1606  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: common5_en.pac HELP! on: July 16, 2014, 05:28:20 PM
Okay, so I am a riivolution user and common5_en.pac doesn't work at all. I've put it in: SD Card/private/wii/app/RSBP/pf/system. I have followed all the tutorials but it never works, PLEASE HELP!!!

Wrong directory; put it in SD Card Root->ssbb->projectm->system instead; that's the default Riivolution setup; also, you still need the .gct file, but under a different name and stuff, to get any Riivolution hacks to work.

But yeah, Donald is right about removing the "_en" part.

Well if you could help out with the Zelda music, that'd be fantastic Cheesy and Mario, too

I'll get the models to you later today--if you want, we can split them :p less work for the both of us

Sure, why not? Also, what do you mean by "music ideas"? Do you mean, like, which songs from the series are the best, or most fitting for specific stages or something like that?

Thanks! For the Pokemon trophy textures, just make them look like their shiny forms. But only the Pokeball Pokemon. I wouldn't want you to do all of that work for all the trophies ^.^
And if you could, can you give me some music ideas from games like Starfox and Yoshi? I'm not familiar with those games' music sound tracks.

Also, I'm not very familiar with Starfox or Yoshi either; I'm more of a Zelda/Mario/Sonic/Pokemon(Only a fan of original Pokemon games Tongue) fan

Would you mind linking to the models for me to retexture, so that I know what I'm retexturing? Also, it may take a while for me to do the texture request(s), as I already am doing 2(Maybe 3, depending on whether or not this next guy accepts my help) texture requests; if you don't want to wait, I would ask someone else for help Grin

For the texture requests, I could do those requests, but you'll have to tell me exactly what you want me to do for them, so that they're as top quality to what you want as possible.

If you want to make them shiny, doing that via recolor would be a pain(As well as not as realistic), so a much simpler method would be to use Ganondorf's armor's reflection textures/materials, or Samus's(They're both shiny)

What was the hack? Because if it was one of the hacks where you have to rename it to the proper filename, that could be important to setting it up.
1613  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Having trouble with a hack on: July 14, 2014, 05:34:07 PM
I had this same difficulty starting out when I first did Brawl hacking, then I realized my stupid and obvious mistake: I hadn't renamed the .pac/.pcs to the proper names, and figured Brawl would just add more skins, rather than "replacing" the old ones. So, did you try renaming the one(s) you want to keep "FitCaptain0X", where 'X' is the number you want it to replace?(0 is the normal one, and he made it to replace 1)(Example name: FitCaptain00 replaces the skin when you initially select Captain Falcon.)
1614  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: What do I name the CSP files for each character? on: July 14, 2014, 05:34:06 PM
The CSP's get imported into the .brres in "info"->"portrite"; each file in there(There are about 500) is a single CSP, and chronologically, they're in the same order as the stock icons in the common5 pac.
As for the CSS's, those would be imported into the common5 pac in "system"; to figure out which skin you're porting it over, you can check which skin your import is over, and check which portrait in the common5 pac it matches, and import your portrait there.

Save the picture to the wii. Then start unmodded brawl, move the picture to your sd the nomal way through the album, convert.

If it still scramble, the picture got corrupted, take the pictures again and retry the step above.

Wow, lolz!
Twice in a row you beat me to saying what I already said, and would have said already if I wasn't moderated. Tongue

1616  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: Scout's Uploading Tips #1: Ingame Pictures on: July 13, 2014, 07:36:48 PM
On Riivolution i took the pictures, with the SD card i have i cant save them ingame so i used another card i used Gecko copied it to the card from Album but the program including the older version its scrambled.

Like I said before, and as Scout said in the FAQ or whatever: With Riivolution, there's that bug, so just save it to the Wii, go into normal Brawl after saving it to the Wii, and copying it to the SD from the Wii there. I do it all the time Grin
1617  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: Scout's Uploading Tips #1: Ingame Pictures on: July 13, 2014, 11:38:40 AM
Odd I use Geko as well, and it works fine, sometimes bin2jpg makes a scrambled messes, therefore you have to try taking the picture again.

Also, you used geko to copy them to the sd card?

You can't take a picture and save it directly to the SD while ingame?

Hmm; you beat me to saying that, lol. Grin
1618  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: Scout's Uploading Tips #1: Ingame Pictures on: July 13, 2014, 11:38:40 AM
I took the photos and used gecko to copy them to my card but they come out blank when converted.

You shouldn't use Gecko; use the built-in snapshot function, and if you encounter any bugs we listed above, just follow how to solve them; but Scout even said to use Brawl's snapshot tool, in Step 2:
Step 2:
Take the pictures you want to take in brawl (pause + z button), be sure to save the pictures on the SD card.

No, just the CSSes, I need some for Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Metal Sonic, and Zero Two, from Kirby. I do everything else by hand, with snapshots and searching on Google. Tongue

Ok; please send me the links then so I can take the pictures. Cheesy

Sure! I'll PM you my soon-to-be-Red sc_selcharacter file, OK?

I take it this means that that's a character/characters you want me to make pictures of? Did you want CSPs, CSSes, and/or Stock Icons?
