A bit curious, why does he not have clothes on anymore? I could have sworn he used to have on a cute little outfit. OC PSAs are the best, keep up the great animations. That dash grab is super cute. Also, who is he over?

Yes, he did have an outfit, but the problem with that is that I have to add visibility bones to every animation for things to work, including the outfit for Noah.  I need the bare minimum so that I may reduce the work I have to do on him.  He actually has more expressions too, but again, I need to add visibility bones.

I'm glad you like the animations too, I'm trying to grind these out and keep my motivation to do them as well.  It's not easy working alone.

To answer who Noah is over in Brawl, Noah is over Lucario.  It's because it was easier for my modeler to place and rig everything.

Noah's come a long way, hasn't he?  This fuzzball has been through many highs and lows, ins and outs.

But now, he's getting a well-deserved update!



I'm back, and I've been working on Noah with his newer model:



I'll be starting to work on him much much more, now, and will hopefully release him in a few months.

Working on all movement animations, the very last things I need to do are the edge hanging animations.

Hey there, out of curiosity is this project still being worked on? Also thank god the new version in the preview on page 5 has pants, I get unreasonably uncomfortable around empty crotch furry characters.

I really appreciate this so far, they look really nice and a lot of their movements are really fluid and pleasant. Keep up the good work.

Thank you!  I'm currently working on life things, so it's gonna be a while before I get back to the daily grind of working on this.

Noah is very BrawlEx friendly as his/her weapons are part of his/her model as opposed to external GFX. I assume v2.0 will fix the bug where all the weapons appear during shieldbreak state.

(Sorry the posts here have got me wondering what the gender of this character is.)

That's good to hear.

Oh and, Noah is meant to be a male.

That's nice, thank you!  I won't know how to make Noah compatible with anything other than Vanilla Brawl, so that would have to be up to other people if they want him to be compatible.  I'm developing Noah 2.0 right now, and it's top priority, so that's what I'll be working on.

New attack ideas!  I might need some help with these.  I came up with these for the month I was gone to sea:

Down - B (Evasive Drop/Evasive Counter):  Evasive Drop is done in the air, fast falling downwards so you can avoid incoming attacks.  You can interrupt with any other attack or jump after frame 18.  Evasive Counter is a counter that when hit, Noah pops up behind the attacker and can have a chance to either attack or run.  When Evasive Drop is performed and isn't interrupted before he hits the ground, he will perform Evasive Counter.

Up-B (Scythe Uppercut):  Change the Up-b in the air to the scythe, uppercut with it a few times.  On the ground, have him jump into the air and drop kick downwards, but be able to drop off the side of the stage.

Side-B (Raze):  In the air, Noah sword dives diagonally upward, much like Bayonetta's Side - B in the air in Sm4sh, but he's only able to do one.  Ground Side-B will remain as Sword Boomerang.

Neutral-B (Seige Mode/Sword Thrust): On the ground, Noah will pull his lance out and stand his ground.  You can do four different kinds of movements to dodge out of Seige Mode: side rolls, a spot dodge, or a jump.  Noah can throw his lance with B again, but it leaves him vulnerable.  In the air, Noah throws his sword forwards as a projectile.  Used to push people away from the edge when recovering.

Hopefully I can get these done, and all i'd have to do is make his little getup attacks and I'll be done!  Hooray!
