2  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / What happened to all the Marth rel ports? on: June 24, 2016, 07:13:19 PM
I've been inactive for a few yrs now, due to college and finally got a break. Went to DL a Marth over Diddy rel I've had my eyes on, and saw a good bit of Marth rels were gone. What happened to all of them? 0__0 I remember there was a Marth over Wario one(thank goodness I still have mine!) and a Diddy one. Now all that's left is a Marth over Rob rel. Um can someone please tell me what happened? Thanks!

I agree! I also think it should include some pics on the definition page if some terms are really hard to understand without pictures. I'm a visual learner and its difficult for me to understand some things without being able to see it.

If you're friend has 4.3 u version wii then it's reeeeally easy.  Also there is what I would like to call a "starter pack" on this guy's YouTube video. Everything works great! Don't even need to use Code Manager. Go to YouTube and type in: how to hack/ mod super smash bros. brawl. The video's picture has a wavy looking wall on it. This video is really simple. This how I hacked my wii cause I'm pretty noobish at computers too... l_l'

If you're friends wii is a 4.3 U then he's good to go. If you're friend does have a wii 4.3 U, then go to YouTube and type in: how to hack any wii 4.3 part 1. Good luck with part 2. I tried doing part 2 on my brother's wii and it kept rejecting the priiloader for some reason... Also if you guys are going to use this tutorial, then follow it completely and don't assume you know something and go ahead of the video. I did this and screwed up so badly I had start from the beginning...

Have you tried renaming the rel into

FitFalco00.rel? I know it sounds silly, but I had a problem like this and It seemed to make it work o_O

Tried it. It's still freezing on the stage select screen.
7  Help & Tutorials / Help / How do I properly place this hack!? [solved] on: July 24, 2013, 08:59:45 PM
I'm so confused... I downloaded the Roy over falco hack by brawlist117 but there is more than the usual pcs and pac files...

http://www.mediafire.com/?bie1x5x5b26x5

Where do I put all these files? I've tried putting in just the fitmotion, pcs, pac, and leaving out the fit falco. I left the rel unchanged and put it in pf>module, Freezes up on stage select. I've tried saving it as .pair, still freezes, I've tried naming the rel ft_falco00.rel. still freezes. I'm so confused! Where do I place these files!? Can someone please help this idiot? *points to self* T_T
8  Help & Tutorials / Help / Is this zip broken? on: July 24, 2013, 05:58:47 PM
Okay my little brother wants to hack his wii and so he got an sd card but its SDHC... I read somewhere that riivolution works with SDHC but when I go to homebrew and launch it freezes on a black screen. (it isn't so frozen that i have to unplug it to shut it off, i can hold down the power button and it goes off.) This is the zip I'm trying to use: http://www.mediafire.com/?xdyrru3waydwjfp

I got it off of karateboy001's brawl tutorial on YouTube. I didn't change or remove any files, except for putting priiloader from my sd card into his apps, then putting his characters in the fighter folder.

So...is this zip broken?

Reduce the number of colours when importing the CSPs into the common5.

By number of colours do you mean colors like reducing my csps so that there isn't a csp for every color slot on a character or do you mean something more technical than that?

hmmm. strange. do u have fitcharacterentry.pac?

None of the hacks I downloaded came with that.

Post Merge: July 07, 2013, 11:28:15 PM
Okay did a test and found out its my common 5 csps. No idea how to shrink them down...I didn't make them. They came with the hacks. I checked the size of the csps and there is nothing abnormal about it. Can someone help me fix this so I can keep the csps?
12  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Hacking brawl, first time ever. Could use some help! on: July 07, 2013, 07:38:39 PM
Yes. They do. I don't if it matters but I saved them as a .pair.
13  Help & Tutorials / Help / Hacking brawl, first time ever. Could use some help! [solved] on: July 07, 2013, 06:52:52 PM
Okay I was partly successful. My hacks loaded without any problem in subspace emissary, however when I go to select group from the main menu I get a loud beep sound. I'm using GeckOs. I also have some csps that came with the hacks, but I have very, very, very, few. So it's not enough to freeze it.

This is my setup if it helps:

Root of sd:

Apps folder: Gecko1931-boot.elf, icon, meta
                  Priiloader-boot.dol, icon, META

bootmii: armboot.bin, bootmii, ppcboot.elf

Boot.elf

"[Official] Brawlbox Development: v0.68d Released" <-- Use v0.68d

Download all this:

Ok I downloaded the net.framework file. All that did was repair my current one. Downloaded latest brawl box. Still getting the red x.  So I tried brawl box 65, 68b, and I still got the red x... I was following a pmd model to brawl tutorial and have found out that it is impossible to get any custom made models into brawl box! So as long as this error exists I can't try out making hacks...
T_____T Can someone help me figure this out?

Post Merge: June 29, 2013, 11:19:40 AM
Okay so I've been looking around the forums in topics people have had the same problem as me. One of the possible problems was not enough disk space. My hard drive has 99.0 GB free and 574 GB used. Could it be a space issue? I thought 99.0 GB wasn't much space... Or is it a .NET Framework problem? I have .Net Framework 4 installed, and no other versions. Anyways, Here is the message I get:

Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

what works for me is viewing the imported models like cream over sonic, however the vertexes never show up... And to get them to show up I have go between the import and vertex models until the vertex shows up. However this takes a LOOOONG time. It would be nice if I could get it fixed so I don't have to fight with it... It looks like I'm going to have to continue battling brawl box T_T

Thank you for taking the time to try and help me. I appreciate it : )
