Noobish question, but I test my hacks out ALOT. Especially now that I'm making BRSTM's and I constantly need to test their volumes in-game. Anyways, I know that in order to prevent your audio from screwing up, you need to format your SD before you put new songs on it. That's where my question comes in.
I have an 8gb SDHC, and it's a pain to sit through each time I need to format it (15-20 minutes each time). Would it still be sufficient if I were to "quick format" instead, or will that just keep the results of the music getting all glitchy?
Okay, so I was wondering earlier today if it was possible to have 3 different stages over both Shadow Moses Island and Castle Siege. I'm a bit more convinced that it's possible with Shadow Moses, but I'm a bit skeptical on whether or not it'll work with CS.
Can anyone confirm this for me? And if it's possible, how do I do it? Simply place the desired stage .pacs over the individual stage names (i.e. STGMETALGEAR_00, 01, 02/STGEMBLEM_00, 01, 02), or am I missing something?
Ugh. Okay, I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to remove the extra character icons on my CSS. I'm using the custom flaming blue CSS, and everything's fine, I just want the extras gone. But when I edit my code list, the icons become all messed up ._.
I was going through all the music replacements in Brawl today when I noticed something funny. One of the titles of the songs were sort of "floating" above the normal position that all other song titles are in under the My Music section. There's only one song name doing this so far, so it's not really a big deal, but I CAN be a bit picky sometimes, so...
Is there any way I can fix this without having to get a new .pac file and rename each and every song title from scratch? If not, I understand, but thanks in advance to anyone that helps
Yeah...I'm not too savvy with replacing SFX myself, so I downloaded Rajinmaru's Roy SFX for Marth, but I want to use the Hex Packet included. What am I supposed to enter in "offset of beginning" in Sawndz?
I'm setting up Riivolution on my Wii, and I just need clarification on whether my SD is compatible with it before I move all my files on there.
My friend got me an 8gb SDHC card, and I really have no idea whether it'd work with riivolution. I also cannot test it myself because I'm visiting said friend for a day ._. If anyone could clear this up for me, I would appreciate it greatly~
Okay, so I'm trying to get a size mod to work on Marth, and I just need to make sure I did everything I'm supposed to. I'm trying to resize the Ed Elric, btw.
First, I opened up FitMarth04.pcs (Ed) and opened up ModelData[0]. Afterwards, I went into Bones and found YRotN and renamed it to what was specified (YRoyN).
Is that all I have to do? Or do I need to edit the included MotionEtc.pac as well?
Okay, so I'm kinda in a predicament here. I want DemonSlayer's Les Vagas stage, but both of the stages that it's made to go over are already filled. Is there any way to get this stage over another (namely Norfair)?
I know that there are .REL files in the vault that change any FD stage to a stage of my choice, so is what I'm asking possible?
Okay, so I'm hoping this is the last bit of help I'll need for quite some time.
I've been trying to switch to Riivolution for awhile now, and the fact that BY just released a Gecko to Riivolution setup basically gives me no reason not to make the change. That's where my question comes in:
I'm not too savvy with hacking SFX into the game. At all. Last time I tried it, I ended up getting a freeze right before the character select screen. If it's not too much trouble, can someone give me a pre-hacked smashbros_sound.bsrar? The only things I would want changed are Sonic's SFX to Shadow's and Ike's SFX to Cloud's (along with their respective announcer calls.)
I would GREATLY appreciate it if someone could tackle this~
Okay, so I feel a bit stupid for asking this question, but is there any way I can get all my replaced music tracks to be around the same volume level? That's the only thing I'm extremely picky with. I hate to have one song extremely low, while others are blasting ._.
Is there a program that I can just dump all of my files into? Or would I need to individually edit each song?
So, turns out I need some help I don't think it's anything serious, but I can't figure out what's going on.
Anyway, what I'm trying to do is this: I want to completely replace Falcon with the Viewtiful Joe vertex + recolors, but with the Falcon Minus Revised PSA. I'm pretty sure that's possible, but I could be wrong.
However, this is where my problem resides. Everything works fine as far as I know, EXCEPT for when I get to the CSS. The second I place my cursor over Falcon/Joe, the game immediately freezes. I have no idea what I did wrong, to be completely honest. If anyone could help me sort this out, I'd greatly appreciate it~
Okay, so I figured that once I get this issue resolved, I might just stop adding hacks, because I keep getting myself into issues that I don't know how to fix
Anyway, here's what's wrong:
My SSS isn't loading stages properly. I didn't check all the stages, so I have no idea which ones are working and which ones aren't, but the two that I DID try were Port Town Aero Dive (currently replaced with Willamette Mall), and Castle Siege. The former stage gives me the infamous humming freeze sound, while the latter doesn't make any noise, but still doesn't get past the "now loading" section. I really have no idea what happened. The stages were working fine yesterday, but now they aren't. Like I said, I have no idea what I may have done to cause it, but if someone can help me out here, I'd really appreciate it ._.
I apologize for having to post this, but I'm having trouble setting up Riivolution. I don't get a few things about the directory is all :/ so I'm hoping with any luck, that a Riivolution-savvy user can help me out here.
I read the Riivolution guides, but for some reason, I'm still not getting it. For example:
=========== Where do I place my mods? ===================

=========== Where do I place my music? ===================

=========== Where do I place my textures? ================
X:/brawlmods/textures/fighter/ - All of the character textures go here, e.g. X:/brawlmods/textures/fighter/captain/FitCaptain00.pac X:/brawlmods/textures/info/ - Anything that belongs in "info" goes in here. X:/brawlmods/textures/menu/ - Anythin that belongs in "menu" goes in here. X:/brawlmods/textures/menu2/ - Anything that belongs in "menu2" or "pfmenu2" goes in here. =========== How about my movies (THP files)? =============
X:/brawlmods/movies/ - Place any THP files you have in here.
I'm having a problem with the mod/texture placement. If someone could help me out with this, or maybe provide me with a pre-made Riivolution directory, I would really appreciate it.
._. It was only a matter of time until something happened again.
Okay, my brother was complaining about wanting a few overpowered movesets for his characters, so I took some from the Ultimate Brawl Battle entry in the vault, and when he was trying them out, we found out that one of our stages wasn't playing music. The stage in question was Battlefield. We started up a match, and nothing played. The title of the song didn't show, and the SFX were the only things heard. I thought maybe something was wrong within the "My Music" section. I went into there and tried readjusting Battlefield's tracks. As soon as I pressed the A button with the cursor over Battlefield, I got the infamous buzzing freeze sound.
As far as I know, that's the only stage that does that, which sucks, because it's one of our most played stages. I've tried reformatting the SD, with no avail. I currently have all my Brawl files sitting on my desktop. Is there any way I can fix this? As always, any help would be greatly appreciated
