16  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Previewer - Attempted to read or write protected memory on: April 22, 2012, 02:43:18 PM
Thanks. I have tried running BrawlBox 0.63d's previewer without .NET 4, but the result was the same.

I also used the tool to check if the installation was ok. It was. I uninstalled every .NET version from my PC anyway and installed 3.5 all again, which also brings 2.0 and 3.0 in. With or without language packets, still didn't work.

Does anyone have a solution?

I've been trying to get back into modding since a while and I set up .NET Framework and similar crap on my freshly installed system. BrawlBox's 0.63d previewer worked after I uninstalled language packs for .NET Framework.

That was a few weeks ago, right now I can't run it again, receiving the same error message, nearly identical to one present in that thread: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=8513.0
The difference is that uninstalling language packets didn't help this time.

That's what happens when I try to open any model in 0.63d's previewer. In case of newer BrawlBox versions by BlackJax, there is only "BrawlBox v0.6something has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I also tried updating graphic card drivers and .NET Framework, but these didn't help either. I'd be glad if anyone provided a solution that worked. Thanks in advance.

edit: I'm using Windows XP with updates installed.

lol thanks. I'm unable to use BrawlBox's previewer because of problems with .NET framework.

Try using a new image file, it occurred rather randomly iirc.

I'm sooo going to use the Spider-man pack when I get an opportunity to get back into Brawl modding. Thank you for this.

Thanks for comments. I'll make sure to fix up the voiceless version in middle January. Also, thanks Carnage.

I'll make a PAL version of PSA and both SFX packs in mid-January.

Dunno if it will help, but add _en to the filename, so it's common3_en.pac instead of common3.pac.

Thanks for opinions guys, I'll port the PSA to PAL once v3 when my winter break starts (middle of January).

Can you make a brasr tutorial for the orginal method to hex edit the files with hxd?
Open brsar in a hex editor, go to the provided offset, paste the hex packet with overwriting old data and it's done. No tutorial needed.

Yes, it was mentioned you can't temporarily upload audio mods. You're not banned, it will get fixed that soon.

I lost a lot of motivation since ssbbtailsfan left, but the V2 version is finally up.
Most of the glitches are fixed and the PSA plays a lot better than V1. Many animations were improved too (some still need to be and if you want to help, then be my guest).
Also, Reaver Ind. delivered a second SFX pack for those who prefer Tails' voice from Sonic Colors.

Ninja pin, Lurker Award

Has, say, 30/40/50+ hours of online time, but under 2000 posts (includes Off Topic posts).

Pretty tricky to get mind.  I don't think anyone would actually have this award....
50h and 2000 posts? It would be hard NOT to get.
