Also, now that I look at the Melee one and yours side by side (or on top of each other) I see that the base of the stage should be made longer. Like right now, it looks like a bowl when it should be more like a cup, if you get what I mean. And those fins extending from the pole at the bottom should curve over more.
Not big deals at all and I would be satisfied with how it is now. But just pointing it out.
Seems those would both be fixed by a tweak of the Y-scale. Doesn't seem such a big deal, though.
-snip- this looks amazing! the turtle is going to be hard though, unless if you import it after converting it to obj.
Yeah, the turtle would even be hell to get from the original game, as I'd have to get the model and convert it, while the conversion has a 90% failure rate. And also I don't have 3DS.
Maybe. Sounds like a fun concept, though I have a few other projects.
So.... new stage:
Zelda OoT - Fairy Fountain The Fairy Fountain (Not Great Fairy Fountain) from OoT! Done as a request. Includes animated fairies and water. There are 4 versions (check the file names):
Normal6pillar (as shown in the picture) Normal4pillar (with the front 2 pillars removed for better camera) NoFairies6pillar (No fairies, all 6 pillars) NoFairies4pillar (No fairies, front 2 pillars removed)
I'm totally getting this once it's released. Screw Green Greens.
While we're at it, screw 75m, Luigi's Mansion, New Pork (Random stage parts, and Mother 3 deserves better), Rumble Falls, Distant Planet, Big Blue, The Summit, Hannenbow, Flatzone2... I think that cover's all of the universally hated stages.
FoD is looking good, I just have a quick comment. I think that you should do a FF7 stage after you finish all of your current stages. We seriously have like... 3. And yet we have over 9000 Clouds.
yes yes and yes all of those maps suck. its funny how we make better stages than the people who made the game O.o
And if we knew the specifics of the stage format, we could make stages MUCH better.
Basically, there's a flat plain with 2 castles on it, facing each other. At the top of these castles are two flags. You have to hit these flags to "Get" them (hopefully only one hit will be needed, if I can modify that) then run back to your own castle, hit a switch on the bottom floor that has had a barrier around it lifted when you get the flag, and that's how one team gets a point. A large "Team X got a point" sign will appear at the middle line when this happens.
3 - A question: Would you guys like a capture the flag type stage? I think it might be possible over Skyworld, but a score system is impossible, so you'd have to keep track yourself. It would take some work, though, so..... should I try or no?
Hmm. Really dark, has 1 texture blasting out? That's Final Destination Lighting. Use my template, it has better lighting: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5869687/STGTEMPLATE.pac (Goes over Final destination, but without the weird lighting)
