That's pretty nifty looking. Can the transforming version work over custom stage slots? The read-me doesn't say, but I assume it's similar to how I'd do a rel for any other stage. I just don't know about the whole multiple pac thing.

Sounds good. Yeah, the main reason I thought of Ganondorf was the dashing choke too. Hope you have more success ripping the rest of the objects. If it doesn't work, he still looks badass anyways (I could always try my hand at custom modeling the extra parts if it comes to it).

I just wanted to say that Lu Bu is looking amazing so far! Should I assume that it's over Ike since he seems to have his weapon? I think Either Ike or Ganondorf would be great fits, whichever you decide to go with. If he is over Ike, it might be cool (if possible) to size-mod him so he's roughly as tall as Ganondorf. I'm not sure if that's a simple thing to do without causing major gameplay issues.

I noticed that the feathers on his headdress seem to be cut short. I'm not sure if that's just due to the camera angles or because they needed to be in order to avoid clipping.

Just wanted to say again that he's looking great so far and these are just a few things I noticed. Thanks for the awesome work!

Holy crap! Please tell me you have plans for Lu Bu as well!!

EDIT:
nvm just took a peek inside your thread. I just finished watching Microsoft's E3 conference, and Lu Lingqi is the first exciting thing I've seen today!  Smiley

Thanks, but I don't mind waiting for you to release your moveset once it's finished. It's relieving to know that someone is at least working on a Samus moveset that incorporates crawling, outside of PM.

I did some more toying around and I got my big SD card to work with the music. I did see that Mewtwo on the vault but I hadn't gotten around to trying it yet. Glad to know that it works Smiley

As for Samus, I mainly wanted PM's for the crawling, but the beams are a nice touch too.

I was playing around with more of the custom slots, and it seemed like most of them had okay enough sfx. Just a couple of them (Lloyd, mainly) kept spamming obnoxious Wolf quotes  Laugh

So I think the main thing I must do now is seek out this ShinF fellow then. I'm surprised extra slots in EX isn't more widespread.

Thanks for the responses, again

1) Okay, so then does anybody know of an existing pack that includes EX with all the extra outfits for basic characters? If I were to make changes to one that doesn't, how might I do that?

2) So it's caused by certain characters then, eh? Is there any way to know beforehand which characters cause this problem? I'm guessing any of the alternate version characters (Young Link, various Ganongdorf PSAs, etc) as their own slots would be problematic.

3) So basically, any characters in the extra slots will always be lacking their sfx? That's too bad, but good to know.

5) Ouch, those were the two main ones I was interested in Sad

6) I think the pack that I tried out only had codes to redirect songs from SSE and various menus into the custom stages, but none to actually add new song entirely, though I could be wrong. What is this SDHC extension? I was just launching the game through the PM launcher. Everything worked fine off my 8 GB card other than the music.

Thanks for the responses so far!

I've recently decided to do a massive update on what's on my SD card, and I have a few questions.

Ideally, what I'd like to have is Brawl EX with all the slots, the most recent Stage Expansion (v3, I believe), and cBliss. I have a few questions regarding these:

1) I know people say cBliss isn't possible with EX, but then they say EX can give you the extra outfits anyways. However, all the "hack packs" I've tried so far only have the basic number of outfits. Has anyone successfully "combined" the two yet, or is it something that's just possible in theory for now?

2) Another thing about these packs, some of them say you need to exit the CSS after each match, while others don't require this. Does anyone know why that is?

3) All of the custom characters in the EX hack packs I've tried either have the wrong sfx or none at all. Is this unavoidable when using EX, or is there a way to give everyone their own sfx?

4) If I were to start with one of these hack packs, how complicated would it be for me to replace some of the extra characters with others that don't necessarily use the same base character? For instance, if I wanted to replace Gotenks with Ridley.

5) I tried Project M and like some of the changes, but not all. Is it possible to use some of their movesets in basic Brawl as I would any PSA, or would they not work properly (do they only work the way they do because of lots of codes)?

6) When I saw that PM could load SD cards > 2GB I went out and bought an 8GB one. However, all the custom music I put on it messes up even after reformatting. Has anyone else gotten custom songs to play correctly on larger SD cards, or is the PM loader still not perfect yet?

If anyone could provide answers for any of these questions, that would be a big help. I feel like I can't make any progress until I get this all sorted out. Thanks!

I was just teasing, but you should try the request section. I've never heard of Total Drama, but I'm sure someone there probably has.

Okay, I may have exaggerated a bit.  Cool As for more realistic textures, there's only so many things I can think of that would make sense for Brawl. For example, Lucario looks great with his fur, but they barely did anything with Pikachu, and he still looks good. Certain pokeys just don't need it I guess. I kinda like the direction the next Smash is taking.

Hmmm, asking someone who hasn't made anything in years if he take requests... Don't you know that the only thing that matters in life is Pokemon?   Tongue

Now, if people find a way to rip 3DS models, I really will be out of work once X and Y come out  Im srs here

Making stages was a lot of fun, but I know even less about those than I do making characters, so there's not much else I can do about that. The bee stage is still in the hands of DSX8, I think, and I don't remember if anyone ever took up the docks stage. In either case, I've done all that I can for them. I'd still be somewhat interested in making other stages if someone agreed to finish it off beforehand, but I don't want to make a new stage and then force it on someone.

As for OCs, I think they'd be cool to make, but ideally I'd want them to be made from scratch so I could use them in my own little project, and my experience is basically limited to altering existing models. Things like Genesect I can do from scratch, but I wouldn't know where to begin on something more organic like a human body and face.

Thanks. I have a few (old) things in the works, but they are mostly reliant on other people at this point.

And my reappearance wasn't that sudden. I made some request threads the previous day Smiley
