I think I found bit shift flags for the "lights" region of materials (which controls diffuse/ambient/specular lighting, etc), which is currently mostly unknown. I'll see if I can figure it out and release Brawlbox before tomorrow. I'm not gonna bother with the SCN0 thing, I don't think it will be too much of a big deal.
SCN0 could wait, at any rate. Releasing the new Brawlbox and getting feedback will help you move forward anyways.

It's a nice thought, but I don't think the community Brawlbox could be better than the Wii dev kit that made these files in the first place... it could be an equal, but how could it be better or do anything the dev kits couldn't?
1 - it's a program for hacking games 2 - the game data the program uses 3 - we're not supposed to know the SDK contents, so the programming used in itself [/cheap shot]

I don't think any of that is illegal. We're allowed to modify files we have, sometimes that's against a license terms and agreement but that's not the law and we didn't sign any to play Brawl. We're allowed to have the game files from the discs on our computers, it's the same files, and knowing programming languages certainly isn't against the law.
What IS illegal is getting the game files that you don't own, but most of us here own Brawl. That's why everything except iso sharing is allowed.

SRT0 unknoqnes still aren't showing any results, not with Spycloak anyways, and none of Nymph's TvC stages save SRT0 data properly (I can't seem to find the float values of the 15756 unknown for some reason) Meta Ridley and Tabuu are the last hopes for now.
I can't wait, especially if it helps Brawl's mdl0 format a bit. One hunch I have is to search that Trace trophy, that misrendered trophy is just asking for an examination.
The version I have (0.65b Beta) crashes upon loading files (from Mario Kart Wii) that have SRT0 and PAT0 files in them. Something about having SRT0, PAT0 and V11 MDL0s in there at the same time. It's making it difficult to modify character models. Was this fixed already?
I can get around it by deleting the SRT0s and the PAT0s using CTools, but then Koopa Troopa loses his texture animations.
Edit: And importing a DAE never works.
I've had similar cases with PAT0, but not with SRT0 or any other version models. Would it work if you only deleted the PAT0 but left the SRT0?
ill probably start on the psa for spike soon. im not sure what to do for the specials/fs so all ideas are welcome. i think i will do some base animations in brawlbox just to get a base for the psa and let somepony with animation skill do the final ones in max or something.
Seems good. If you want advice for attacks then I'll probably be sending you a few moveset ideas here and there, although right now I can only think that I didn't rig him well enough to have such an in-depth PSA...
