You say MDW a lot, I think you mean MDL0. Like Here "First open "ModelData[100]", then open "3DModel(NW4R)", the MDW file "StgPosition""
STGPosition is a MDL0 file. All model files are MDL0's, I never heard of a MDW file.

If you have a sc_selcharacter_en.pac (The en may be different for non NTSC regions) in your SD card that may be the issue. Replace it with a new one. It may not be compressed right or be corrupt. If you don't have one try removing all hacks but one character hack. If it doesn't freeze add another character. Doesn't freeze again add another. Do this until it freezes. If it never freezes put a different type of hack (music, stage, effect, etc) in and repeat the process. Tedious yes but it can tell you what file is messing it up.
228  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: Video Tutorials **Tutorial On Stage Effects Is Next** on: November 19, 2012, 11:53:19 AM
I have a whole 8 days of break for Thanksgiving, so I might make more then one tutorial this week. The first on stage effects, it will cover lighting, fog, shadows, SPTM, and giving one stages scene data to a different stage. If I can make a second it'll be on models from other games to stages. Have a good Thanksgiving America. (This is an American only holiday like 4th of July right?)
229  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: How to hack Super Smash Bros Brawl (For newbies) on: November 19, 2012, 11:47:17 AM
wow i wish i had a tutorial like this when i was a noob, took me for ever to hack my wii, really nice job
Same, I used banner bomb and though it was easy after getting started no one linked to the files. Plus I had to manually set the file structure. What ever happened to Brawl Plus? They used to have a file like that but the download wasn't there when I needed it. Sad
230  Help & Tutorials / Stage Tutorials / Re: <VIDEOS> Stage Hacking Video Tutorial Series **Placing And Animating Models** on: October 31, 2012, 08:22:48 PM
I am a male. I'm straight. It was a joke.

I hit puberty late as well.
I figured it was a joke but just wanted to be sure you weren't a girl so I didn't give the wrong message. Believe me it takes something really mean in perticular subjects to really upset me. That is NOT an invitation or an excuse to purposely insult me. But anyway I'm remaking the tutorial because most of it was repeating the first stage tutorial and cutting that out would make it choppy and hard to follow. Toon out. *drops mic*
P.s. Halo 4 is almost here, if you're getting it tell me and we could co-op the campain. My gamertag is unscSpArTaN44. If you're in send a friend request and say you saw this post.

I don't know, I couldn't sit through that if I were trying to learn, he has a point.  Maybe a written tutorial?
Well I find I can explain better in video form. Plus I heard a guy who sounded like a badger with a sines infection, it was not the best voice but he knew what he was talking about, that's why you take the good with the bad. And in my defense I hit puberty late and my voice is still changing. 16 years old and not done with puberty, not very good to have in 10th grade. As for LegacyWolf, meh closes thing someone said to me in a while that had a sexual tone. Not exactly the gender I would like it to come from, but oh well. (You are a male right? Don't want to have confused you with some one else.) Oh and new video made it's nice and long for you NaOh.

234  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / Re: How to Port Characters the .rel way on: October 22, 2012, 02:41:57 PM
Hey, I was wondering if you would be able to explain porting rels to me a little more in-depth? I read the tutorial thoroughly, and watched the video, but I'm still rather confused. I understood up to the point where you open two rels, one that's modified and one that's vanilla.

I have a marth character mod that's currently on Marth that I wish to port over to Diddy, so wouldn't I just open the two rels in HxD and compare bytes? I get confused at this point when you go to the modules page on the wiki and choose a random characters bytes and start replacing bytes.
Why was a random character chosen?

I thought that with the two character's rels' open in HxD that I'd be replacing all of Diddy's bits by comparing to that of Marth's?
/confused
I found a way to port characters with out using a preported .rel. Wait for me to do more testing on it then I'll make a vid tutorial.

I have been making some video tutorials for a while, and now have decided to make a series dedicated to stage hacking only. It will start with the basics and slowly advance in difficulty. The first in the series is already up. My main tutorial thread is below.

237  Help & Tutorials / Help / Best way to rig a dress on: October 17, 2012, 05:29:04 PM

Your issue is that st_halberd.rel is for the unedited Halberd stage. If the stage Halberd in Space was based on a different stage you need to change the .rel.
There are a few ways to do this.
1. Very Simple, Just Go Here http://www.lakora.us/rel/
Click the stage that Halberd in Space was based on in the left column, and the stage in goes over in the right. Press Download.
2. A Little Harder, Download This http://www.mediafire.com/?rmr2j837li4867n
Put your unedited .rels in the "rel" folder (no quotes) Open the program and click the .rel you want to change. In the top drop-down box select the stage you clicked (should be highlighted) in the bottom selected the stage you want to replace. Click Start. Go to the folder called edited and get your new .rel

I'd use the first method, but download the seconds program. You never know when the internet will go down.
239  Help & Tutorials / Stage Tutorials / Re: Simple .obj Importing on: October 11, 2012, 11:02:28 AM
Well, yes. However, I had assumed people would want to perform the import directly into the stage instead of having to use a new brres.

I'll note that later.
Good point, however it's always good to explain how you got what's in the picture.
240  Help & Tutorials / Stage Tutorials / Re: Simple .obj Importing on: October 10, 2012, 01:38:32 PM
Very good. One thing though, when you said to right click a .brres file you didn't say that you have to make it by going to File -> New -> Brres Resource Pack. You might want to add that so people know where you got that brres file.
