It's only BV that has trouble with it. Which is why I'm so stumped: all those tables are the same.

The database type didn't change. They all have UTF-8 collation. That was what they were on the last host, when special characters worked. When we got here, they already had that collation, but special characters didn't work. So I switched them to something else, then back. No dice. Made sure the MySQL connection in PHP was configured to use UTF-8. Nothing.

And now, I am done talking about special characters forever. I have occasionally made mention of a priority list. Special characters aren't even on it.

I presume you tried to disable and then re-enable?

When I say I don't know, I really don't know. I have exhausted every option.

Oh, OK, yeah. Collabs are excluded right now because the way they're programmed is hilariously bad. Like I can say to pic, "Hey, remember how you did collabs?" and we both just laugh.

Once I'm finished with BV, those'll be included.

It could until we moved to this host. Then something about the database changed, and now it doesn't. And I have no idea what that thing is, because the setting I changed last time this happened, on the last host, was already correctly set here. I've never been able to figure it out.

I noticed today that there's a report button at the bottom of the resources page.

This report button has never worked. Even if it had, it would have sent messages to Jack. And that, if we're being honest, would have accomplished little.

But it works now. And it messages me. So have at it whenever necessary.

I've held off on updating the BV rules until the BV staff settled everything, because I wanted to do all the changes at once instead of making several little ones. And they haven't done that. In fact, of the 9 current BV staff, 3 have voted in their current poll about .rel ports. They've all voted the same way, but that's still not even a simple majority.

I can make a few small amendments now, but they won't affect any of the hot-button issues, e.g. packs and .rels.
