31  Help & Tutorials / Help / Having problems with CSS on: November 05, 2010, 02:20:00 PM
I hate to have to post another question here so soon, but I really have no choice. I searched Google with no help, so...I'm hoping I'll get a few pointers here.

Currently, I'm having a messed up background appearing on my CSS. I'm using the Dark Blue custom CSS by ASF1nk if that helps at all. The background I'm getting is currently likened to the one that CSPs give you when they're not in proper format (glitchy, pixellated, and otherwise messed up) I really have no idea what's wrong. I tried reformatting my SD card a couple of times, with no improvement. All of my CSPs are in the right format as well. However, I'm guessing that the problem would be in my sc_selcharacter.pac itself.

If anyone could tell me what's wrong, and how to fix this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

There's a DL link to my current .pac. Hopefully someone can skim through it using BrawlBox and see what's causing it? I'm still pretty unfamiliar with the program myself, so...yeah :/

Thanks for any help in advance  Wink

32  Help & Tutorials / Help / Issues With Music Replacements on: October 30, 2010, 09:34:24 PM
Alright, so recently, I've been having a problem that I'm hoping can be solved, because this one is really annoying.

Basically what I'm getting is a sped up(?) song which kicks in about 2 minutes into a regular track. For example, I was playing on Green Hill Zone, with Endless Possibilities playing, and everything was fine up until that 2 minute point. After that, another song from my SD card will start playing, and it'll usually be sped up to the point where it's almost distorted.

Luckily, I found a YouTube video that was showing the same problem.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X9OmoYwl8I" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X9OmoYwl8I</a>

I've been searching around for an answer, and I've found two possible solutions. It said I can either:
-format my SD card and put everything back on there
OR
-My card is likely messing up because of how much stuff is on there. I currently have about 12MB on my 2GB card.

Anyway, if anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it, as always.
33  Help & Tutorials / Help / Freezing Issues on: October 10, 2010, 07:42:22 PM
I hate to have this be my 3rd question in under 2 weeks, but it's extremely annoying, and I'm pretty much at a on how to solve it.

Anyway, as the title suggests, I'm having a few minor freezing issues here. I say minor because it only affects a few options in Brawl (as far as I know), namely the stage builder and training mode. I really have no idea as to why it freezes up, so if anyone could help, that'd be great.

I'm currently using vBrawl. Like I said, I'm not sure what could be causing it, so to specifically speak:

-I'm using ASF1nk's custom CSS, SSS, along with the Flaming Blue menu.
-I'm still using the GeckoOS File Loader
and
-I've replaced a good portion of the game's music tracks (approx. 136)

I'm pretty sure neither of those things would contribute to the freezing, but I'd rather get someone's opinion who's a bit more hack-savvy.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I've looked everywhere for a guide on how to get this working, but I haven't had any luck.

I'm trying to hack certain character voices into Brawl (specifically Young Link over Link, and Shadow over Sonic). I've downloaded 2 Hex editing programs already, and I've followed the readme's included in the various voice packs they have here on the vault, yet for some reason, I can't get the voices to work. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm currently using Gecko OS to load the files into Brawl. I don't know whether I should be using Riivolution, however. Also, I'm fairly sure that I may have the directory wrong?

ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated.
35  Help & Tutorials / Help / Stage Editing Freeze-ups? on: October 05, 2010, 10:24:18 AM
I apologize for the blunt question, buuuut, I've looked EVERYWHERE, and I have no idea what's wrong.

I'm currently experiencing an issue with creating/editing custom stages. I went to go edit one of the songs in my stage, and it immediately froze up. I'm still pretty much a newbie when it comes to this stuff, so I was hoping maybe someone could help me find the source of the problem? I would greatly appreciate it Wink

If it helps at all, I'm providing a link to my current common5, common3, sc_selcharacter, sc_selmap, and info PACs. Maybe someone could see if there's something in there that's causing the game to freeze?

At any rate, thanks in advance to anyone that helps.
