Previews and names are fine. Just reduce the colors in the thumbnails and you're good to go.
Oh alright then. Yeah pretty much all my SSIs are indexed with 256 colors. I'll just reduce it to 200 maybe, I don't know. Or I'll just change only the Ganon's Tower one, and if I add any more stages I'll just have to degrade other SSIs.
Mine is 1.15 MB and it freezes before even loading the SSS. I had to take off my Ganon's Tower SSI and SSP I made last night (to go with Mewtwo2000's Ganon's Tower stage), and it resolved the problem.
Replace ItmMelee055Gen arc with one from another stage
Where do I find that? What does it do?
It controls the spwnage of items, and its the last file in arc2 of all stages. so open your stage in brawlbox, expand arc2, then scroll down to bottom, it will be named ItmMelee[numbrs]Gen
Oh alright. I just found it in BrawlBox, now I just need to know what should I replace it with? Could I just extract ItmMelee002Gen from one of my other custom stages and replace with that? Does it matter which stage I get it from?
Edit: It worked from me doing what I said above ^. But I still have to ask: does it matter what ItmMeleeGen### I use?
Well, to load Stack Smash, you must use a GC controller.
That is all.
I do use a GC controller. Platinum Wave Bird at that.
By the way this only really happens after I edit a file in my SD card or add a hack or anything. I'm experiencing this problem again as I type this. This will be my second reboot now.
Nope I'm not hacking into my Wii and risk frigging it up. It's bad enough I got a message saying my system files where corrupt while trying to install Smash Stack. God knows what will happen if I hard-mod my Wii...
Homebrew is like fireworks. Hard to screw up unless you're a dumbass.....no offence......
Well I am a dumbass with this stuff lol. Seriously though; I am. Took me an unbelievable long time to get Smash Stack to work, and I still make some retarded noob mistakes with it today.
I know how that is. My tutorial threads get very little responses. I just have to assume it's helping. If it's a help thread, then people either don't know or don't feel like answering for whatever reason because they think someone else will answer.
After a week, if nobody answers your help thread and you still don't know. Bump it. >_>
The rule is more against repeatedly bumping topics in a short period of time.
Lol that's pretty much the case with me because the only threads I've made on this forum are all help threads. Very few aren't. It's so annoying and even more annoying when I bump it and still get nothing.
And ok; I have bumped only the ones that had almost no responses or none at all, and on the next page. That's when I usually will start to bump.
What if after I bump it goes right to the second page again really fast? Can I still bump?
Why should you use TGA instead of PNG? Is it better quality? I use GIMP so I probably couldn't use that file anyway.
Also, last time I put a TGA file in BrawlBox as a CSP for Old Snake, there was no transparency; in game there was just a solid black background behind Snake. I can't edit the TGA and make it have transparency or convert it to PNG because when I did that BrawlBox said it was out of memory or something when I tried to import it.
Why don't you look at my guide for dealing with the flat-eyed Final Smash eyes. You should get your answers.
[guide]
Anyway, you won't notice transparency differences between PNG and TarGA images with The GIMP, which is why it's pretty wise to have Photoshop CS3/CS4 in your arsenal.
Also, for certain stages, if you import a PNG image, the texture may look messed up; one example includes Mushroomy Kingdom's underground stage. However, that's easily fixed up if you import a TarGA image instead.
Ah ok I understand now. How did you perfectly free select that eye like that?
I see. Well I don't have PS simply because you have to pay for it, and...well...I don't want to pay for it.
Ohh. Well I don't make stages nor do I know how to, but that's a tip I;ll have to remember. Maybe I can give people the image I want to use and ask them to convert it to TGA for me.
im guessing this problem has something to do with Smash Stack, Gecko can be a little problamatic with it.
My suggestions:
1. If u feel really brave, downgrade your wii and use BannerBomb or any other useable mod
2. If that scares you, switch from Gecko to Riivolution, it does the same thing as Gecko, except its faster and can replace more things.

You didn't change the size dimensions of the names, did you? The size dimensions of your names MUST match that of what you're replacing.
For example, Mario's CSP name is 144 pixels wide and 24 pixels tall. If you're replacing that name, the new name has to use the exact same size dimensions.
Also, the CSP names use the I4 texture format, so you're making a huge mistake if you change the texture formats.
Wanted to let you know is screwed up in BrawlBox's preview. It's like all lined out and you can't see any letters. Can't explain without showing you a picture of it, though. It appears fine when I view it from the Desktop, though.
Yeah, I realized that.
Save it as a .tga file.
How do I do that? When I Save As... my only option is to save it as a .png or "all files".
BBrawl comes premade for smash stack. Its simply the best resource for it anywhere, most of the B- team use Configurable USB (stinking pirates!) or homebrew. Not one other B- community member uses it that i know of. They just added it as an afterthought and for passing around at tourney's.
Can you have a png file instead of a tga file and still make it work?
Yeah. I don't see the point in TGA files if there are PNGs.
Photoshop CS3/CS4 handles TarGA transparency differently than PNG transparency. For PNG images, a checkerboard background is used for transparency. However, TarGA images use an Alpha Layer for transparency.
When dealing with textures that use the IA4, IA8, RGB5A3, and RGBA8 texture formats, this can be rather crucial to understand, since those texture formats have semi-transparency support.
