1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / ✿ Scarlet Revived ✿ : Flan Has Finally Returned, Completely Revamped PSA! on: January 05, 2012, 07:28:54 PM
Flandre Scarlet is definitely one of the oldest running Brawl Projects. She has been in the making as of March 13th 2010. It's today that the project is finally revived, and COMPLETED!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And so it begins.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(incomplete)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Model and Future Updates:
The Miku Miku Dance model was imported by Blackjax96, after nearly 2 years of hard coding and deciphering. He promised me that he would get in the game at any cost, and so she did. I salute you Blackjax.
So far, the model works more of less perfectly. There are a few bugs that need to be fixed though. Bj's already on 'em.  Awesome Face
  • Flan's Buttons are not actually attached to her shirt, nor do they rotate with her body, but do when the whole model is rotated.
  • Some graphical issues
  • Her Staff is connected to her wrist instead of her hand. Hard to Animate with.
  • (In the Future, if possible) Apply gravity wind physics to her dress and wing-crystals.
Completed Animations:
My philosophy on animations: If it doesn't look good enough to have been MADE for Brawl, then it is not good enough. I am very good at animating, and animations are half the reason why movesets look good. This will be updated often.
Not yet uploaded: Walks, Dash, and a few non-important ones. (Unimportant animations like WaitItem and ect. won't have pics)
Moveset:
I've had a year to go through, change, and hopefully COMPLETE the moveset. The original moveset was a bit overpowered, so it has been redone, and I must say, it will look beautiful in-game.
Flandre has three major factors to her. She is lightweight, fast, and has amazing aerial combat. On the ground, her attacks are rather slow and weak. In the air, her moves are fast, have oddly high knockback, and are quite spammable. She is also small (about Mario's height), and very floaty.
A: Flandre swings her free arm horizontally, from her right to her left, with a small fire graphic following it from start to finish. 3-5 % damage.
AA: Working off of the previous attack, she swings her arm back again, from her left to her right, with the same fire graphic. The difference is that the graphic is slightly larger, and the hitbox extends out slightly more. 4-6% damage.
Foreward tilt: She step's foreward and swings her staff, the Lævateinn. Has good reach, but low damage for a foreward tilt. 5-7% damage.
Up tilt: Flan quickly flings her arm in the air, straight upward, eyes closed, and open handed. After a slight delay, she clenches her hand into a fist, with a small explosion graphic. Has higher damage than alot of her ground-based attacks, due to having a delay. 10-12% damage, medium-high knockback.
Down Tilt: Swings the Laevetinn along the ground in a slow sweeping motion. 6% Damage.
Up Smash: While charging, Flandre crouches slightly, and folds her wings over her head, crystals facing outwards. When released, she swings her wings up and over her, goes into a backflip, and lands. This move hits twice. Once when the wings come in contact with the enemy, and once when her feet do. The wing-contact does 9% damage, and no knockback. The Feet-contact does 5% damage and medium knockback.
Side Smash: Flan flaps her wings and makes a sharp sprint forward, ramming into the enemy. There is very little lag after the attack, so you can repeat the smash in the opposite direction to trap your enemy until the knockback throws them out. Depending on how heavy the enemy is, determines how many times you can spam the attack. 3-5% Damage, Low knockback.
Down smash: Flandre unfurls her wings, crouches and spins low to the ground, with her wing crystals pointing outward, like a saw blade. To have an idea as to how this looks, it's somewhat similar to Peach's down smash. Hits 4 times, medium-low knockback. 3-5% each hit.
Neutral special: Flande shoots 5 projectiles ahead of her, arranged in a sideways V shape. It can be charged and held until release, but you cant move with a charged shot ready. High range, but low damage, about 1-2% each hit. just enough knockback so it stops the enemy from progressing forward. Slicing graphic when in contact with enemy.
Side Special: Flandre creates a large Blade from Flame, and swings it horizontally. Exactly what is shown in
this video
at 0:03. Has a TON of start up and ending lag, making it fair enough, seeing as it does high damage, and reaches as far as 3/4th the length of Final Destination. MediumHigh Knockback with Fire graphics when in contact with enemy, 12-15% damage.
Down special: Flandre backflips into the air, aims her arms downward, and releases a barrage of projectiles towards the ground, in a bit of a fan-shape. This attack has three stages of charge. First stage is just a barrage of small pellets that cause no knockback. The second, are small super-scope sized bullets, that cause low knockback. The third charged state fires 3 large bullets that explode on contact with the ground. These have high knockback and damage.
Low: 1-2% damage per bullet
Medium: 3-5% Per bullet
High: 8-10% per bullet, high knockback, explodes
Up special: Flan uses her most famous spell card, "And then there where none."
Shown here,
the attack allows her to control her direction through the air, but the controls are a bit slippery. Small, low-range projectiles fly out from all directions while in use. She is invincible to all damage during this attack, and forces her into freefall when it's complete or cancelled. Bullets cause 1-2% damage, and lasts for 3 seconds or so. It can be cancelled at any time by pressing B.
Neutral Special Air: Flandre shoots 6 short-range spikes from all around her. They cause 2-3% damage and have low knockback.
Side Special Air: Similar to her side-smash, except it goes much farther and forces her into Freefall after it's done. Medium-high knockback, 10% Damage.
Back air: Flandre Lifts her wings up (so the crystals point up and behind her) and swings them down and backflips right-side up again, causing slicing graphics, 8% damage and a spike.
Foreward air: Flandre gains forward momentum, and uses her leg to first kick upwards (4% damage) and then down again (7% damage).
Down Air: Flandre curls up into a ball, and closes her wings like a pair of scissors below her. After, she forces her legs downward (Similar to Ganondorf's Down-Aerial) causing a weak spike. Causes 5% damage.
Up air: More or less the same as the down air, minus the foot-spike part.
Final smash:
Still under debate. Sorta leaning towards something similar to this idea:
Replace the soccer ball with Jigglypuff... >w>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, and once last thing. Find someone with the "I support Flandre Stamp" and put it somewhere in your sig. (Yes, it CAN be in spoilers) It isn't for my benefit, it's for yours. Trust me, if you're exited about this moveset, then you will definitely want the stamp!

