271  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Miles "Tails" Prower over MK v1 on: August 02, 2011, 10:25:26 AM
Also, if you want to see more possible moves you could take a look at Sonic Battle, if you haven't already.
Yes, I did. That's where the NSpecial and partially SSpecial come from. I'll try to replace the FTilt and UTilt with moves from that game too (but those may be too complex to redo really faithfully).
272  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Miles "Tails" Prower over MK v1 on: August 02, 2011, 10:14:14 AM
Yes, it's based on nothing.
Tails has never used it in any games..
I dislike it for that reason.. Don't get me wrong - It's a great idea for a move.
But I feel if you're going to place a pre-existing character into Brawl.. then you must base their moves on things they already do.
I don't know.. that's just my opinion.
That move in particular was based on SSBC. It fits the mechanical stuff Tails usually has (which recent Brawl movesets for some reason lack) and adds variety to the moveset (you can't smash things with your tails forever), so it's there.

Also, I don't remember Captain Falcon landing fiery punches in F-Zero

I'll probably lay my hands on Sonic the Fighters soon, so expect some moves to get replaced.

FAir is one of my favorite moves, I dunno why you dislike it. Can you explain?

and yes.
274  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Miles "Tails" Prower over MK v1 on: August 02, 2011, 09:46:01 AM
Thanks for feedback guys.
- Jumps. We have considered having two instead of six, but we thought Tails would be better as multi-jumper. We may think about reducing the number to five, but generally I see no problem with that now.
- Jab. I think this one will get changed, but I'm not sure yet.
- Animations. We have tried the best we could to make them look good. I will attempt to improve the mid-air jump animation, but seeing the Up B is flight, I don't see much room to improve, as it shouldn't be too similar to Up B.
- Final Smash is not decided yet ;p
- About the model. I thought about using the other one, but we decided to stay with Brawl one, even though it has no finger bones. There are some reasons for that.

Thanks
Maybe sometime later. This version isn't final and changing SFX ids takes a while.

Special thanks to:
diedhammer98 - I wouldn't do ChuChus if it weren't for his bob-omb mods
EternalYoshi - grab glitch fix help
Mr.Weegee - Tails over Sonic creator
Pik - smexy Tails texture
Pixels - smexy CSP stuff
Raijinmaru (Reaver Ind.) - second voice pack
snoopy - model swapping tutorial

Some of the moves are loosely based on Tails moveset in SSB Crusade - a SSB fangame.

THE MOVESET
Jab - Tails continuously spins around, hitting enemies with his tails (like after obtaining Rhythm Badge in SA). He stops when player releases the A button. Each hit deals a little damage with fixed knockback.

FTilt - Triple hit combination - two slices finished with a sissy-like dart. Note that you have to keep pressing A to do the whole move.
- no new screenshot yet -

UTilt - Tails spawns a mechanical glove at his wrist. More damage is dealed when an enemy is hit by the glove.
- no new screenshot yet -

DTilt - Tails takes out his wonderful gun and zaps the foe with a shot of electricity. The slowest of his tilts.

FSmash - Miles executes a powerful Tail Swipe on the enemy in front of him.

USmash - A poor soul above the two-tailed hero, who does a handstand, is hit a few times with his tails. Although the damage may seem to be a little small, this smash has quite a big range.

DSmash - Tails begins to spin around, sucking his competitors in, and then launching in the air.

Dash Attack - A dropkick.

NAir - Tails spins around a few times, hitting the foes with his body. First hit is stronger than other ones.

FAir - Mighty hit inspired by SSBC.

BAir - Tails prevents surprise buttsecks zaps the intruder who wanted to attack him from behind.

UAir - Tails hitting attack. Last hit is stronger than others.

DAir - Single tails hit below Miles. Sends the foe (almost) straight down to hell, but other than that, it's a pretty weak attack.

Pummel - A weak knee hit.

FThrow - Thunder Shoot. Opponent is launched forward. It's a good move to use when you're holding a bad guy and more are coming.
- no new screenshot yet -

BThrow - Tails turns around, zaps the victim 3 times and releases him.

UThrow - Miles jumps with foe in his hands and lands, throwing him.

DThrow - 4 tails hits (2% each) ended with a throw.

NSpecial - An electrical pseudo-projectile. It's pretty quick and is always shot to the front. It can be used only once in mid-air, second try results in DSpecial.

DSpecial - Tails places an explosive Bob-Omb (reminiscent of a ChuChu) in front of him. That little pest walks around till it meets anyone (including his father) or it's timer reaches zero. Either way, it explodes. In mid-air, Tails is put into special fall after the move.

I couldn't get the vertex to work, so yeah.

USpecial - Flight, simply said. Tails flies up for a little while, player can control him with his control stick. After that, he goes into the special fall state. Miles is completely defenseless while this special lasts, so it has to be used with care.

SSpecial - Spindash! But, this one is more similar to Captain Falcon's Raptor Boost than Sonic's spindash. Tails rolls up into a ball and spins his way through for a short distance. If an enemy stumbles upon our hero, he gets hit and Tails has an option to quickly do another attack (don't worry though, you can use the spindash only once before landing - you can't spam your enemy to oblivion). However, if it misses, Tails goes into special fall state and dies in a gruesome way if he flied out of the stage.

Final Smash - Super Tails! Tails launches two flickies upwards, next another pair appears, but flies to the sides of screen. If your opponent has damage, it's pretty much his end.
- no screenshot yet-

Moves above may be a subject to change.

PROBLEMS

As of V2, there are only minor item-related problems left, the biggest one being Cracker Launcher not held right. No freezes.

279  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: DAE to MDL0 Conversion: Testing model rebuilder for errors. on: July 30, 2011, 03:26:06 PM
I could have promised they have an identical grass-based grid-less stage minus the background in Bomberman Blast. But it's old news anyway, information about MDL0s in Bomberman Blast has been here for a long time.
280  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: DAE to MDL0 Conversion: Testing model rebuilder for errors. on: July 30, 2011, 03:19:17 PM
Old news, there is even a Bomberman Blast based stage somewhere around here.

Nope.

I may enter KCMM IRC if you want, though.

You had 16000 frequency on Wiimote sample?  Undecided Get rid of that and test, hopefully will work.
283  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Sawndz 0.11 on: July 30, 2011, 02:37:56 AM
It's up to you which to cut.

Personally, I'd begin with Bowser one
284  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Sawndz 0.11 on: July 30, 2011, 02:13:58 AM
The samples which sound horrible after frequency lowering, trim them. Others, lower the frequency. SFX should return after it's done. If they don't, do further cuts. Repeat till they return.
285  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Sawndz 0.11 on: July 30, 2011, 02:07:01 AM
I think you should start cutting or lowering frequency of your announcer samples. As far as I know, things get mute when you have too much stuff.
