1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Stage Expansion Music on: April 07, 2012, 03:56:57 PM
Hi, I was wondering how you add separate music to STGCUSTOM stages. I'm sick of hearing the Battlefield songs on them.
I noticed there was a program you can use, but my PC's too old to use it.

Problem was solved.
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / How to add to Riivolution xmls? on: January 21, 2012, 12:56:42 PM
Hi, I've been wanting to use the individual victory theme code with Riivolution, but in order to do so I must edit file paths in my .xml file. I've been searching around on how to do this, but I haven't had any success. Could somebody please help me?
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Need A File that Won't Open in Mediafire on: January 19, 2012, 03:40:10 PM
Earlier, I decided that I'd like to use my GCT file in Riivolution so I could also have SFX hacks working too. However, I checked out "The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking," and one of the files was located in a folder on Mediafire that wouldn't open. I was hoping someone could upload a new one (I believe the file I'm looking for was called RSBE.zip) for me. The link is located below.

This app works like the File Patch code, but it can be used for any game and any file. The only downside is that it is a little more complicated than the File Patch code. You can either use this or the File Patch code to load files for Brawl.
*Note* For Riivolution, ALL files must be named EXACTLY as they are on the ISO. (Ex. For the file "mu_menumain_en.pac", you must remove the "_en" to use it with the File Patch code, but you must keep it to use it with Riivolution.

1. Download the latest version of Riivolution from here: http://rvlution.net/riivolution.zip.
2. Extract it to somewhere on your computer.
3. Download the File Patch XML for Brawl here: http://rvlution.net/riivolution/images/5/5c/SSBBfiles.xml. (This is so that you can place files where they would go if you were using the File Patch code, since most people provide instructions based on that.)
4. Copy the "riivolution" folder out of the "apps" folder on your computer and paste it into the "apps" folder on your SD Card.
5. Create a folder on the root of your SD Card called "riivolution" and copy and paste the File Patch XML into there.
6. If you want to use codes along with Riivolution, follow the steps below. (Skip to step 14 if you've already followed the instructions for Gecko OS above.)
7. Create a folder on the root of your SD Card called "codes".
8. Download the Code Manager here: http://www.mediafire.com/?e2dzz7zdmcds252.
9. Extract it somewhere on your computer.
10. Open the Code Manager. Look to where it says "Game ID". Fill this in with the ID of the game you are making the codes list for. (Ex. Brawl's ID is RSBE01 for NTSC-U, RSBP01 for PAL, and RSBJ01 for NTSC-J) Go to where it says "Game Name" and type in the name of the game.
11. Find the codes that you want to use. A couple of good sites to check out are http://geckocodes.org/ and http://board.gscentral.org/forum.php.
12. To add a code, click on "Add a code/comment/category" and type in a name for the code. It should appear in bold. Click on it, then copy and paste the code into where it says "Code contents". Make sure to click "Store modifications" after you paste in the code.
13. When you are done adding codes, go to File > Save as TXT File. Then, make sure your SD Card is in the computer and click "Export to GCT". Select the drive for your SD Card and click on "Store".

14. Go to here: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=6124ef087d03b5a9819d3eb78bf1479d79557004672710560cf82e11d2b2bd8465b36d064e4faac5a2a7740380de0aff and download the file for your disc region.
15. Extract it onto your computer and move both files to the "riivolution" folder on the root of your SD Card.

I'm not even sure what the file does; although, I'm not new to Riivolution. I hope someone could help...
EDIT: Strangely enough, Mediafire is running again...
4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Xxerox9009's PSA ideas on: October 22, 2010, 11:59:02 AM
Alright.  I have no idea how to make PSAs, and I've had some good ideas for some for a little while now.  I hope someone could create these PSAs, or texture/vertex hacks if needed.  But basically I just want some PSAs (I'm trying not to sound demanding, ehehehe).

Idea 1: Megaman X

Unsure who to put over; Diddy Kong?  Samus?

A(Neutral): A Punch, AA Punch Punch, AAA Punch Punch Kick, AAAA Punch Punch Kick Punch(Downwards)

A(Forward): X throws his fist in the direction he's facing with electrical damage.

A(Down): X crouches and turns left to fire three bullets (See B(Neutral)) then turns right and fires three more.

A(Up): X punches into the air (see Super Smash Flash 2 http://www.mcleodgaming.com/viewflash.php?id=6&type=game).

B(Neutral): Chargeable Mega-buster - Basically the super scope.  When fully charged acts as the charged Z-Buster from Eldiran's Zero v1.4 PSA hack (http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=8171211&postcount=3).

B(Up): Same as Lucario's; no aura

B(Forward): Same as Eldiran's Zero v1.4 PSA.

B(Down): Weapon Switch - (Idea from Super Smash Flash 2) Switches B Neutral attack to different ones each time it is clicked.  Switches between Ground Fire (X makes a line of flames across the ground that lasts for maybe 2 seconds), Spike ball (X throws the spiky item; must recharge each time - 5 seconds to charge), Missiles (X fires a missile like Samus' from his Mega-Buster; must recharge each time for about 2-3 seconds) and Z-Saber (X pulls out Zero's Z-Saber. Eldiran's Zero PSA A Neutral combo attack; a little weaker).  Then switches back to normal B neutral attack.

Smash(Forward): X throws a hard punch in the direction he's facing (fire damage included).

Smash(Up): X shoots a small ball of electricity upwards.  If held down (charged), It becomes bigger and more powerful.

Smash(Down): Same as Mario.

Air(Neutral): Wing Spiral - X spins in a complete circle. (See Super Smash Flash 2)

Air(Up): X shoots one bullet upwards (See B(Neutral).

Air(Down): X pauses in mid air and shoots an electric wave (Faces downwards; doesn't move.  See Super Smash Flash 2).

Air(Forward): Same as Mario.

Final Smash:  Similar to R.O.B.'s; X obtains the Ultimate Armor and holds his Mega-Buster out that rapidly fires uncharged bullets and every second fires a missile.  In this state, X can't be damaged, he can only run and jump and if you touch him you won't be sent flying but you will take damage (a very very small amount).  It is only temporary, and you can't stop firing until the Final Smash ends.

Bonus:
Running/Dash A Attack: X slides in the direction he's facing to ram an opponent. Looks like this:

X gets two jumps, but you jump again he hovers in place for one second.
Like Eldiran's Zero PSA, he can slide on walls and climb them by jumping.
X can run while charging his Mega-Buster.

Credits to Eldiran and McLeod Gaming.

Idea 2: Paper Mario

Over Maro.

Keep everything the same; except B could be changed to a chargeable hammer attack, in-air-A(down) could be a ground pound and B(down) could be the original one from Melee; similar to Luigi's.

Idea 3: Shadow (Shadow the Hedgehog for PS2 style)

Over Donkey Kong or Sonic, I don't really care.

I wouldn't mind having a Shadow PSA that uses guns instead of Chaos attacks.  Chaos Control and Chaos Spear makes for a nice Final Smash, though.

More ideas to come!  I've just spent a LONG time typing all of this and don't feel like adding more right now.
