I don't think they boot you off (it's not like there's someone monitoring all wifi fights lol) but you'll get disconnected if your copy of brawl is doing something your opponent's copy doesn't understand because your hacks don't match up. Does it only happen when you hit a smash ball? Try recreating the events happening right before you get disconnected offline and see if the game crashes/freezes. Maybe a texture is corrupt or something.

Its probably most likely the Smash ball, I have just tried playing free for all right now without the Smash ball on and I haven't been disconnected.
So this probably means the texture of the Smash Ball is corrupt?

Are you just using textures or are you using anything else that may affect the game (import stages, Brawl+, PSAs, etc.) The textures shouldn't kick you off Wi Fi (whoever you're playing won't see them mind you) but the other stuff will kick you off unless your opponent has the exact same thing.

I don't play on imported stages I only play on stages with just slight changes and I also use character Textures. I can understand that if I use something that can take advantage over Wi Fi, I can get booted or possibly banned if I were to do something really stupid. But I just don't understand why it disconnects me its most likely happens when i smash the Smash ball

well, the unique known problem is what the other player wouldnt see your stuff, like if you have a vertex hack, the other player wont be able of see it, thats all. but somehow, i have a little problem the other day, i tryed to play with a psa with a guy from another country and he said what his cd-reader of the wii doesnt works anymore, im not sure why this happened, but is better dont try to play online with brawl hacks

this only happens on free for all and on team. idk if it would affect setup matches through fc codes.

Love the Textures but oh well I guess. rather play online then to play alone .

Just wanted to know that if this is a problem or something that should be expected when using Brawl texture hacks. I do the usual load up Gecko OS (forgot the version ) start up the game and play brawl but as I connect to Wi-Fi and play a match with anyone who just happens to be playing I get disconnected and if I try to be apart of the spectators i get an error code.

Just wondering if thats normal because of messing with brawl or did i do something stupid  ?
