46  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: WIP Workshop on: May 05, 2012, 12:25:50 PM
The Link over Ike thing looks awesome. I'd suggest changing the tip of his cape though.. it looks too artificial with the way it's pointed at the bottom like that. I'd make it flat across, make smaller (and more numerous) points, or just make a ripped cape like Ike's.

Welcome to KC-MM, MF. It'll never go away. EVER.

Unfortunately.
I wish I was an admin, solely so that I'd be able to correct grammatical/spelling errors. I feel sorry for all the foreigners that must get "your" and "you're" mixed up because of spending time on the forums.

I'm glad to see some people picking up the yoshi-mario animating stuff. Should turn out really awesome.

In other news, the run on sentences, spelling, and grammar of some of the above posts are making me cringe.

Well, Vader and Maul are pretty good... I still wanna do Yoda. But the model is just bad D:

I could see a Vader PSA though, but Idk about Darth Maul. all his fancy lightsaber movement would be a lot of work. XD

Keep in mind, this is in no way me saying I'm considering making a moveset... I'm just conversing... I might actually decide to do one though.
Yeah, unfortunately there's a lack of decent Star Wars hacks on the vault... which is surprising considering how popular it is; just look at the download counts for Vader.
Too bad it's not as discussed on the forums as much as DBZ is.

have you tried any different proxies? Or do they all respond in the same way?

is the vault blocked, or does it it not show up/work properly?

"Any good models you guys think should have a moveset?"

Depends if you're asking for only imported models or if vertexes are okay too.

Imports:
Darth Maul would be awesome to see (model over Marth, could be ported too)
Ironman would be awesome to see

Vertexes:
Darth Vader could use a proper moveset
Banjo-Kazooie has been a long desired character for many of us
Boba Fett or a Stormtrooper would be awesome

All I can think of for right now.

looks pretty sweet I must say.
Do you know anything about the animations for the bunny hood? I assume they're in the common5.pac?
In some sense, I'm surprised no one's ever edited them or anything. I'll have to think of some ideas for that if it's possible.

57  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Brawl hacking awards on: April 23, 2012, 07:19:36 PM
There was one in 2010 and in 2011.
It hasn't happened yet this year because it's a bit to early.
I don't know that it's something to promote. We might get a bunch of non thought through votes via new comers etc. I prefer to stick to the way we hold it. The people more interconnected with said hackers and have been here longer hive better votes (most of the time)
Like Vamayro said, hackers that have been around longer and know more people are more likely to win (not necessarily a bad thing), but it could turn into a popularity contest.
In all honesty, it depends on what criteria you're using to define "great hacks and hackers." In many cases, we already have stuff similar to brawl hacking awards; getting a hack on the front page, or getting a pin for 10000+ downloads or whatever.

It's not a bad idea, it's just that it needs to be distinguished from similar ideas.

Maybe I'm not understanding it correctly though. If you're just talking about having an official blog post (and not just a simple thread or pin) recognizing some of the best hacks of the past year, then I suppose that'd be fine.

Hey it's Toastoftriumph (Mariofan1138) here.

First off: this is NOT my personal request thread.
I've had several creative ideas that I've wanted to do for some time, but I'm unfortunately not too great with keeping on top of my own started projects... and I lack experience in certain fields of hacking.

Anyways, I've decided that if anyone wants to use these ideas, they're welcome to them.

-----
-Death pose/animation replacing the lose animation (victory screen).
Pretty much, instead of clapping, characters are lying dead on the ground, maybe with a sword sticking through them if they have one, or whatever. I've debated whether or not they should simply lay there, or fall over as soon as the victory screen pops up... however, whichever approach is up to you if you want to use this idea.
Additionally, characters don't have to be "dead" per se, so having Ganondorf's leg twisted unnaturally, and him twitching in pain on the ground would work too.

-Sneezing, coughing, (etc) taunts
I thought it'd be hilarious to make a character sneeze on command during a Brawl match. I don't know what I find appealing about it... it's just so obscure and pointless.

-"coin" foods
Foods are replaced with health restoring items like coins from the Mario series.

-taunts/other moves that interact with the camera
For example, Fox shoots at the screen, Snake, during his final smash, shoots over his shoulder while facing the screen, etc.
I'm not sure if the animation is shared with anything else, but the one when characters smash into the screen would be neat to change to something humorous (a character waves as they fly past, someone claws at the screen trying to grab onto something to avoid falling, or gimmicks involving weird body parts/ accessories hitting the screen, (Mario's hat falls past the screen, with Mario falling a second later), etc).

-top hat (bunny hood)
A top hat (or any other accessory) replaces the bunny hood item. It'd be even more neat if the item itself was entirely useless; that is, it had no effect on running speed and jumping height.
------

Anyways, feel free to comment and critique these ideas. I'd appreciate it if you'd post a comment if you plan to use an idea from here.
59  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Kagemaru's Inner Sanctum: PSAing Tifa now. May release by Friday or Saturday on: April 19, 2012, 08:29:28 PM
Wow. I'm really impressed with all of your animation work, especially since you're multitasking on so many projects all at once.

One thing about Tifa: something about her wait animation (the one when she taps her foot) looks unnatural. It may have to do with how she moves her back leg forward, which would look awkward if she constantly is switching stances. Maybe if she moved her leg only a bit forward, so it wouldn't be such a dramatic change from a fighting stance to completely upright. Alternatively, you could have her tap her front foot (heel staying on the ground).
Regardless, the other animations look great, so kudos to you and Kit. I love the subtleties of her hair movement and whatnot, and the dash attack looks awesome.

I'm sad that you decided not to do Yoda though. (Darth Maul instead maybe?)
60  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Cheat Code Question on: April 18, 2012, 07:56:18 PM
the way the code is given is so you can copy/paste it into the .txt file with the rest of your codes. Otherwise, you have to click everywhere to make a new code, name it, paste the code, and add notes.
