1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Can I import animations from 3DS max into brawlbox? on: July 16, 2016, 07:27:31 PM
I notice that brawlbox is capable of importing animation files in formats .anim and .json. Is it possible to export files from 3DS max in these formats? I have some models with animations that I ripped from an old dreamcast game, and I'd like to just import the animations into brawlbox without having to remake them from scratch. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but the gist of my question is this: can I get animations from max into brawlbox?

According to this: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=210715 ,  I should "read the original BeX thread before using or reporting, many issues can be addressed there: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=65113.0 " aaaaaand that link goes to this thread. So here I am. =)

Hey, I recently downloaded brawlex + pm (v.0.5) and I noticed a funny bug with game and watch. he can't do his rapid jab attack. I tried other characters with rapid jabs (link and pit) and theirs work just fine. Anybody know what the deal is...?
4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Problem with transparent textures on my stage on: June 27, 2016, 05:23:48 PM
Hi guys. I'm working on a stage which is going to have some fire shimmering in front of it in certain areas. But I am having great difficulty making the fire texture behave how I want it to. It is showing up in front of things it shouldn't, and behind things it shouldn't. Look at these pictures:

you can see that the fire is showing up in front of the rings each flame is supposed to be inside.

...and yet, bewilderingly, it shows up behind characters.

Here are what my material settings look like in brawlbox:

I have tried messing with the depth settings under Z mode, but to no avail. Setting "EnableDepthUpdate" to true makes the flames display with proper depth, but makes them lose their transparency (characters and special effects like fire cannot be seen behind them).
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Is it possible to achieve this effect in BrawlBox? on: June 26, 2016, 10:08:26 AM
Thanks man, but I figured it out using a different method. It actually turned out to be pretty easy. As long as the material was set to show any alpha less than 128 as transparent, mixing those two textures in an SRT animation produced exactly the effect I wanted.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Is it possible to achieve this effect in BrawlBox? (solved) on: June 21, 2016, 11:43:41 PM
Hi guys. So here's the deal. I have this texture (note the transparent areas):

and I want to use an SRT animation to give this a metallic, shimmering appearance.  So what I want to do is take this second texture...

...and put it in motion over *Just the opaque* areas of the first texture. That will create this (but in motion of course):

Is there some kind of material or shader setting I can use to achieve this effect? The goal is to have the magic symbol shimmer while leaving the areas of transparency as they are.
7  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Music & SFX / Is it possible to add sound effects to custom stages? (answered) on: February 28, 2016, 08:33:23 AM
By sound effects I mean things like the sound of cars zooming by on the F-zero stages, the lights turning on and off on Frigate Orpheon, etc. Can effects like these be added to custom stages?

(answered on smashboards. The short answer is "No"
