Nah, i took out all the Riivolution stuff, and all my files are in the right place.
Edit: took out all my brawl stuff, replaced it, and it works a-okay now, for some reason.

Help & Tutorials / Help / Brawl +/- keeps failing

Okay, to start, the lock nib on my SD Card broke, but I already got around that, and my Wii can still read into the card.
With Brawl-, everything looks fine, the CSS, my CCP's and the like work, but when I get in-game, none of my custom stages load, none of my textures load, and the physics go back to the VBrawl type.
With the old version I had, the CSS would go back to the standard VBrawl, and my CSP's would be gone as well, but with the latest update, it's strange.
Everything looks crapily drawn in Ms Paint...
It's kinda hard to explain, but just imagine the CSS drawn by a second grader...
Brawl + does the same thing, except instead of a CSS, the character tiers go back to VBrawl order.
Like I said, every single other Homebrew I have works perfectly fine, but this.
Could Gecko be failing, or could there be a problem with my SD Card, which I doubt.
Can I get some help from anyone?

I had the same prob at one time... but I use gecko...
I had to put the brsar in the sound folder on my SD to fix it...
I thought sounds didn't work with Gecko, only Riivolution.

I've actually been snooping and found this: http://www.flatmii.com/ Oh, and if other users can get away with bumping their own thread, I can too... Apparently, it's able to sync your pc to your Wii and stream the ISO in, from what I read. The site says it won't cost more than 38€ plus tax and S&H. No hard-modding required, and it's region free. I could see this turning sour though... Edit: Checked one of the sellers. It looks like a legit piece of technology, and it's, rounded up, $USD40.

Help & Tutorials / Help / I have a question...

I want to back up all my Wii games.
The problem is, my computer doesn't have a dvd burner/drive in it...
Is there a way to store the Wii ISO's on my COMPUTERS hard drive, and somehow load and play them on the Wii?
I've read about external hard drives being used, but I don't have the cash for some 16Gb USB 2.0 drive.
Any help?
Even if it isn't possible, can someone explain why?
Thanks.

Use both to be safe. They should be named the same thing..... I think....
Actually, i remove all the pac files and left the pcs, and most of the textures worked. But there are some characters where the textures just don't work. I've tried textures for Ike, Captain Falcon, and some others.

Ummm, I just realized somehting...
The characters came with a pec and pcs file.
I opened them in Brawl box, and they seem to be the same thing...
Do I need them both, or just one, and which one?
Note: they aren't transforming characters, I have textures for C Falcon, Ike, Mark and snake.

K, other than getting help from Ms. Nice Girl, is there any other perquisites I need to be able to use textures.
We have:
The correct file set-up
Folders in the right place
renamed all pcs and pec files to Fit(charactername)(costume number).pcd/pec
all named folders are put accordingly, (Example: captain instead of Captain Falcon.)
and I'm getting help from Ms. Nice Girl.
Anything else I need to know?
Edit: Guess not, if this is it I'm going to go try it out later.

Yup. The file names and folder names must match that of the names in the ISO, or else they won't work.
Of course, for Gecko OS users, files that end in _en must have the _en removed from their file names.
OMg thank you. One mroe thing: the pec files need to be named Fit(character name)(costume number), correct? Because I have one for snake, and it's just Deadpool00.pec Edit: Because it still doesn't work.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Lloyd beta 1.5....

Yeah, I jumped in to this texture hacking stuff last night when I found out you can do it with the new Gecko OS.
I haven't tried any yet, but the set-up is perfect, but that isn't the point.
I got the Lloyd Beta 1.5 that's to be in place of wolf.
Here's the thing; I'm kinda confused on what to do next.
Here's the folder set-up:
Main folder: Lloyd Irving Beta
Sub-folders:
Battle Portraits
Beta Stage
CSS Portraits
Icons
Lloyd Pac files
Music
Text
and that generic .ds_store file.
Am I to believe that you can do all this with the Gecko OS code system?
If not, would someone be kind enough to explain it to me?
thanks!
edit: yeah, the other textures don't work either...
I'm pretty sure I have the set-up right...
