So if we are using something like rshoulderjb to replace rshouldern to move the arm bones into his body some, we delete the original rshouldern and after making rshoulderjb the new parent rename it to rshouldern?

you shouldn't delete bones, that'll throw off the ThrowN index and cause freezing issues.  you could make the RShoulderJb the direct child of the RShoulderN, with having the RArmJ as the child of the Jb bone, rename it to something else, then move it in a bit.

Also, we move the bones using xtranslations will moving any of the children that have a new bone as a parent mess up anything?

yep, just move them using the Translations.  once you rename the bones, they'll stay right where they are.  and yes, it'll move all the children it has with it.  it won't mess anything up, as long as the new parent doesn't move.

Lastly if i were to rename one of the tail bones rarmj and i still had rarmj in effect there would be nothing wrong?

nope, it actually won't mess up anything.  i had to do that with my Klonoa, and that's when i learned that bones can have the same name.  they'll just have the same movements applied when the animations are.

it's not so much that the bones need to be completely unused, it's more that you won't be rigging them to the new model. 

so for example, you could easily use Ness's Mouth bones, CapJ, RWaistNb and LWaistNb, and probably even the WaistNb for the tail.  that's 7 bones that you could use for the tail.  and if you want some movement for it, after you position the bones, you can rename them to match other bones, like the LArmJ for example, and it'll use the same rotations and stuff but applied to the tail.

and if you need any help with the bone edits, i'd be happy to help.  bone edits can be a bit tricky sometimes.

he has been on my to do list for waaaaay too long.  seriously, he was on my 'To Vertex' list, and that was over a year ago now. 

so a bit about him.  first off, i went more for the Super Star look, not the Return to Dreamland look.  he was just too short and fat for my tastes.  also because of the way TL works, i couldn't make the eyes turn yellow, so i made the shoes turn yellow instead.  he has full blinking, and 3 out of 8 mouths.  a lot of TL's mouths are about the same, so i cheated a little and just used the same mouth for a few of them.  also, bone edits to make TL shorter.  a few of the attacks may be slightly off because of it, but it really shouldn't make a difference.

and i'll have Mimi and O'Chunks out soon....  just not sure exactly when.

always changing the texture format to CMPR doesn't always fix this type of issue.  usually does, but still.  if the texture is of CI4/CI8 or another texture that creates a palette, you need to make sure the Material is set to use the palette, otherwise the textures will freak out. 

go to the Material of the objects that are freaking out, and expand it to see the references.  click the name that corresponds to the texture, and look at the very top, in the Misc section.  it'll say Texture, then Palette.  if the texture format creates a palette, then you need to change the Palette to match the Texture.  once it has the right Palette in it, it should work just fine.

Zelda and Sheik it is.  i liked the idea of the spider for the transform, and i got the spider to look pretty good for about half of the animations.

so it seems about half and half for Zelda and Peach...  my initial thought was someone like Lucas, but hey.  i don't really know what i'd use for the Side Smash weapons if i put her on Peach... plus like was mentioned, i could put her on Zelda and this on Sheik



yes, custom model making is quite fun indeed.  of course, if i put the spider form on Sheik, it'd basically be a quick lazy rig, as in a lot of it to the HipN bone or whatever, because that would never fit Sheik properly.  but i do like the idea of having the pair together like that.

Ed should go on Luigi because they're both pretty clumsy, and I think Luigi's moves would fit Ed, Eddy should go over Mario, mainly because they're about the same height if you comapre mario to Luigi and Eddy to Ed. And I think Eddy should be an All-Around kind of character, which is what Mario is....and because Mario is the character I use the most. lol


right, it was you.  it had been months, so i couldn't quite remember.  i was actually thinking of Eddy on Mario, but mainly because of the Up B.  yes, COINS.  Ed, if i put him on Luigi, Edd would be taller because Luigi is shorter than Link, so i dunno.  i was thinking Ike for Ed, but i will see about Luigi.

Ms Pacman was an idea someone gave me a while ago, just after i did Pacman.  i can't remember who, but it's been sitting around basically done for 2 months now.  Jack is for the Halloween contest, plus just for more Animal Crossing hacks.  yes, i really like AC.  and the HAMmer was a random late night idea.  those can be scary at times, but this one made me laugh just a little too much, so i had to do it.

as for what's next... i really only have O'Chunks left.  it's just weird to have an empty queue.  i have a few models i would like opinions on though.  i'm going to make a Mimi model, t-pose Tiny's Brawl trophy, and i have the Ed and Eddy models from Fusion Fall.  i have ideas on who to put them over, but nothing solid.  so who do you think these guys should go on?

glad you guys like them.  i kind of had them ready for a while, but then Pokemon Black 2 was released.  i beat it a few days ago, and suddenly my hacking mood is back.  not sure how that one happened   Roll Eyes

Ah, I see you even went through the extra effort to convert his RtDL hammer model for the Jet Hammer, unlike the one I had originally thought of working on (which was just a recoloured DeDeDe hammer). Props to you for that. Smiley

yeah, turned out to be pretty easy.  figured that i'd include something that required effort, since he doesn't have eyes and stuff.

gengar looks nice xD also snoopy ridley psa is getting close to an end when i get the FS and up B done i will release a beta hopping this inspires you to fo meta ridley or other m ridley xD

right, i did say that for MetaRidley...  the Other M Ridley isn't happening, the neck is actually really short, and would require further edits, which i really don't feel like doing.

Can't wait to do some bonking with Bonkers. Awesome Face

indeed we do.  and like i said earlier, i am considering doing Mimi as well, since she hasn't been done yet.  i just need a little more time to see how she'll work, and think of who she'll go over...


also, i might actually have a few more hacks done in the next few days, because they've been sitting around almost completely done just waiting for me to stop being lazy.

yep, Leaf is finally done.  Seth included some other stuff too, which is why i didn't release her a week or so ago.

and once i stop being lazy i'll finish up the rest of my stuff...  and once i finish Pokemon Black 2.  it's just so much fun...

y'know, i didn't even think of doing that.  i may try this out and see if it works, because as you said, it'd be a lot easier and i wouldn't have to worry about the MotionEtc at all.  but as

he said, i'm not quite sure when i'd flatten him.  well, most likely after rigging, that way the rig itself should be better. 

What more can you do with the textures? He looks perfect like that. Now someone needs to make Mimi. xD

and thanks for thinking this looks perfect, but i'm sure that Nah could make them a lot better.  and i might make Mimi as well, she was pretty funny too.
