Yes, I've come off as a bastard for that but seriously --- if my example shows damned GIMP... GIMP works.

Huh, never knew that.
260  Help & Tutorials / Texture and Portrait Tutorials / Re: How to deal with Indexed Textures on: August 17, 2009, 01:16:16 PM
The difference is...

GIMP only stores necessary pallet data.
Photoshop stores all 256 values even if they aren't used; blank values are padding with data which is read as black in GIMP. (And this data is stored at the top of the file)

It's fully possible to use GIMP with everything texture wise... but ASH needs a modification.

So let me get this straight, if I don't want screwy Pika eyes, I have to spring for Photoshop?  not impressed

Are you blind? ARE YOU A MORON?

My first post clearly shows GIMP. -.-;;
262  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Do you enjoy making textures?? and for what character?? on: August 16, 2009, 08:41:11 PM
yeah i went into the double digits with my ASH folders...
I have one ASH folder per texture.

I guess that would technically explain my setup... but I only keep the folders, I remove the actual ASH components once I "finish" a texture.

Ash Folders: 2
Cupash Folders: 2 (One for experimenting)
STASH Folders: 2

Yes, I enjoy making textures --- but I also enjoy animating and annoying papersak... so I have to balance my time. Oh and school soon... and a job if I can ever find one. >.>;;

I usually try making textures for my mains.  but somehow have yet to actually make one for Wario... and yet have an abundance of  textures.

and Mario Bros. / 75m (for light characters)

Screenshots take up far less than a block.

As for saved to SD card...
SD:\private\wii\app\RSBE\al

They are bin files (hence the need for the decryptor).

It's pretty easy.

1) Screenshot.
2) Cut out all but the character (best with single color BG stages)
3) Paste into file
4) Index
5) Add magenta

 I see what you did there ...

Yes -_- ...i think

Stay out of topics you don't have a chance at understanding. Tongue

USB Gecko != Gecko OS, one is hardware, the other is software

I can't say I'm sure. I tried once but it kinda died on me...

Maybe it has to be done similar to how Final Smashes are? Setting a breakpoint for the data being overwritten and waiting for it to be hit? (I know final Smashes are picky in this regard, there is far more leeway with testing textures)

Really, I'd ask Igglyboo about this... but I haven't been on the chat in ages.

You sure you've got it named to match the correct color?

Usually a texture freezes when it doesn't work. Anyway... upload it and I'll test it out.
