SmashBox 0.57 is what you need. As far as I know, you can run it on newer systems, you just can't have 64-bit ones. Even if that doesn't work, you can use BrawlBox to listen to sounds, it's just a bit harder.

I think people going prefered more import model applying into Brawl model. The vertex going die and the stage builder too. With the newest Brawlbox that should be more easy maybe for the vertex but no one don't care cause the model DAE to Mdl0.
Someone has to get those model to work well in Brawl, you know.

Geez, why do stage modders and vertexers think this will be so effortless to use? No, it will be not. So please stop whining and wait till it's released and then your modding will get a bit easier too. Newbies will have hard time using it, so it's not like your work will become worthless in a single second. It will be still appreciated by many.

then please explain to me why my (hacked) characters have no voice w/o the sfx file on the SD.

I'm waisting space on my SD because I have to have it with my hacked chars
(the unhacked chars work just fine w/o the sfx file)

All about modded movesets. smashbros_sound.brsar does not control when sound effects are played. If maker of moveset decided to remove all Sound Effect events and change SFX ids in Tabuu, the modded character will have no voice.

Also, why would you use latest FPC? As far as I've heard, it supports SFX, but is very unstable.

You need to manually apply all of the Tabuu and hex fixes to Toon Link authors applied to Pit, then manually copy every single event from Pit PSA to Toon Link - also do the same to attributes. Jab and specials will most likely require more effort from you to work correctly. Then import the costumes and animations properly. And in the end, fix all of the glitches that may have appeared in meantime.

Long story cut short, you need to remake the entire PSA using Pit one as reference.

Will probably work, but there is no warranty, as I haven't seen anybody doing that before.

also, I didn't look into the Pit PSA, so I don't know if what MarioDK says is actually true.

It's possible to manually remake Waluigi over almost everybody else.

But it requires a lot more effort than just renaming the files.
