STATUS:

Machop has been updated. The model is now more accurate, but is a huge disappointment overall. I will not be making any further changes.

Ark has been updated.
A few of the earlier pictures of Ark showed him with Isaac hair as well as his normal, I took the pictures while using my old psa's pac and motion. I apologize for any misconception caused by the discrepancy.

I'm going to start on the young Terry texture later tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully it will turn out better than Machop lol.

My wii kicked me from BB and now won't read my sd-card, so I'm in the process of transferring everything to a new one. I managed to get a few pictures of Squirtle, but didn't get a chance to get any more of Ark or Alex/Arcanus.

The torso is more humanoid now. I brought out the back of it so it looks more a correct around his shoulder blades, but the middle pentagonal shape is still there, although it's not sticking out by more than a few centimeters visually. The lighting effect on his shell is also annoying me. How would I turn it off? I made his refs blank, but that didn't seem to help that much.

I did get to test it in-game for a few minutes before the sd-card quit on me.
*His artificial neck moves out of place during several animations, but it isn't really noticeable during battle, so it should be fine.
*His eye textures are still lighter than the surrounding skin for some reason. It must be a lighting effect causing it, however it's not as noticeable as before and I might just leave them that way. I also forgot to change his iris. Going to do that in a few minutes.

I saw it and was going to offer to help with some of it but got side tracked. I'll look into it.

I have young Terry's model (on Tlink) almost finished, so it probably. 


His sword will be a Sabreman (floating a few inches/feet away from his hand
Not sure what I'm going to do with his shield, but I might just make it a MadMirror

Then I'll just texture the boomerang and such as a Slime probably. Since they can mold into several different shapes.

Are his legs unvertexable? I made them a bit thinner but each patch is just making it worse rather than better. I went 15 patches in, started over because I thought I had done something wrong, and now I'm about 6 in and it's doing the exact same thing.

Generally it never takes me more than 2-5 patches on something this simple.


Nevermind, I give up on the legs.

Head has been shrunk, now I need to move his eyes back into place, then I should be able to get you a new preview.

Theres no texture yet, it's just a model. Some other guy is doing the texture for it. Should end up looking fairly good if that guy is good with textures.

On topic:

Squirtle's arms point forward in his T-frame, meaning no matter how much vertexing I do, he's going to look like a bent-over turtle. Theres only so much you can do to draw away from that fact.

I'll make his head smaller, attempt to give him a fake neck. Not sure how it will turn out and I'll probably have to disable his head to make it look right.

I just made him as thin as he's going to get and made his fingers longer as well.

Some of Samus's attacks would already be perfect. You would just need to spin the forearm during them.

As I said the description: "I'm going to make him skinnier and make his legs/arms thinner to see if it makes him look more accurate"

His toes are mostly gone, they still have ridges at the top where each toe would have normally started though. I'm going to round them out.

I changed the shapes of his arms slightly, but couldn't get his hands to look like actual hands, so I gave up on the changes I made to them. I'll be attemping this again for the next version.

Because of the way his arms come out of his chest, I won't be able to make him much thinner without making his shoulders look weird. But I'll be doing some slimming.



Still, Ark looks great though.  I love the trousers XP



The pants really needed to be more puffy, but his legs are so close together in his T-frame, that I couldn't really do much more without making them one sided. They would have also been larger at the top, but the bottom of his tunic, which has been removed to give him the tassel things is apparently still considering as being there, as it deforms the top of his pants as though it's still there :/

I've Lul'd several times at how much he looks like an adult Sora.

Machop is also finished. I meant to release it last night, but someone on my team site Koo.pac released a new hack and I didn't want to bump his post off of the first slot before it could even get a comment.

Heh. Honestly, I don't really think the blog moves fast enough for the top billing to be much of a concern. (Plus, having the most recent post just makes me want to slack off)


Either way, I wanted your post to get it's moment in the sun before I pushed it out of the way. I'll make my post after I get some new pictures, so it'll be later today.

I still haven't presented my updated Arcanus/Alex yet either. It's finished, just laying around until I get some other more important stuff out of the way.

Not that I'm aware of. If the freeze doesn't come after a certain action, the usual solution is to start the psa over and hope the problem doesn't persist.

nicely done, i really like how you made the spear. Waiting for machop now.

 btw im also finshed with delta, i made the head, moved some small polygons inward and im preparing to do the legs, the textures have also been fixed somewhat and will be fixed more after i finish.

The spear is really old. I made it back before the first Ark texture I released. I could probably vertex it and make it look alittle more accurate, but it wasn't really necessary.

I think you should release two versions, a PSA'd version and a normal version of Ark, but that's just my point of view. BTW it's great somebody is finally interesting in Terranigma, looking forward to Ark Wink

Unfortunately, the SquareEnix isn't interested. Terranigma is one of the many SNES games in need of a remake or at least a port.
