that is a good find. i think for the most part the coding is done, i can't find any freezes related to it, been tinkering with getting it to work with the stage expansion pack.

successfully added clones and stages to it.  however clones freeze as soon as the match starts. (all of them ._.) its different from freezes i've had in the past, normally a broken character freezes in 3 locations

1) at the CSS, (bad config files usually)
2) at the results screen (usually when results data is wonky (I.E. many unused, or wrongly named)
3) final smashes. usually the final resources aren't set up (fit___final.pac)

this one is freezing as soon as the match starts. it counts down from 3 then gives a loud beep when it says "GO"

i'm gonna try a clean install, being i may have rushed and messed something up. i'll post the GCT later if anyone wants to test it.

Whoa. That's very strange, indeed. I have the 35 stage expansion on mine and i don't ever get freezes unless there are problems with the moveset. And what your going through sounds like what i had went through when i made a attempt to add brawl ex to 3.5. Only deleting the css codes and nothing else. I imagine that a clean install could help. I use your beta 3.5 gct(With Melee Airdodge) and i added the 35 stage expansion with no problem, so thats quite weird. i'll test out your gct if you post it.

Oh and omegafalcon, Did you have project M anywhere on your sd card before installing. If so, You have to fully erase any builds of PM before installing Project M D.I.Y.

Alright! So today i was able to fix the jab glitch!  Happy Face Turns out that project M changes some of the bit variables used in psa. All the characters i added weren't project m style, so they didn't use the correct bit variable in the attack 11 and 12 sections in their respective fighter.pac files. They used bit variable 16 and 22, while project m characters use 16 and 17. All i had to do was change 22 to 17. Also some of the variables were misplaced. But now their Jab combo works perfectly!   Grin

Alright. I'll keep a look out. Sirkura's Beta gcts both work flawlessly. Both the airdodge and non airdodge versions.(except for roy and mewtwo having glitches) And im sure the jab glitch is Project M's fault. Just thought i'd add some feedback.

thanks. i beleive it's the Rapid jab removal code, but i could be wrong. it's just an assumption. Hows the progress by the way? haven't had any activity in a while.

I don't think its really my movesets that i downloaded. every one of them that i downloaded had this problem. I believe its a code in the codeset messing up the jab combos, namely the one that removes the rapid jab, as it does this if you use a custom moveset even in the normal unmodded Project M.

There's a little question i have to ask about the clones. I noticed when doing their Neutral combo(A,A,A....) it doesn't work right. it doesn't always finish the combo, and it feels like you have to push the button on the last frame of the previous animation to continue the combo. Any ways to fix this by any chance?

Yea i had that roy freeze at the end of the match too. Was wondering what was going on. i noticed if you started the match, but don't move, then go back, it wont freeze, but a good set of attacks and movement and you get a freeze. Not really sure exactly whats going on with it. Never really tried mewtwo at all.

Sounds tempting. I wouldn't mind Helping and testing the game out at all. I can't code very well, nor am i great at Hex, but testing and finding cause and effect is something i'm good at. I would love to help! I really wanna see this update finished and future ones as well. Also like Daduckhuntdog said, im really experienced at brawl modding and Brawlex.

So i had looked inside of the common 2 inside the misc data 11(sora_Melee) section, and there are 6 sections with the rest being Null. Half of them contain nothing(some have all 0's) and some are full of numbers and letters. Sections 1, 3, and 6 have nothing(6 is full of 0's, 3 has about one line of 0's, and 1 is completely empty),so it can't be in those. Sections 2, 4, and 5 all have numbers and letters, so it has to be in one of those, but i have this weird feeling it's in section 5, but I'm not sure. i would help further, but im inexperienced in Hex, so this is how far i can go. I hope what i found can give you a good start.

Hmm i didn't see the whole sora thing till i had downloaded BB 0.75b. had been using 0.69. derp.  but ill check out the sections in there and experiment to see what needs to be patched. i hope i helped in any kind of form.

Yep it defiantly the Misc data 11. I took a clean common 2 file and took the Misc data 11 from the PM 3.5 Common 2 and placed it into the clean common 2, and it worked! I also used it with an older version of project D.I.Y and it worked as well. Has it worked for you yet, Sirkura?

No prob! i Took a quick peek to check to see, and i mostly seen misc data, but im 100% sure its the common 2. i took a common 2 from an older project m version and it changed to stage choice, then changed to the common 2 file from 3.5 and it became stamina type. The answer has to lie in those misc data's contents. i'll take a look as well.  

Edit: I freaking found it! It's misc data 11! take the misc data 11 from the 3.5 common 2 file and insert it in your common 2 file and it should load up.

Hello guys. I came hoping to shed some light on this project regarding the stamina codes. Im not sure if you guys know, but the stamina mode works perfectly.(at least it did for me.) The thing is that the stamina type section is completely removed when you go to the rules section at the top of the css in stamina mode, which You guys have seen already. but you can actually toggle stamina modes by altering the stage choice tab at the very bottom. Choose: type 1(Set knockback with blastzones), Random: type2(set knockback without blastzones), turns: type 3(Normal knockback without blastzones), ordered: type 4(Normal knockback with blastzones), and losers pick: type 5(Normal knockback no blastzones and fixed camera). the problem resides in the common 2 file, which has some menu graphics for the rules section. though im not sure what section of the common 2 tho, as i haven't looked in it at all yet. But it's no problem with the gct tho. Hope this helps!

could you be a little more specific? what Stage freezes? and if you want to mod, make sure the files go in their repective folders in projectm/pf. where you start depends on your preference, but remember not everything works with project m. Just tell me some things you need help with.

Question. also will it have Stamina Stock? instant download if it does. love the new stamina modes. makes fun battles.
