I'm working on Mario's recolours. Why hasn't anyone else posted anything today?
'Cause I didn't feel like posting anything till I was done with Pikachu's recolors; I'm only doing his blue, green, and red ones, since the others would require imports/vertexes, but I'm about halfway done or so, I think.
Textures and Model imports shouldn't affect the overall gameplay. PSA mods would also have no affect for the most part, but I can't help but feel that something weird may happen...
Ty for explaining this to me; now I know one more thing about Brawl that I didn't know about before!
They are all mods of the Hackless version, and tend to change the overall gameplay. Project M, the most popular one, changes it's mechanics to be more closer to Melee. Brawl Plus as far as I know is a mod that balances Brawl, and removes tripping. Brawl Minus essentially balances the characters by making them all broken. You'd have to play them yourself if you wanna get into further detail.
So, from my understanding of what you said, those are just codes that are different for each mode, so models and textures and such would work for any of those modes, right?
I was just curious; everyone says that Project M, Brawl Minus, Brawl Plus, Hackless Brawl, and any other types are different; I'm curious what the difference is, since I don't seem to run into any issues when using Project M or normal Brawl models for my characters. So what's the difference with all of these types?

Not sure if you meant to have the white in the hair or not, but it looks pretty sexy. A nice touch to the rest of the model. I'd say color the cape and hair gold, though. Your choice, of course.
The cape is close(but not the same) as P:M Roy, and the hair is identical; the white is because it's a BrawlBox preview, with the bones and polygons of hurt faces and such disabled for the render. Whether or not frozenfire even wants this texture, or this texture edited is up to him, so if he requests that I do that, I'll do that.
I coudn't help but notice that you put up Roy in the starting roster, and I already have a recolor on the vault that would fit in nicely. It's based off of Regal Marth(The mainly white recolor in Brawl and Melee):
Thanks. I think my Bowser didn't look good because he has too many model changes in the real Smash 4. Oh, I did Mario BTW. So someone can do his recolors if they want. But I'm done working for the night. Other than some random texture surprise that will blow everyone's mind because of how random it is. I'll start working on it right away.
If you tell me what colors for Mario, I'll do it if nobody else calls it, since I'm good at recolors.
My answer for the poll wasn't available; what I would suggest would be to put up the starting roster(i.e. Mario, Link, and other characters that will definitely be there), and update it every time a new character is there. Also, on a side note, I can recolor, make screenshots, and beta test.(You can check my vault for some of my recolor work, and you can ask Scout about my beta testing and screenshot-taking skills.)
I exported textures in BrawlBox and edited them in GIMP. I usually just use the colorize tool to brighten them up. --------------------------------- Sure, I'll start working on the Smash 4 styled Pichu and Raichu, and you work on Pikachu's red blue and green colors. Post Merge: September 07, 2014, 04:11:15 PM So? It's not big of a change, but that's mostly because not much change is needed. What do you think? Is it more, or less Smash 4 styled than the original?
Ok, then I'll work on those three. Also, it does look more Sm4sh-styled, and for techniques for colorizing, did you try separating the texture into parts, coloring those parts, then pasting them back onto eachother? You can check out my tutorial here on how to do it with MS Paint and Google Sketchup.
Okay, windhunter7, his recolors are going to be almost identical to his Brawl Recolors: -Original: Yellow, its normal appearance in Pokemon X & Y versions. -Red: Slightly Orange, it wears a red cap. -Green: More of a yellowgreen color, it'll wear a green bandanna. -Blue: Exactly same as SSBB except with More clear and realistic-looking goggles. -Pichu: A model-swap, Pichu from SSBM with one-slot size mod. -Raichu: Another model-swap, Raichu from whatever game with a Smash 4 look.
While looking for Pichu and Raichu models, I found these: Pichu Would this model retextured to be SSB4-styled work? RaichuWould this model and texture work? It looks like he'd fit well in.
Yes. Here's how: On the left panel, you can deslect texture files to make those textures(And the models attached) not visible. Only leave the EyeWhite and EyeIris textures visible, and the rest invisible; if this does not work, you can always export the iris texture, and import it as an RGB texture(For rendering) over the one that's visible in the preview.

You could use spoilers. Post Merge: September 06, 2014, 07:29:39 PMDo you think you could post pictures with text linking to each part of the character what color it should be for all of the recolors, so that I can know what I would be doing for the recolors? I'll post an example of what I mean in a couple minutes. Post Merge: September 06, 2014, 07:35:33 PMI mean like this, where the recolor would be yellow is now blue, his ears' black spots and cheeks' red spots are now green, and the brown spot on his tail is now brown.(This is just an example, not an actual thing I'm gonna do.)
