1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: PSA Tips: What's possible and what's not possible. on: July 26, 2016, 01:25:32 PM
Do the modding gods foresee adding an AI teammate to a character other than IC's ever possible?
2  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Board Problems, Suggestions and Updates on: January 01, 2016, 08:28:11 PM
It used to work in chrome before the host transfer, now it's not working in firefox, chrome,IE

The lack of a Search function is really a hamper in the A/A Help boards. I used to use it all the time to look if anyone else had the same issues as me but now I can never search successfully. I'm also getting the "Contact an Administrator" message.

The Attribute switching is done via gct code + new PSA commands.

Wow, neat stuff. So PSAs like Chrom could be fully realized in Brawl now.

Yes, it is possible.

Sweet. Is the method complicated or is there something out there as simple as BB? Just wondering who's doing the extracting and how it's being done.

Super impressive. How are you getting the 4 forms to have unique attributes? Or are you incorporating a mechanic similar to what Nintendo is doing with Corrin (Have the forms appear for different attacks- Attack form for the projectile, Defensive for the shield, Speed for an agility specia movel, etc) or will they be completely separate PSAs? And that Deoxy orb graphic is EXTREMELY similar to the Dark Samus SSB4 Assist Trophy graphic that I have been trying to replicate on my PSA:

It's great to see there are still mods as ambitious as this!

Since Smash 3DS animation porting it a thing, I'm gonna be doing Smash Wii U Charizard as I wait for Deoxys-related things.

Man, as much some custom animations are impressive... there's nothing like what Nintendo themselves put out.

Is it possible to extract the animations of an assist trophy from SSB4? Specifically Dark Samus? :-p
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / How do you replace Assist Trophy models? (Saki) on: October 05, 2015, 01:54:28 PM
I went into the AsfSakiBrres.pac file and replaced Saki with a different model but it still shows up as Saki in game. I'm running the latest version of Project M.

The file is also placed in the correct location on the SD card (E:\projectm\pf\item\saki) so I'm not sure what the problem is...

I'm curious to see what you can conjure for Chris Redfield. You're past stuff has been really cool so I'm sure this will turn out interesting!

Dark Samus has absorbed Ghor's PLASMA BEAM.
*Beam position will be moved forward.

That's extremely impressive. I'm extremely hype for this moveset.

:-D

Another graphical update. My whole reason for starting this project was to get my favorite Dark Samus moves from Echoes in Smash and prove to myself that I am capable of creating a quality mod. I wanted the moves to look and feel extremely close to how they did in MP2. My three absolute favorite DS moves were:

Thin Phazon Laser Sweep (Elevator fight from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)

Phazon Scattershot (First two fights from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)

Humongous Phazon Tractorbeam (Final fight against Dark Samus' skeletal form)- *the beam looks pretty damn near identical to how it does in Echoes!

Balance issues aside, I am done with these moves finally! A tiny milestone but animating and graphics took forever to get down. The huge Phazon Beam animation can probably use some work but other than that I'm finally happy with how these look. Now onto balancing, getting the Dark Samus model to look as optimal as possible and integrating sound effects from Echoes into a Sawndz file.

I know that the chances of getting help are slim to none on here but if anyone can investigate on how Dark Samus appears in game that would be great. Her model seems to be very dark (pun not intended actually) compared to how the rest of the cast looks. Maybe there's some lighting effect that she's missing? Does anyone have any idea?
11  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Mortimer's Thread - K.Troopa Previews on: December 05, 2014, 02:30:50 PM
I don't, but I don't intend to not release them either. Most of the critics happened because people don't read what I say and keep accusing me of have ruined brawl with such long and overpowered final smashes. That would be true if I ever intended to release them the way they are on the videos. So, I explained everything again a few times on the third part, and if I get some positive feedback this time, I may release them.

Man who care what people say. It's your project, go with what you want!

That note aside, I like how dark your PSA's are, especially Baphomet. You have a unique "artisitic" vision.

12  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Ridley PSA (by Carnage) remake (completly restarted, 1.5% done) on: November 24, 2014, 03:22:31 PM
Keep it up, Ridley's looking really good from the gifs. The animations look smooth and transition well.
13  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Omni's Realm: Nidoking- Suggest Moves on: November 14, 2014, 10:44:13 PM
Really good ideas so far, especially the ftilt. Maybe have a one percent (since 33 three times is 99 lol) chance of being Mega Punch with the same killing power as Bowser's Fsmash? Just a random dumb idea ha.

Are you referencing Pokemon Stadium for any animations? I though his pose while doing Horn Drill was so sick back in the day. What would be even cooler is importing a clip of the announcer from The Pkmn Stadium games when he says, "THAT WAS BRUTALLL!!!" And putting a slight chance at having it play when the attack connects (assuming you're implementing it of course).

If that sounds at all interesting to you let me know because I know my way around Super Sawndz and can import the audio.
14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Ganon's PSA's™: OoT Ganon Main Moveset almost complete! Beast Ganon and FS soon! on: November 14, 2014, 11:13:56 AM
I'm not going to quote and reply to the first part of the post. It's just me, but I don't like reusing attacks and tacking on "it's in a different direction" tag on it. Just a personal preference.

In regards to your up tilt idea. I like it, but I only have two gripes with it:

1. There aren't any good "draw into a source" electricity gfx (at least none that I know of)

2. I'd like to keep his axe kick as well.

BUT, if I find a suitable electricity gfx, I'll include it and move the axe kick to another move.

And that energy thing... I believe that's when Ganon gets shot by a light arrow. I have no idea whether or not that's caused by Ganon's energy or the light arrow, and I'd rather not theorize that in my thread.

I liked Omni's thunder gfx that he used on Thor. I think if you mod the animation a bit and add a cool sound effect it could work. Also have some asynchronous timers timed a few frames apart to replicate the effect. Just a thought.
15  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Dark Samus PSA- Heavy Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Influence on: November 14, 2014, 10:59:12 AM
Here's some of the progress on animations I've made over the last week if anyone's interested:

*Cliff= Ledge

-cliff, wait animation.
-cliff, escape
-cliff escape, far
-jump F
-jump b
-Guard On, off
-Escape Air
-cliff jumps
-getting up from a downed position (transition between laying down and the Wait stance)

I still need to do all of the damage animations which is going to take probably all of next week ughhh but once it's done I can move to her forward smash and neutral b. Once those are done I can finally get to sound effects and she should be about 85%'ish complete.

I wanted to have her done by Thanksgiving so I could use her against my brother but the combo of playing too much PS3 and being burnt out has slowed down progress... but definitely want this done by the second week of December.

P.S.: I will likely be needing PSA savvy folks for tweaking hitboxes and coding soon so ready your Phazon cannons!
