But it does say something when SO MANY people say the same thing...
Like I said though... The issue should be left alone. Until perhaps CE progress has been made...
THEN you could make versions of Falco, and Ganondorf that differ from the Melee versions... Without getting rid of the Melee clone versions.
As I said before, they could be selected in a manner similar to Zero Suit Samus. Holding R button while selecting them... This would be sorta like some Mugen characters. When you hold start while selecting them, you get an alternate move set.
...But then again. Perhaps this is a terrible idea. Since it would need additional balance...
Someone is welcome to make a stage out of the Blade, but I'm not going to be the one who makes it. I'm not sure how well the Wi-Fi-safe Halberd mod would work, considering it would likely need to have the same physical structure for the playfield the entire time (and I imagine the decks don't match), though I'm just guessing.
On the subject of stages, I've uploaded a third version of my stage layout.
Hm... Yeah... I think I had a derp moment there... A Wifi safe version PROBABLY wouldn't work out...
But still. If someone makes the stage. It could be built from the Halberd's coding. Since that would let the ship attack every now and then... Which would work well for the Breaker Beam.
Though I'm not sure what would replace the claw attack, or the canon ball...
Eh, I don't know. Whoever takes up the stage can figure out that stuff.
the side b falls after each use atleast it was that way unless i took that code out of the final version? or maybe i forgot to put it in zss only?
I don't think so.
I'm pretty sure both versions fall a bit after air side B.
...Unless he used the OLD Beta version... Which honestly... MAYBE it would be a good idea to delete that off the BV. So people don't confuse it... For whatever reason with the final version.
I don't know if you'll be happy or annoyed to hear this, but I just updated Vivian's model. (In fact, it could take a while for the TMR server to start giving out the updated zip.) I increased the polygons in her torso a bit, and added an optional version with much smoother hair. I hope it's not too much of a hassle to update the models.
Also, I like the 2D version! Have you considered attempting to implement the paper shader version? I personally prefer the more detailed version, but it would be interesting to see.
Erm... Well, if he were to update the model with your updates... This means he would have to do the entire rig all over again... ._.
Blue Ness has a new hack for it. Vivian was my favorite party member in Paper Mario 2. So this hack pleases me... Now if only I could play Ness even the slightest bit well. <_>
On the plus side. I tested this hack out in a replay I made using default Ness. The replay went just fine. So maybe Vivian is Wifi safe? I'll test this further. As well as Goombella.
So what I'm reading here is characters being recloned... why, exactly?
Because everything has to be just like Melee!
...
I find it ironic. In Melee. People whined about clones. In Brawl, they changed them quite a bit... Now people want clones back to what they were...
Personally. I think if the clone engine ever gets cracked. It would be neat to have both versions of clones. Like... Holding R button changes the move set. So you have the choice to either play the character just like Melee. Or a fixed up Brawl version of the character, to better fit P:M. (Or in Ganon's case, make him more like the LoZ version.)
This would even be good for those who don't like the direction some characters were changed to. (I'm looking at YOU Lucaryu... Some people liked normal Lucario more.)
But, I do realize this would be a LOT to balance out... So even with the Clone Engine, it most likely wouldn't happen.
