heard, you should just treat it like the latest Wii version (4.3).

should be the same place as other normal stages (pf/stage/melee)
Ok. That's what I thought. I'll test it out sometime and let you know if there's any problems.

This has probably already been asked, but where do hacks for the Results Screen (STGRESULT.pac) go?
12  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Harrier FS for Snake Released on: April 04, 2015, 03:31:29 PM
if he was rigged with a simple sekeleton and imported into brawl i could make the mc texture alone having it and using it yes, but you would need a willing importer to get a low filesize import of it becuase it needs to fit on snake after all.
I don't know any importers, but if you find somebody I could probably find a model for you to use.
13  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Harrier FS for Snake Released on: April 04, 2015, 02:42:02 PM
i can only work with models imported into brawl already, i cant import models myself, all models i used were already imported in brawl i didnt import any of them.
So if someone (not me. I'm not an importer.) were to get a model and import it into Brawl, could you work with it?

Wolf Wolfen FS V1.1 Released
Fixed wolf FS trigering when doing Down special

Go to the submission to redownload the update everyone.
Thanks for fixing Wolf's FS. I don't know if you're taking requests, but I was wondering, is it possible for you to give Snake a FS using a Mantis from Halo 4? Specifically for the Master Chief models? If you can't, that's fine. I just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Down-B activates Wolf's FS upon contact with anything (characters, ground, etc.). This makes him really OP as he can use it anytime he wants to. Please fix.
