Why? I strongly prefer going through each object and using the optimize button, as I can see exactly how much the original point count has been decreased (or increased, which is bad) before the optimization is applied, and I don't have to set up the model's materials and shaders again.
Unless you're also talking about cutting down the influence/node count, which in that case yes you should definitely export and reimport the model.
You're welcome everyone. It was actually pretty tough, I think it took me about a straight week (doing nothing but coding) to finish it. I was working in correspondence with the PMBR so it should be pretty much bug free; I think there's just one minor bug left that I need to address.

Depends on what you think is high poly or not - This doesn't mean you can suddenly import anything you want. It only about halves the amount of data sent to the GPU. After optimizing my Yoko and Purple Heart imports, they still lag the game just a tiny bit if you use four of them at once. I wouldn't even consider those models high poly under modern circumstances, so you should still try to optimize the vertex count as much as you can beforehand still.

I can't change the changelog on every release ever on everyone's computers anywhere just to remove that part.
And that's why this thread was going to be locked. Now I'm starting to think it's a good idea, as this thread is now pointless for bug reports and whatnot.
