1  Help & Tutorials / Help / Some help making a 1-up mushroom code on: August 08, 2010, 02:41:58 PM
I want to make a 1 up mushroom to replace the super mushroom, (I got this Idea from a texture on the site)
that way you get a life every time you get a mushroom.
To do this I'm trying to modify the poison mushrooms kill you code.
Would it be possible to make a character leave the stage (kill them) and add a life instead of subtracting it?
if so please give me a list of strings or a data base that would help,  tell me what to do in general, or if I'm too stupid figure it out without me cause all I really know now is how to change values around...

here is what we're working with

Poison Mushrooms Kill you:  (Phantom Wings)
4A000000 8077F780 <- value for Item to change I'm guessing
D2000000 00000004 <- Item model?
2C030000 41820010 <- applies to character and or entering stage?
2C1C00F3 40820008 <- unknown
3B8000BD 60000000 <- has something to do lives I'm guessing?
939E0038 00000000 <- unknown

all information I put is just a guess by looking a codes with similar strings on google.
examples are: in game character swap, taunt to kill your self and the item switcher code.

This is a (ridiculous) example of what the original code does:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPRwXzPY71w" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPRwXzPY71w</a>

so basically I need two things, make the code apply to super mushrooms instead of poison ones,
and when you leave the stage you gain a life instead of lose one.
sounds basic enough.
but I don't really get it....

Thanks
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Stage problems on: August 02, 2010, 04:23:28 PM
I'm having some trouble with rel files....
I am trying to replace Pokemon stadium melee
with pumpkin hill which is a Hyrule temple based stage

I've tried running stage switcher and hexing it myself
but it's not doing anything...
I see no changes and when I run it with the pac file it crashes with the BBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz
noise

I've already looked through afew guides and nothing is doing the trick
so I was wondering if I was missing any specifics or doing something wrong
if not does any one just have a st_dxpstadium to st_dxshrine rel lying around
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Quick coding question! on: July 25, 2010, 05:39:18 PM
Ok so today I found a code that changes the animation frame rate for every player,
but it gave no basic info, like what values equal which speeds.
I've tried a few values but the results were all over the place i.e. I sucked at it...
every time I tried it the characters always went wayyyyy too fast...
anyways I'm trying to get it anywhere from 1.25 to 2 times faster than normal,
really anything that makes it so you can have more attacks, and faster attacks
with out look jumpy or being hard to control.

so here it is:

Universal Animation Modifier[Igglyboo]
80000000 80623320
80000001 00000000
60000006 00000000
60000003 00000001
4A001000 00000000
4A101001 00000000
36000000 00000032
58010000 00000004
DE000000 80008180
58010000 00000060
DE000000 80008180
58010000 00000014
DE000000 80008180
1400004C XXXXXXXX <- here is the variable
80100001 00000008
62000000 00000001
E200000F 00000000
80000001 00000000
80100000 00000244
62000000 00000000
E0000000 80008000

Could some one please help me out?
I'm really feeling the super-noob vibe right now...

Edit:
I moved this topic because I think I put it was out of its place

I don't really know if this is possible,
but what if there was a way to use the stage editor to make
custom stages as wide, as a at-least a small subspace level
by taking two custom stages and putting in a comment like
finaldst p1, finaldst p2 finaldst p3 for each of them
it would conjoin them at the x axis from left to right according to the assigned number and title
to make extra wide stages!

speaking purely conceptually could a code like this ever happen?

here is a example, I just souped up a picture I found on google images.
