211  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Classic Expansion Pack 1.0 on: February 17, 2011, 05:26:23 PM

Wow! This looks great! Well, I wanted to give a few stage notes/questions/suggestions......
SSB64 How to Play: http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/3486/picture3ra.png It should be in a pack with Dreamland64: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=15763
Great Bay: Just making sure you know, ForOhFor is remaking this stage; he's just taking a break. Before his break started I think he was making Tingle.
Melee Peach's Castle: In addition to what you've said, there are also pillars that get in the way of seeing the ledges. (My friend kept PK Thundering the wall as Ness, he self-destructed like every time in the brawl this way! The match only lasted a fraction of the time that they usually do!)
Facility: Not that I'm against it, but why did you add it? I don't recall it being in any past SSB. Is it just one of your favorite stages? Just wondering...
Wifi Room: I suggested this stage in my previous post (with a link). So, just wondering but, are looking for stages like this one? (Non-subspace Brawl stages played in special modes).
Melee Battlefield / Icicle Mountain: I agree with your decision. They're just recolors of Brawl stages and wouldn't fit in with the pack, especially if you don't have anything over the originals.
Another guy make Zebes too.
Wait, other than the 2D version? If so, who made it and where can it be found?
212  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Classic Expansion Pack 1.0 on: February 13, 2011, 10:57:37 AM
I have a few links to some past stages. Some aren't exactly complete but:
Planet Zebes: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=1994 It's 2D, but I think Mewtwo2000 plans on making this.
Flat Zone: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=10571 2D, but I don't think anyone has plans on making it...
Kingdom II: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=7108 This one's pretty good but it doesn't have the enemies.
Melee Peach's Castle: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=6966 It doesn't have Bullet Bill or the blocks.
Not sure if you're looking for these, but: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=7153 Wifi Room
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=9863 Goomba
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=9864 Entei
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=9865 Majora
And you missed a few Subspace stages:
Tabuu Destination: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=7058
Fallen Masterhand: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=7101 where D3 and Bowser face off.
Falcon Flier: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=3717 Vs. Meta Ridley.
Lab: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=7903
Rayquaza's Lake: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=11139
Most of the remake stages aren't complete, but if you plan on updating this then I hope this helps!
213  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: GCT to TXT Converter on: February 09, 2011, 06:09:14 PM
Yeah but when you use it to export a .txt but it has "Unknown Codes" in there; it only recognized nine out of about 40+ codes I have.
Yeah, that's why I use both. I can stay organized, and transition between .txt and .gct files.
214  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: GCT to TXT Converter on: February 08, 2011, 09:15:10 PM

As you can see, GCTEdit can save and open both .txt and .gct files. Code Manager can save .gct and .txt files, but can't open .gct files. I have both, so I know they both have ups and downs.
215  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: pokemon trainer freeze help (NOT SOLVED) on: February 03, 2011, 06:54:13 PM
Are you using any PSA's? Once I messed with Squirtle's moveset and it froze at the SSS. Then got rid of it and it works fine.
216  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: pokemon trainer freeze help on: February 01, 2011, 11:18:32 PM
ok, i have a question, when i check if fitpoketrainer.pac is compressed it says none, what do i compress it to, and that tutorial is for when it freezes whn u switch, mine freezs when the pokemon reach the boundaires.
not impressed oh and idk if it helps but i heard that i had to transfer all of my pokemon textures over to the fitpokerainer folder, is that true.

First of all the .pac files should always have the compression to none, but not just the Pokemon trainer's files. Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charzard should all have no compression in their .pac files and LZ77 compression in their .pcs files. Also, each pokemon has its own folder, they don't all go together in the Pokemon trainer's file. As for why it's freezing, you said that it works when Independent Pokemon codes are on. So, did you leave a code on that's effecting the trainer? (doubt this would cause freeze, thought...)
217  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Questions, would greatly appreciate help on: February 01, 2011, 10:38:28 PM
I think I can help:

1) The result screen is named STGRESULT.pac and is put in pf -> stage -> melee. (for Gecko users)

2) A common3.pac is needed and has to be placed in the pf -> system folder. In common3 find the ItmCommonBrres and you can find each item's texture/model. A common3.pac can be downloaded in the Data Partition Folder found in the "Resources" tab of the vault.

3) Open your sc_selmap.pac and go to MiscData[80]. In there, the textures for the stage select icons are named MenSelmapIcon.##.

Hope this helps!

You need a custom CSS and all the codes that go with it. Here's one

Remember, read all the instructions. It should answer any other questions about the topic.

Edited the link.

Done! Here's the link:

I had to move things around to a fresh Yoshi.pac because the renamed polygons in the file you sent me stopped working when they were exported, but I tested it in game and everything looks good! The problem is that parts of the eye that you made transparent showed up black in-game. I think the egg would have also done this too, but I deleted that also.

EDIT: I forgot o keep your wings. Here it is with the correct wings:

Here:

this should work. I didn't make the saddle transparent, in a hex program I filled the saddle vertex in the model with 0's (if that makes sense).
222  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: question about model swaping on: December 20, 2010, 12:03:41 PM
I'd use the SSBB polygon deleter because the sphere is it's own polygon. Here's a link to the tutorial on it:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wjjd5jwcWe4" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wjjd5jwcWe4</a>

There's a link to the program itself in the description.
223  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Css icon on: December 20, 2010, 10:44:02 AM
If your not using a custom css, here's a way:
1) Take a picture of the character in Brawl (the whole body not just the head)
2) Convert the picture into a JPEG file (unless you decided to take it in BrawlVault)
3) Use Gimp or Photoshop and add transparency around the character. Then save as a PNG file.
4) Search up "Brawl Background" on Google.  Find the one that has the background without a character but has a shadow. Copy.
5) Paste it in a new document of Gimp/Photoshop. Save if you want.
6) Copy the character and put him on top of the background. Try to position him/her so that his feet touch the base of the shadow. Again, save if you want.
7) Export any one of the CSS icons from BrawlBox to your desktop.
8.) Take the head area of your character in the background and copy it. Paste it over the CSS icon.
9) In BrawlBox replace the character who you're replacing's CSS icon with the new one.
10) Save the new CSS to your SD card.
11) You now have an updated CSS!  Awesome Face
224  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Portraits, Menus, (etc...) / Re: BSP (Battle Screen Potraits) on: December 04, 2010, 11:46:08 AM
You mean the ones of characters right? They're actually called BP's. No need for the "screen" part.
Any way this is where they go:
pf----> Info-----> portrite------> InfFace###

Here's where they all are:

Use the trophies.
They can be found here.

Good method except it doesn't really work with vertex hacks