If so, has anyone ripped them?
3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Brawl imports : Sprite Characters (Concept) on: May 21, 2011, 12:35:05 PM
I was thinking of the recent advancements in Brawl hacking and it hit me. "Is it possible to make sprite characters? After brainstorming for a bit, the answer turns out to be yes, but only after the MDL0 converter is finished. Here's how. (Warning, big Pic ahead!!)

It's quite possible i'm COMEPETELY wrong with this process, but I dont see how. Let me know if you see some sort of flaw.
4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Can you overload a Mationect? on: May 20, 2011, 07:53:51 AM
Basically, If I was to import a model with completely new bones, and made custom animations for it, could I overload the original characters motionect, because the animations run off of both new bones and the old ones?
5  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / **Perfect Brawl Announcer Voice Actor** on: May 18, 2011, 08:39:41 PM
I recently talked to an extremely good Voice actor on Youtube, and I asked him the all important question:

"Would you do voice acting for our Brawl hacks?"

He openly agree'd, and is willing to take character name requests for Brawl!!

http://www.youtube.com/user/FutureMal

But please, dont ask for anything until you have a real idea of a project you really WANT to finish, not something your going to abandon after a week.

We dont want to be bombarding him with requests.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Lengthening Peaches hair via Motionect on: April 27, 2011, 07:52:14 PM
I can lengthen peaches hair in Brawlbox, but after applying animations, it goes back to normal length. I thought there was a way to do this that didn't require editing every single animation, no?
7  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / ~~Hacking Starter Pack (Please Help out!!)~~ on: April 24, 2011, 12:07:26 PM
To make life easier on new hackers, I want to throw together a hacking starter pack. This pack (For Riivolution) will help out new hackers test and figure out new hacks easier than having to download them all individually.

Here's how this will work. All you need to do is post a hack you think should be part of the starter pack, AND the download link for it.

Now there is a few criteria that need to be followed.

1) If it is a Character hack, you must include a CSP
1A) If it's a completely new character with PSA (I.E. Shadow the hedgehog) an entire CSP selection must be available.
1B) While in-battle portraits are not necessary, it would still be great to have.

2) If it is a stage hack, it must include an SSP, name, and the larger SSP for the stage preview.

3) Item hacks do not need a portrait.

4) If we come to an impass, where two replacement character's are wanted on a single character, a poll will be used to decide.

5) All hacks MUST BE FREEZE PROOF!!

And I think thats it. Any volenteers are welcome. Please go ahead and make a folder now including whatever you think should be included in the pack. I will pull them all together into one superfolder. Tongue

This WILL be released on Brawlvault, so everyone who contributes will be credited!! Please include the maker of the hack as well, for this will mkae it much easier to credit them.

Thanks very much!!
8  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Who do YOU want imported? (Not a request thread) on: April 19, 2011, 11:52:52 AM
With the near completion of the MDL0 converter, it's worth asking, what do you guys want imported into Brawl anyways?

