1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Project Concepts / Re: Brawl 4 (build has been removed) on: January 10, 2016, 12:58:33 AM
Considering the amount of work you put into it, combined with the fact that the hack is free and requires the original game to play it... I think it's fine to just leave the hack up even though there are some PM elements to it but the issue can be solved to me by giving everything proper credit and as someone said, it's fine as long as it doesn't enter the official tournament scene where Nintendo will most likely take notice.

It's weird news for me since hacks and mods have ALWAYS been in sort of a grey area in legality since while they are creative, everyone has brought up the usual info regarding how it still uses characters and settings not owned by the modder in question.

I know this news has shaken a lot of people but regardless, I don't think it's a reason to stop or halt a mod over. As I've said, there has already been enough done to change it and it wasn't even based completely on PM in the first place. It used the launcher sure but even then, a lot of people (myself included) use the launcher anyways since it's way easier to use when compared to stuff such as Gecko.

Granted I understand how some people can be about modding but I'll be honest... I've always HATED that stance taken by people. Yes, theft is wrong and we should be shaming it but considering how most people don't even use the content of others to profit from it but rather it's because they just love the work so much that they want to show their support for it.

I've always loved this pack since if anything, it gave me the perfect taste of everything that I wanted in a Smash Bros game AND it gave me a perfect glimpse of the capabilities of BrawlEx. Granted I felt this newest release was a little weaker with plenty of bugs that did frustrate me along with the fact that I felt we had a perfect roster only for it to then be overwhelmed by too much DBZ but regardless, this was the pack me and my friends had the MOST fun with.

I personally hope this does get released again but if not then I understand but regardless, I consider your work to be one that uses content right in that it actually does something a bit different with it without taking the credit from the people who actually made this.

I'm wondering, what is Goku's sound ID? I'm trying to replace him completely with the Calikingz moveset.
