196  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: The Doctors New Creations! [26/03] Hazama Released! on: March 28, 2011, 04:16:41 PM
I guess i can go back to playing forum games and asking when somebody next vertex or stage is coming out

Hey how is Petey coming?

Haha.

He's coming along suprisingly well.
I can't do much on his head until this gets properly answered though.
197  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Olimar's helmet on: March 28, 2011, 01:21:42 PM
I looked through a lot of the popular Olimar vertex hacks and none of them use the helmet at all (bomberman included)

This Hack though, it is pretty much the height of "opaqueness" I could find Undecided
198  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Wifi Desync info? on: March 28, 2011, 01:11:02 PM
I've quoted and 'loosely' edited your info, Tcll. (Simply so I can link it all to one post in the OP... If you want me to change the wording or add to it, just ask Wink)

Not all mods will cause desync as long as they're allowed "compatibility"...
meaning they will not affect positioning of either char on the opponents wii

Animation edits might desync wifi if:
Animation length is not equal to the length of the original
Attack behaviors have been altered (better done through logic editing (PSA))
(?) Modified animations that deal with the opponent (Grabs/Throws etc.)

Azn
Bumping, still need to know if it can be done.
200  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Wifi Desync info? on: March 28, 2011, 07:51:35 AM
Ah, Thats a bit simpler for me to understand Tongue

So am I right in assuming that it is infact not one-slot size mods that cause desync, but rather the character being modded?

(I'm looking forward to Pachirisu btw Wink)
201  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: how do you make kirby's final smash eyes always show? on: March 28, 2011, 07:21:38 AM

I think he means he wants the FS eyes to show permanently so he can use them to make wings out of.

What you have to do is alter the bone index of his FS eye bone to match a bone that is already perma-visible (YRotN is most used). This has to be done in a Hex editor though.

I'll be back with a guide shortly
Couldn't find the guide I was after, so heres a written one using HxD Wink

--------------

Alright, first open up the file in Brawlbox and export the model.
Expand the subfolders and go to bones, you should be able to find one named 'bone_eyeyellow' or something like that.
On the info panel to the right, find the bone index and jot it down (but you could just remember it ofcourse)
Now find the "YRotN" bone and jot down the bone index for this one aswell.

Open up HxD and drag your MDL0 into it.
On the left hand side you can see the offset numbers. Click the part where it says "Offset (h)".
Now, scroll through until you get to the Offset for 'bone_eyeyellow.'

Ok, Usually if you look on the row directly below this one, you should see the bone index number somewhere (It's normally in the collumn before the one you started in)
Now all you have to do is change this number to the "YRotN" bone index number and save it.
Remember: This number is in Hex. So if the bone index is anything above 9, it will have to be converted to hex before you type it in.

...
So as long as animation edits are the same length and do not affect the original bone tree, they will be ok to use online? Undecided

That seems a bit odd to add to the list, considering you are the only one who has done this (as far as I know).

maybe you aught to have a character and stage section for this?
Ah, Nice idea Wink
203  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Wifi Desync info? on: March 27, 2011, 02:43:34 PM
I thought I'd start this thread because I'm never too sure what does and what doesn't cause online desync.

I'm going to list what people know here, for reference for other hackers.

What causes Wifi Desync?
Any Indicates exceptions. Click them for more info.

      204  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Olimar's helmet on: March 27, 2011, 09:19:07 AM
I tried matching up the material parameters for his helmet to the ones on his body and changed the texture to a block red colour... Still no luck Sad

I did manage to get it to look a bit less see-through, but it still isn't completely opaque.

      205  Help & Tutorials / Help / Olimar's helmet on: March 26, 2011, 08:30:05 PM
Just wondering if it's possible for Olimar's Helmet to be made opaque?
If it is, would anyone care to enlighten me before I start work on Petey Piranha's head?

That is one kool pose XD
I assume you did the same for Hazama?
      Yes I did.
I'm trying to see if I can animate Hazama's properly though Smiley

With your permission, may I use that animation to make a custom motionetc. to go with the Dissidia cloud moveset for my personal use?
Yeah, go ahead... If it's for your own use, then there isn't really any need to aks Laugh

      It isn't really a PSA...
It is just a custom pose I made for show.

Here is the MotionEtc. If you do want it though.
That Pose is currently replacing his down taunt.
      209  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Bone related question on: March 23, 2011, 01:36:38 PM
If you rename the bones they should no longer move. Most people just add "_null" to bones they want to disable.

deleting the bones will cause the game to crash.

      Articles mainly appear in Motionetc.pac's.
They are essentially a characters accessories/weapons/effects, Such as Link's bow and arrow or Mario's Fireball and so on.

I think there is a list of articles in the 'PSA & Animation' section somewhere.