Remember, the models can be from any game or any system (Wii, N64, PS3, Xbox, ect) or if your experienced enough, even make your own model!!

(Note: This isn't a thread to request imports, it's mean to just share your ideas... silly...)
9  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Japanese Brawl Hacking Sites? on: April 03, 2011, 08:13:03 AM
Like, do these exist? The Japanese are FAR more epic than we are so, if they do have a site, what kind of hacks could they have? o.O

I'm trying to edit a vertex hack already on the vault, but whenever I try to convert the Modeldata[0] it using AIS, the command box opens for a fraction of a second, then closes, not making a .dae anywhere.

I havent had this problem before so... any help guys?

Here's the model I'm editing if that helps:

12  Help & Tutorials / Help / 3DS Max: startup crashing? on: February 16, 2011, 02:24:32 PM
I was trying a new .PMD importer script for 3DS max 8, and when I used it, it gave me an error telling me I needed to fix an option for it to work.

I fixed it, and the program ran normally. I shut down 3DS so the option would take place. When I reopened it though, the startup screen comes up, and the program opens, but then automatically closes with an error message, asking if I would like to report this to autodesk.

I removed all brawl-related plugin's and scripts, but to no effect. Has anyone else had this problem? Sad

And of course, we also have a model port of Mite, the coolest Subspace Emmisary enemy if you ask me.

Both Subspace Characters are over Yellow alloy.

On the simplistic texturing side, I made a recolor pack for Geno along with CSP's, names, and everything you could possibly need for our wooden puppet pal!! Cheesy

In other news, I have always been a fan of the Glitch Pokemon, especially Missingno. What I discovered recently is how easy it is to make Blocks out of Meta-Knight. And these monstrosities where born!!

Who doesn't love Pikachu? Who doesn't like vertexed Pikachu? We have both, today!! First off is what happens when you drink a gallon of chocolate milk and need an idea for a hack. May I present, PINE TREE PIKACHU!! Part vertex part pikachu ALL awesome.  Awesome Face

Next up, my most proud hack, scythe pikachu. I used pikachu's hat from his second costume and vertexed it into a scythe, just in case the name of the hack didn't clue you in.

And to make scythe pikachu even more kick-awesome, here's a dark version.

-Texture and original Dark Pikachu vertex by TCII.

14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Character Vertexes and Textures / Ice Fairy Cirno : NEED SOMEONE TO EXPORT PLEASE!! on: November 03, 2010, 01:43:56 PM
Note, there is not a request. This is my own hack I need help exporting from 3DS after using the New method. Could someone please do that for me? D:

Yes, our favorite Idiot Ice fairy is here, with some awesome wings!!

She comes with 3 weapons: Two icicles and a spikey... ice... ball...?
Here's how she was made:

- 2 icicles and spike ball made from the pan, racket, and golf club, respectively.

- Blouse made from her "Attack Crown" (Peach's AFA). The bone for it must be re-named for it to work in-game.

- Bow made from her real crown.

- Wings made from her fake crown's Jewels.

Like I said before, I need someone to export this. If you do, you will be credited upon it's release. And I need it ASAP. Please and thanks. :3

15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / The Mysteries of Mewtwo... on: October 14, 2010, 03:27:43 PM
Everyone know's Mewtwo. The worlds strongest pokemon, and my personal favorite Smash brothers character, at least, until Brawl came along.

But here's some questions I had. These being:

1) ***The original hackers***

Not long after brawl came out, we had all heard of the "Forbidden seven." Seven characters apparently planned for brawl, but never made it for unknown reasons. Mewtwo was one of these. Strong signs show that he was most DEFINATELY planned for brawl. These being his own model, and brand new sound effects, one supposedly for his final smash.

My question is, WHO where these "Legendary hackers" that found the forbidden seven, and more importantly, Mewtwo? Has anyone actually found his model after these reports? Have we ever been able to gain these models and sound effects? And if so, why havent they been ported to brawl already?

2) ***Mewtwo's Trophy?***

Mewtwo transition from brawl to melee had caused him to become nothing more than a trophy. But, could it be possible that mewtwo's trophy is actually the model INTENDED for brawl?

There are obvious differences between the trophy and melee's model. This could be possibly because this was the re-vamped model made for brawl, the one that those hackers before us had claimed to had found.

And why hasn't someone used the new vertex hacking method to conform lucario's model into mewtwo's trophy model?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Forgive me if I'm being naive in any way, but IF we can somehow find theme acclaimed models, then it shouldn't be long until we see this:
