1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: libertyernie: now Stage Manager lets you play/change songs (Jan. 22) on: February 07, 2014, 08:51:36 PM
I've got a list in the source code here: https://github.com/libertyernie/BrawlManagers/blob/master/BrawlManagerLib/Songs/SongIDMap.cs
The order is: default name, BRSTM filename, song ID, then position in the info.pac titles list.
I'll add Mewtwo and Roy into the MiscData editor soon.

EDIT: Updated the MiscData editor. I figured if I didn't do it now, I would forget Wink

Awesome! Thank you Cheesy

Gee, I'm not sure about the character IDs either! But if/when I find out, I can add them.

ah~ Getting back on this, found the IDs for Project M's Roy and Mewtwo, among other things.

32: Roy
33: Mewtwo
34-3d: Mario

Another question... how do you figure out the song IDs? SSBM Final Destination tune is 2817, according to your program for example.

It's crashed right before the CSS every time and now it won't even launch PM. What am I doing wrong?

This sounds like what happened to me just the other day... and it's because I exceeded the size limit! Is your sc_selcharacter.pac file over 3.79MB? If it is, you'll need to drop the quality of *all* your CSPs to save some space.

When you've opened your common5 in BrawlBox, right-click a CSP, "re-encode", and change any CSP that is of format CI8 to CMPR. The quality of the portrait drops, but so does its size. If you have Project M's common5, many of the CSPs should already be the lower-quality CMPR... but there are a few characters that may need to be converted (I'm pretty sure Ike, Olimar and ROB were some).

By the by, when you use the cBliss Tool on your GCT for the first time, make sure to let it sit for a good minute or three. It can take a little while to write in what it needs to, at least it takes several minutes for mine to complete.

Just to clarify, if i have a costume in FitDedede10 (supposed to be the red costume replacement) does this mean i should NOT have one in FitDedede01?

Correct, it's unnecessary with the cBliss Tool. I have a costume on FitDedede10 and nothing on FitDedede01. Same goes for any other chars that skip numbers (Diddy, Bowser, Giga Bowser, Lucario, etc.)

@Mewtwo2000, do you update the tool with every Project M update? Or should the tool be able to detect what version of PM it is and update the codeset appropriately? Just making sure, since PM 3.02 is out and I'm not sure whether to wait for a cBliss Tool update or not.
5  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: January 06, 2014, 05:45:49 PM
PS: Updated the tool, when used on a fresh projectm gct, the fitdiddy01 won't be used, and the fitdiddy10 will be needed. Using the tool on a gct with the codes already on it will change nothing.

Just to be sure... is the cBliss version in the op outdated? Looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. You mentioned updating it, so I did a little bit of searching and stumbled on this you made: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/i6jo89480via4/cBliss_Tool

Wasn't aware there were cBliss updates going on outside this topic, pardon my ignorance~

Curious, is the tutorial in the op for PM 2.6 still applicable to PM 3.0? I figured there'd probably be some code changes, given the clone engine & additional costumes apparently already utilizing cBliss. Tried something someone had uploaded on the PM subreddit, but a lot of the last costumes for characters freeze (Link's 10th, Toon Link's 10th, Lucario's 10th, two of Dedede's, etc.).

libertyernie, would it somehow be possible to include Mewtwo and Roy to the MiscData Editor for Project M? Haven't the faintest idea where those character IDs come from... At least so they could be added to some Event Matches. (Specifically, trying to recreate Event Match 51 for both 1P and 2P, since Giga Bowser now has hurt animations.)

Thanks Smiley

How did y'all get the announcer SFX for Roy and Mewtwo on the character selection screen?

It sounds as if they're from the announcer himself...

Just going by memory and rumors, but I believe the SSBB announcer himself did make those. He sent several name-calling clips to the community after they had gathered a list of favorites they wanted to hear him say. I think there's a video on YT with it...
Yeah...

Brawl Announcer Does Some Additional Voicing

Although Riivo is no longer officially supported, you can get it to work with Riivo, but it WILL require quite a bit of extra work and XML editing.

I would almost~ try this method, as Riivolution is compatible with my SD Card. The one thing that puzzles me is how I'd assign the new costumes, Roy, and Mewtwo to any on-disc files or folders. I figure I just cannot name non-existent directories after them and expect it to work.

Why is there a caution sign over some characters' portraits?

There's a changelog floating around... Basically, if you use those costumes in 3~4 player matches, it can cause some noticeable lag. They'll fix this up in the future, but for now there's not much they can do. I think it was caused by the model importer they use.
11  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: [Official] Project M discussion: 3.0 RELEASED!! on: December 09, 2013, 06:58:52 PM
Ahh, the lack of Riivolution might be a problem. Tried the Gecko method in the past but it wouldn't work for me either, even though Gecko works just fine for other games... Probably was doing something stupid on my end, guess I'll find out in about an hour. I seriously cannot wait to try this update.

Does anybody plan on importing Dr. Mario (Melee) to use over the Brawl Dr. Mario in Project M?

I could understand regular Mario, he always looks so angry. Guy needs to stop being so salty and enjoy Smashing. But what's wrong with PM Doc? He's sporting that fancy tie!

my heath can't take it anymore...

Why, all your shrubs are dying? ahaha
ehh

Kind of glad they didn't go for the easy way out and make a Galacta Knight alt, already quite a few of those. Love seeing concept art for existing characters, so going to enjoy playing as Butterfree Knight.

Old concept artwork of Meta Knight as an alt? Now THAT is obscure!

Too bad they didn't make the eyes white, but it still looks really great.
