256  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: August 02, 2013, 01:22:42 AM
ISO modding... I'll stick with the old codes...
I'll take the risk of freezes but I don't wanna edit my disc or a backup

The said codes aren't especifically made for a modded iso. You can use the new codes (which are more stable than the originals) with an original Brawl with all the extra files in the SD card. Modding the iso saves some space in the sd card anyway.

Well, here's my Codelist:

Code:

Sometimes the freezes are silent, sometimes they are noisy. I'm not sure whether it is the costume or the coding, or even something else. I feel like I will be having to re-do everything from scratch...

I've started looking your case, for the moment the codes seem to be fine. I'll tell you more later.

xD  that he is!! right now im using him to get the cell shading to work.. no luck so far Im srs here

Maybe if you import it as a character? I'm not sure now, but I guess I once noticed that effects like metal or cell-shading don't work if you import as stage (unless it's a singlebind part of the stage).

cBliss Tool: New update with another small fix regarding to code updating.

GCT Analyzer: Fixed some issues with certain codes and added the Replacement SoundBank Engine code to the database, as well as the PAL cBliss codes.

Not sure if this been told already, the thread is really too long to check. I've noticed the importer forcing the color nodes to 100 instead of 128 in the last release (#646464 instead of #808080), so people that don't know enough about this are getting their imports in a darker scheme. If this isn't intentional, it would be cool if you reverted it to 128.

Hi there. My girlfriend has gone visiting her family today, and she'll be there for nearly a month. So I should get more progress and finish things during this month.

Yeah, I'm working on Gerudo Valley. There's still alot to do with it, and I'll resume the work today. For the moment, I'll leave here this video I recorded yesterday while playing some Project M with a friend of mine. Sure I'll make some custom platforms for an alternate versions, it was already in my plans Tongue

[Project M 2.6] - Link (Mewtwo2000) vs Pit (Tase)

This stage, Mute City, and all the others are supposed to get progress this month. Some of them will probably be finished and released.
261  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: July 31, 2013, 06:59:45 AM
My fighter folder is nearly empty, cause I modded my iso to not need that lot of costumes in the SD ^^U

You don't have to replace the original ones at all. The code just forces Brawl to load more costumes than before, and it needs to find the new costumes either in the iso or the sd card. It will also need the edited portraits and icons so there's something to load once you select a new costume. But nothing else, the code doesn't force you to have the costumes in the sd or anything.

Depending on where it freezes, the reason is one or another. If the freeze is in the css, if the portrait isn't shown at all, the problem is the portrait. If it's shown but freezes shortly after, the costume isn't found or something related to the fighter folder is missing. If it freezes when the match is starting, then the battle portrait is missing. Finally, if the freeze comes once the match is finished, the problem is with the results screen portrait.

There can also be problems with the code, like the one I fixed yesterday. If the costumes info for a character has wrong info, it may try to load more than 10 costumes, and as there's no more portraits nor costume files, it crashes. My cBliss tool can extract the cBliss codes as txt, so they can be posted here, for example, and see if they're fine.
262  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: July 30, 2013, 05:07:40 PM
Think that the potraits included originally are supposed to be really low-sized, cause they're just black with some white number with a little coloring. Extract and compare one of your csp's in tex0 format vs one of the cbliss ones in the same format. Maybe it's just that it's normal that they're that big.
263  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: July 30, 2013, 04:28:15 PM
So I followed instructions to the T and so, everything works as it should, but regardless, I'm having an issue.

The original SelChar.pac within the files (the one with all the CMPR and colors 06, 07, 08, 09 portraits) loads fine, and correctly, but when I replace all the portraits with my own (in CMPR format as well), the filesize jumps a ridiculous amount (and of course, the menu freezes when I try to load it).

Considering that the individual portrait sizes are uniform upon insertion (10,304B each), why does the filesize increase so much? I am completely at a for why this would be...

Maybe your version of Brawlbox is outdated and doesn't manage well these things. Check if the folders that are supposed to be compressed are still compressed in your file, and try re-building your file by moving up-down one of your pictures.

If it froze before selecting lucario and not in the stage selection screen, then it's most likely that something's wrong with the lucario files, either csp files or the actual costume files.

I've been using stage expansion and alternate stage loader from the beginning and I got no issues at all.

