Carchar's over Fox?

I didn't notice... no offense to KJP, but Carchar doesn't look cool enough for me to want to replace Fox with him. Not saying its a bad hack or anything. Its just my personal taste.

Awesome-tastic.

A note about SMBZ Sonic: I found it somewhat difficult to chain his combo's together because they don't exactly link well together. Same thing with Goku.

On to the comments:

Bullet Punch:
- Maybe to make it more unique and unlike Falco/Fox's Side-B, he should stop once he hits someone. In a way, it'd be like Ike's (and would come with its fair share of draw backs) but perhaps to make up for that, you could make it to where if he hits someone, he doesn't go into helpless state. That would also make it unique from Ike's.

Razor Wind:
- It looks like it could use a bit more horizontal range. Just a bit, I can see that its not intended for horizontal attacking, but just a bit more could make it so much more useful. It would also be cool if you could hold it instead of it being a set number of attacks.

Giga Impact:
- It looks slow... I don't wanna say its slower then Marths because the computer wasn't actually moving when you showed it in the video so its hard to tell. But it looks slow. Slow to the point where it'll be easily dodged unless you're in a multi-man brawl.

False Swipe:
- I like the concept behind it. Same knockback, same damage no mater what. Thats unique and will serve its own unique purposes, but might I suggest a more interesting animation for it? Perhaps something similar to Falco's first hit of his Jab attack. It looks more slash like.

Furry Cutter:
- I REALLY like the idea you had behind that one. It requires more skill to use because it comes with its fair share of drawbacks.

Jumps:
- In Brawl- they gave Falco 4 small jumps instead of 2 high ones. Maybe that would work here too. Scizor is the evolved from of Scyther who was a Bug/Flying type that couldn't learn Fly. and Scizor is a Bug/Steel type that can learn flying moves. Maybe it would be cool to incorporate his heavy weight with his winged nature and give him those 4 jumps from the Brawl- Minus Falco.

Headbut:
- That range is terrible. I know you made it that way, but that move is horrible in most situations. The only time it would be used is if you're trying to juggle opponents in the air in which case it can only be done at low damages because if they regain their composure in the air, then its easy to dodge on the way down.

Double Hit:
- Nice... I like it

Up-Air:
- If you are going to use that animation, perhaps make it unique from Wolf's and take off the end lag. Allowing it to be used multiple times in the air rapidly. If you made it this way, it could complement the 4 jumps suggestion I made nicely. Something similar to what MetaKnight can do in the air I guess. (Jump, up-A, jump, up-a) its a good aerial chaser.

Metal Claw:
- I like this too. But perhaps it should stop once it hits someone as well.

Grabs:
- Wolf's Grabs work surprisingly well here. But if you're going to change them, I suggest the following:

Forward Grab: Brick Break
- A powerful headbut. Think Charizards Rock Smash but on  a grabbed opponent.

Back Grab: Fling
- A turning, overhead throw of the opponent. Think about a pitcher throwing a baseball... kinda.

Down Grab: Strength
- Scizor picks up his opponent and suplexes them down to the ground once. (If not that, something similar to DK's down grab)

Up Grab: Double Team
- A cool move I thought about, where an after-image appears on the other side of the grabbed opponent, and they both hit the foe with a uppercut slash.

Knockeback and damage are all up to you.

As I finished that, I remembered that you made a F-Grab. (Which I like very much) If you like my suggestion though, the F-Grab I suggested could also work for the down or back grab I suggested.

Iron Head:
- This Up-B is beyond cool... I'd keep it exactly the way it is.

Taunts:
- That one taunt you used looks nice, but perhaps you could give one of them the Swords Dance effect. 10-20 seconds of a +5% damage increase to all claw attacks or something like that.

- Maybe one of them could be Agility where he runs and hits faster then normal.

But if you're going to do something like that, don't make the taunts take so long that its practically impossible to get them off mid-battle.  Take Zoroark's for example. You'd have to literally send someone flying... SLOWLY  off the screen on the OPPOSITE side of the field from where you are and hope they die upwards so that you have almost enough time to get that taunt off...

I'd personally suggest that these were made long, but long enough to be done while someone is dying normally, but not so short as to where it can be spammed mid-battle. So that they hold actual battle potential... which is why I suggest only small bonuses.

Vacuum Wave:
- Way to much start lag.


But yeah man... this will be what finally replaces Falco.

Now if only someone would come up with a worthy replacement for Fox.


Edit: Thats totally v1 worthy (or beta 1 if you wanna call it that) You should release that... (can you feel my excitement?)

