196  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: Aafyre's Models and Textures and stuff - Magus! on: December 15, 2012, 11:48:58 PM
Well, I wasn't going to take another pic because it's pretty similar to the most most recent one I took, but since you asked:

Magus's model is done. Is anyone man enough to take up rigging this beast?

Here's the 3ds scene:
http://www.mediafire.com/?h5n1e13ap2k62pa

I think the one to work with is the singleCape version. He's using Marth's cape, but I figured I could delete one side of it (Marth had 2 cape polys) so that the texture would be the same on each side when making the cape spiky at the bottom like how Magus has it. I asked the peeps in the WIP thread, and they said this should work if I do something about the normals in brawlbox or something. So I included the doubleCape version just in case. The 2010 and 2011 just indicates which version of 3dsmax the file is saved as, so you can use whichever one corresponds with your version.

If anyone wants to pick this up, that would be super special awesome. And of course, he'll need a few things to be texture-mapped afterwards.

Oh, and for Pinsir, I wonder if it would be possible to put him over Wario, but move his mouth bones so that they control the giant pincers on top of his head. This idea is slightly crazier than the last.

Sir Flygon, I am a fan of your pokeyman hacks, and I noticed you had an option for Sandslash over Metaknight in your poll. Have you considered putting him over Sonic though? You could use the short-legs version that the classic sonic and Sneasel hacks use, plus you can make him curl up into his spiky ball. I think it would go really well with him.

WOOOOoooooooooooo

For the curious:
Vegeta's upper body and boots
Piccolo's legs, head, and collar
Lucifer's (Shin Megami Tensai) hair
Marth's cape
Ganondorf's hands

Now all I gots to do is add all his little accessories (and then find someone to rig!)

Oh, and here's a question. Since Marth has 2 sides (polys) of his cape, would it be possible to delete one of them and just have the same texture apply to both sides of the now single poly? I was thinking about this for when I have to make his cape spikey at the bottom. It would look better to do it with the texture than to vertex spikes, I think.

Well done, my boy. Well done.

I really hope you're able to figure something out randomizer.

Annyways...

Piccolo + Lucifer's (Shin Megami Tensei) hair = ???

That's good to hear. Hopefully everything works. I'm a little worried about about some of the parts I had to clone, like the sword handle. Just not sure I did that correctly, but we'll see.
204  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: Aafyre's Models and Textures and stuff on: December 11, 2012, 02:05:05 PM
Well that's strange.

Okay, I attempted to export the model as DAE and OBJ, and I also saved the scene as a 3ds 2010 file (I use 2011):
http://www.mediafire.com/?fua5zsbd82td57b

When I tried importing the dae, the head got all stretched, and when I tried importing the obj, the textures were all gone and it combined all the parts into one object. Then when I separated by ID, some parts became un-smooth. Anyways, I didn't really know what I was doing. I'm hoping one of these things can work for you.

That would be great, Ninka. Here's the file that I posted in the request section:

Feel free to work on it whenever you have time.

Sure, I'll give you the texture for your V2. I never quite got my Electabuzz's face quite right, so I wouldn't exactly say yours is nothing compared to mine  Awesome Face

On a side note, I would really like to have a Lickitung import over Yoshi, and if anyone wanted to do that, I would gladly T-pose and texture it, but the only model of it I've been able to find comes from Pokemon Coeum, which still uses N64 models, so it looks pretty sad. And I kind of have a policy of not making custom models for things that already exist in (acceptable) 3d form. Same goes for Judith (Tales of Vesperia) and Lu Bu (Dynasty Warriors 7 ver.)

Finally, does anyone have suggestions for Brawlified pokemon textures? Some are definitely harder to think of than others.

Sorry about Banjo, but I don't know how to fix it. On top of that, someone else made a custom model of Banjo over Mario that I think is at least as good as my vertex, so you should try that.

Also, broken image..  Oh shi~

I guess I shoulda put her over Metaknight, huh?

Ha, I was just kidding about the vertex thing. Here's some more Mitsuru:

So far it's using ZSS's body & front hair, Marth's arms, sword, sheath, face, & hair parts, Dedede's coat, Jody Summer's hair, Falco's belt & gun, and Leslie's (Arc Rise Fantasia) hair parts. Still gotta turn the sword into a rapier!
