To be frank, I don't want Melee 2.0 nor Brawl 2.0, I just want Sm4sh to be its own thing, taking from both Melee and Brawl without being a v2.0 of either.
Once Sm4sh modding picks up and the exploit drops, I'd like to get a group of people to create what would basically be "Patch 1.1.6. The Fan Patch". in which characters would be lightly to heavily changed, depending on where they are on the tier list. I'd also like to remove/fix/adjust the really jank things about Sm4sh (Rage, Footstooling, Glitches, Single Player Item spawning, etc).
My ultimate goal is to make every character at least viable in someway without being either too bad to even use or too broken to even bother with.
The Param files that can be read and edited are under ItmCommonParam section. If you've already extracted from there, I wouldn't know what's wrong, as the files are being read on my end. Did you try closing BB after exporting the Param files?
Nonsense aside, looks like it's that time again...The time to end the second Strawpoll!
Out of 54 voters, almost half of those voters chose all the Custom Special options, so it looks like I'm going to be making all the possible Custom Specials for a Sm4sh Charizard update.
For a disclaimer, I will not be making all the combinations, as that would just bloat the download with at least 12 different versions, so instead, I'm going to be having 3 different versions (1-1-1-1, 2-2-2-2, and 3-3-3-3) for Brawl (Independent Charizard only) and 3 different versions for PM (Flare Blitz version only, in which only the Flare Blitz options will be available).
While this will mean you'll have to learn some PSA to get what you want, it will ease a lot of work for me on my end, as on top of coding the Custom Specials themselves, I'll also have to make sure I have all the Charizard Customs in Sm4sh unlocked before I start.
With the poll coming to an end (the poll will end tomorrow in the afternoon), I've decided to post a written moveset for a potential character in the future.
Thanks to a few members on the Gamindustri subreddit, I've constructed a planned moveset for this character candidate. I'm sure the weebs here will love this.
It's none other than Planeptune's CPU, Neptune! The (mostly) main character of the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise! http://pastebin.com/DCPskrBG'](Written Moveset)[/URL]
Sm4sh Charizard and Solo Charizard are two completely different movesets with different character bases.
Sm4sh Charizard uses Charizard as a base, while Solo Charizard uses Link as a base.
In the Readme.txt, you'll see which Charizard you want to use for Sm4sh Charizard.
And now that I have the chance to post, I'll be posting an update about the current strawpoll.
So far, it seems like the majority wants me to do all the possible custom options for Sm4sh Charizard, though we still have two days left until I end the poll.
If I do all the possible combinations, that's gonna be at least 12 different versions, which I don't really want to do, so instead, I'll have 3 different versions, one with the regular Specials, a second one with the second Special options, and a third with the third Special options.
While this will mean you'll have to learn a bit of PSA to mix and match Specials, it'll be a lot less work on my end to have 3 different versions, rather than over 12. It may be less than that if certain Specials options aren't possible in Brawl.
I'm also going to do something for future and current PSAs, which is to write out planned movesets, so I'll know what I want to do when I get to the said characters. This includes certain possible candidates as well.
Alright, I'm gonna end the current poll. With 38 voters, I'll be including Custom options for Sm4sh Charizard with a favoring 27/38 vote majority and an un-favoring 11/38 vote minority.
