Are you using PAL or NTSC?

Cause the common5.pac is pretty against PAL since it mostly crashes.
If you're using NTSC then the above options mentioned by Demibrot are the most likely.

What Miniova said isn't entirely true. If you update the Homebrew channel before updating the Wii the channel stays. Gecko OS still works only Riivolution will NOT work. The rest will.
