WackaAlpaca's template is fine -- I sue it and have no problems with anything.
He could mean the collisions aren't present. If this is the case, make sure you give the floors "floor" in the Material drop-down box, and the walls with "wall", etc.
The one associated with your GCT. If you don't have one then you're kinda screwed unless you can figure out how to extract the codes from the GCT and add them to a text document.
To change the character select screen stuff you have to go into your sc_selcharacter.pac if you're a Gecko user, or common5.pac --> sc_selcharacter if you're a Riivolution user. Either way, they're both the same thing. The sc_selcharacter.pac Gecko users use is really just taken out of the common5.pac.
In sc_selcharacter, char_bust_tex_Lz77 is where all the large CSPs are, MiscData[30] is where the CSP texts are located, and MiscData[70] is where all the small CSPs are located.
1. common5.pac goes in brawlmods\textures\system unless your XML is using the FPC structure.
2. Just take the "_en" out of it.
3. Get a picture you want, make sure it's .png, then open it in an editing program of your choice, make sure it's the same size as the thing you're replacing, save it as a .png or .tga, then open up your common5.pac, expand sc_selcharacter, expand either char_bust_tex_Lz77, MiscData[30] or MiscData[70] depending on what you're trying to edit.
That's what I thought but I don't think that worked for me which is why I didn't say it. I use Riivolution now so I don't worry about it anymore anyway.
Wow; it did. Well, now I know how to make 2D stages now lol. But where do you get all the backgrounds, the stage, etc? Like where did you get the stuff for your stage? Did you rip it from the game or something? If so, how do you do that? Screen-shot it?
That WackaAlpaca guy sure is helpful. I'll have to refer to him more in the future. It'd be pretty awesome if I could start making stages.