Yeah, a lot of Burst Sonic was unchanged. Still it was fun to play while I had it (changed to SMBZ Sonic)

I like the break dance... I'll probably port it over to Spider-Man's taunt since its also the break dance. Shouldn't be to hard.

I wanted to put Oblivion over the Kingdom key, because it was to my understanding that replacing the keyblade was done in the character Pac (which confused me because the key is in the pcs)

I was told that the Vault's thingy that showed new hacks, popular hacks, things of that nature was fixed... but its not fixed for me for some reason. All I get is the option to choose stages/characters/sounds etc and manually look through the vault for new things.

Help?

The second thing I need help with, (tbh, I care about this one more then the other) is that the Keyblade pack in the vault, I'm having trouble replacing the keyblades. The instructions in the description is a bit to vague for me, and I've tried a few times and gotten nowhere.

If someone could help me out with that, it'd be nice.

That texture actually looks to scale... o.O  Vegeta is actually very small in comparison to Goku.

I like the headbut as the dash attack. Yes, I noticed the DACUS in the video, however, in comparison to Falco and even Wolf, their Dacus still has fairly good forward range. I like the move (I know its from the game, he uses it in like two combos, a grab or two, and a rush attack) but if you're going to change it, might I suggest a spinning, hammer fist upwards.

He clamps his hands together and swings his arms upwards like a modified shoryuken. Hopefully you see what I see when you read this.


Note: As most of you know, a lot of the DBZ characters share similar names to food items (food storing devices). Gohan = Rice
Picilo(i swear i can't remember if this is right or not) = Pickle
Raddiz = Radish
Freeza/Cooler/ King Cold
Vegeta is a bit special though... Most think he's 'Vegetable' but nope... he's only half of that. He has a little brother Tarble. Which is supposed to make up the other half. Vegeta + Tarble = Vege + table = vegetable. [/lame]

You asked for more detailed feedback... here goes.

Without having a real good sense of how it feels due to not having a Beta to work with, as far as aesthetics go,

The Run/Walk stuff is all good. Any tweaks to that would be your artistic sense kicking in extra. Because it looks god as is. But feel free to tweak how you want.

Same with the jumps. Its not like Vegeta had a specific way he jumped, but those don't seem unlike something he'd do. Not overly acrobatic, but still enough to show that he's a skilled fighter.

I can't say I like the flow of his AAA combo. Personally, if thats the move you're going to use, it's look better not being continuous. It just doesn't look very good when it goes on...

His F-Smash is good. I like the knee and I like the way it looks.

The Dash Attack is very much televised. I don't know if you did that on purpose, but when I look at it in that video, there is a frame that looks out of place which to me... broadcasts the attack in what I believe is enough time to dodge it. As a dash attack, its not exactly supposed to televise itself... but its your psa, i'm just commenting.

The up-smash desperately needs more range in the front. I know you said you were gonna keep it from having a lot of range front wise, but thats to little... you'd be hard pressed to use the up smash unless they were standing directly on top of you... which isn't easy to do all the time.

the headbut does not look good at all I'm sorry. Its not that its a bad animation, its just strange looking in the video. It actually took me a second to see what he was doing. If you're going to keep that headbut, I'm going to try and explain how I think it would look better.

The way it looks currently is that he gets flat in the air and extends his body more so from his midsection. It may look better if he extends himself more so from the feet. (as in he moves forward in the air a bit) That way it looks like he's jutting his head forward instead of stretching his body.

Or, he could just not get entirely flat in the air... its just a strange looking pose.

I'm going to love using those air moves tbh. Even his N-Air is nice looking.

Thats about all I got from the video... can't wait for the moveset to be out to the public. I'm more of a Goku fan myself and would like to see what you do with good ol' Kamehameha boy... But this Vegeta is looking to be on par with the quality of your usual works... which are great.

Oh dude, that'd be sweet. I could use some help with a few animations cause I'm getting so busy with work and what not, but what I REALLY want is a model of Nightcrawler.

Well, I need the Up-Smash to leave the ground, hitboxes for the Up-A Air, >A Air, Down A Air.

I need a rather large fireball (or a shuriken) to be shot out of Mario towards the end of the Side-B (ground and air)

and basically a bunch of PSA things to accompany the other animations...

I haven't sent anything to anyone, cause I haven't gotten a solid 'Yes I will help you' type answer. But if you're really interested in helping, PM me your email, and I'll send you what I've got.

I only started animating 2 days ago, I've got a decent understanding to it to where I'm comfortable to do most of it on my own. I just don't have the proper internet (phone usage mostly) or blood pressure to feel like bumping my way around in the dark with the PSA portion of things.
