So, after browsing through fontworks.co.jp, which is the site where nintendo gets their fonts from, I found out that the font used for CSP names is called Matisse, now, I haven't found a download for it, but at least I found a workaround!
If you click on it and select that grey box, you can type in any name for your character and get a preview, now, because Brawl uses low-size names, it doesn't really matter in this case! All you have to do is copy it, invert it and insert it.
Here are some examples:
This should help whoever wants to port their characters with BrawlEx and want something official-ish. Cheers!
Well, let's look at it this way: How likely is Nintendo to use roughly if not exactly the same MLD0 format that +100 Nintendo-licensed Wii software titles already use? Very likely. The only tough part will be figuring out the new archive compression, but only if it is different.
Not very likely roughly or exactly the same as MDL0, I remember Nintendo stating that their team was already in full capacity for HD gaming, this probably means some internal changes to ensure quality were made. Granted the MDL0 format will be in some ways similar to the new model format, but I believe there will be changes in shaders, overall structure to support higher polycounts while not wasting more space than needed and the texture format, which is sure to change now that it allows for full color images. Also, while the first step is hacking the Wii U remember that not even the disc structure has been touched, no one has reportedly dumped a disc to even find out the compression.
Not sure whether to put the bat or cannon? Are you [censored]ing high sir? You must be. That's necessary.
It's like saying Wolverine without claws.
I can't believe you weren't planning on making the wings either. I guess at least as the Final Smash will be alright.
Sorry, but you seem like a different Pik. The one I use to know will go out of his way to do such things, now you don't know if you're going to make them?
I actually disagree with this, Pik usually bases on a sprite with looks, however the Masked Man presents many looks, he uses his wings rarely, he is most times without the arm cannon (specially in the final battle where he takes his mask off), Pik is just trying to do a modern version of the Masked Man for us, he even included some kickass buttons that weren't part of the original design to add more detail to the character himself.
both lucas and ness since their bonestructs are similar? anyways, thats the last thing to worry about between those two, since the proportions are also the same, would like seeing marth/ Masked Man with sword nontheless also, found this from way back
Hey man, just wanted to wish you good luck with the PSA for Paper Mario, I was stuck in the same pickle as you using a custom bone tree and such http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=38446.0 how did you manage to make the 2d though, I always get a near 3d effect or the model screws up :/