By the way, cBliss tool is already updated with the fix and the new feature.

Get my cBliss tool, use it, and those pokemon should be fixed as soon as you click 'update GCT'.

The Trainer can't be selected in PM, but is there not a way to give one or all three of the independent Pokémon 10 costumes without crashing? On 2.5b I was able to use 10 for Charizard, but Squirtle and Ivysaur crashed the game no matter what I did. I never was able to fix that, but it wasn't a huge problem for me since I don't use the those two much anyway, but now there isn't a way for Charizard to work with 2.6? I tried adding 10 costumes for him and it crashed, I tried 10 for him and the Trainer, crashed, all of them, crashed. It's not the biggest problem if there isn't a way to fix this, but considering I made a Ridley recolor pack specifically for cBliss, I'd like to get Charizard 10 costumes again if possible. Am I just missing something? Every costume for all three Pokemon and the Trainer are replaced except for Squirtle and Ivysaur's 00s.

Send me your gct so I can test what's wrong with it.
266  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Mewtwo2000's - New Tool (cBliss Tool) - [22/07/2013] on: July 29, 2013, 07:59:07 AM
Hi. You're right, that's a glitch, something I missed. The program reads well the number of costumes, but writes them the wrong way. I'll go for it right now.

I'll also try the feature you've suggested, so you can select if the teams are cbliss or brawl character by character. I know how to do it and shouldn't be hard.

Anyway, if you wanted to edit the code by yourself, this is how it works:

The first line just defines the place in memory and amount of data. The data itself starts on the second line, and it all is the same. First number is team, second number is costume. 00 is red team, 03 is green team and 01 is blue team. 0C is end of list, so there will be as much costumes as pairs of numbers before you find the '0C'. Also, each character is 3 lines, except for Wario, and the order is the same as in the list on the program.

So, suppose this is Mario:

00000906 01030204
08050302 00010507
0B080409 0C000000

FitMario00 is red team. Next mario in the CSS is Mario06. Mario03 goes next and he's blue team. Next are Mario04 and Mario05. Then we have Mario02 on the green team, and next are the expanded slots. Mario01 would be red team too, but as Mario00 is first, Mario00 will be the one on red team. Changing the first 00 to anything else would enable Mario01 as red team instead of Mario00.

Each number is a color, being teams only 00, 01 and 03. Playing with those values, you can customize any team. I won't make the tool to be able to fully customize this for the moment, I guess it's not that important and people won't be using it. I'll do it so you can select the team for the standard color (fitxx00), and the rest will be kept by default.
267  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Mewtwo2000's - New Tool (cBliss Tool) - [22/07/2013] on: July 27, 2013, 03:51:28 PM
The program handles and sets up the codes. The codes allow the game to load extra character costumes from either the sd card or the game disc. Now, if there's no csp's in either sd or disc, the wii will crash when trying to select a csp that's not there. Same thing if the character files aren't found.

So, the tool allows you to customize the code, but you'll always need the csp files to be prepared for this. You can get the files from the cbliss package, or if you already had your csp's, you can keep using them flawlessly, unless you want to keep the brawl order (third option in the program), in that case you'd need to re-order your portraits.

Try updating the codes with cBliss Tool, maybe you're using the original code which has some stability issues.
269  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: cBliss v1.5 [16?] on: July 22, 2013, 06:41:40 PM
The Project M CSS is supposed to be used with Project M, where Trainer cannot be selected. So, that freeze should not occur. I have a version of the Project M CSS with trainer, so if used without Project M, it will not freeze. Still, that one doesn't include the cBliss extra costumes.

To use cBliss successfully with Project M 2.6, the common5.pac has to include the extra costumes, and the extra pac/pcs files addressed by the CSS have to exist in either the sd card or the iso file. Also, if it's only in the sd card, if you're using riivolution, the extra files have to be reflected in the xml. My recommendation and what I do myself is just using this to add the needed costumes into the iso, and having everything else either in the iso or the sd card, which would be css portraits, battle portraits and results portraits.

Also, Bowser will freeze unless the gigabowser slots are also filled with the 10 costumes, be careful with that.

It depends, if it finds the projectm codes, it gets the ProjectM team values. If it doesn't find them, then it uses Brawl's.
